I do not like that 6 countries from 3 confederations are hosting the 2030 edition. 2030 you’ll have 1 of the first 3 matches each hosted by Uruguay, Paraguay, & Argentina and than those 3 & their opponents have to travel to Spain, Portugal, & Morocco. That’s straight bs. And cause of that no one else beside an OFC nation would’ve been able to put up a bid for the 2034 edition. This goes right there with expanding the World Cup to 48 when it’s fine at 32, expanding the club World Cup and making it every 4 years instead of every year, and of course the asinine idea of trying to make the men’s World Cup be every 2 years. Smh
@@stikeybee24 and we all know not a single Oceania nation could host alone. New Zealand maybe but doubt. It would have to be like the 2023 women’s World Cup where New Zealand partnered with Australia. So likely a CONCACAF nation will end up hosting again. But who besides United States & Mexico? Those 2 can do it alone but Canada doesn’t have enough to do so unless FIFA allows stadiums that seat between 20,000-30,000 to host matches.
@@stikeybee24 and cause of that is why I say again that expanding it to 48 teams is bad. Cause than for some you have to do collaborations for hosting duties. Some nations can handle it solo and others would need to team up cause of how small they are.
@@stikeybee24 the excuse to make more money shows it’s all about greed and less about the love of the game & health of the players. So most likely In newzealand, don't know they will allow Australia because it has some kind of infrastructure because stadiums are small there But australia shifted to Asian federation

what a joke the world cup has lost its touch and needs to stay with one or at most 2 hosts that are neighbors and can actually host a WC without any problems. 6 nations for 2030 our players are gonna be jetlagged and will be easy for the to get hurt cause elevation and weather does effect the game. its sad this is whats becoming of the World Cup.
This is stupid logistically the 6 teams having to travel from South America to Spain Portugal or Morocco is ridiculous 2030 should have been South America 2034 could have been Europe Spain and Portugal 2038 Northern Africa morroco with other nations 2042 then Saudi could enter the fray

@NoCoastRaps well they have costa Ricas coach now and havnt lost a game since with wins over argentina and brazil and 2 ties in altitude one of them being the first team to get a point in 4000 above sea level in El alto.
The first guy suggesting that Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay wouldn't have the capacity to host a World Cup is just laughable... Buenos Aires is a major city. Montevideo and Assuncion are big cities as well. Not even considering any of the other major cities that would have been included... These cities receive a LOT of tourism all year long, they already have a set footballing infrastructure and could easily handle the World Cup... Reminds me when people were questioning the ability of Rio hosting the Olympics, when the city hosts two annual events that move much more people than the Olympics itself... It's just the usual lack of understanding and knowledge from these people...
I agree with you but they are looking at cities outside Buenos Aires and Montevideo when it comes to infrastructure and stadiums and if the tournament was just 32 teams they could easily handle it but 48 is more than they can handle
@patrickfisher4151 my friend, please break your misconception about South America as a backwards corner of the world... Off the top of my head: Rosario, Cordoba, Punta de Este, Mar del Plata, La Plata, Avellaneda, Mendoza, Ciudad del Este, Pedro Juan Caballero, Luque... These are all relatively large cities with good infrastructure for such an event and with traditional football culture - including stadiums.
@@jonpirovsky I know those cities could handle the traffic and the games but they are saying Brazil is the only country in South America that has everything to handle a big tournament like the World Cup and not have to joint host with another country
@@patrickfisher4151 if Qatar can handle a World Cup, any of these countries, which are much larger and with much ampler infrastructure, could handle it as well. Plus, Conmebol's bid was precisely for a joint tournament among these 3 countries. Trust me, this wasn't the issue here...
Outside of those big cities they will have trouble with infrastructure both for games and the people attending it. Don't come here acting like South American stadiums aren't crumbling down. There are like 4 stadiums total that can get away with small renovations in Argentina/Uruguay. The rest would never get approved by fifa

Lol it's every 4 years meanwhile champions League is every God damn year
We could have had Uruguay vs Italy to open the 100 years. The first two World cup winners. In a cohosted tourney with Argentina. .
Exactly this
And then 2034 should have been Morocco, Spain, or Portugal - but not all three smh

Paraguay are quality, but they couldn't beat Costa Rica in Copa America so don't act like they're SO many levels above CONCACAF teams.
Also, USA/Mexico hosting makes sense because we throw amazing events - the world cups that happened in Mexico and USA were great.
