Wow. She yelled at you and said this? It's beyond unprofessional and inexcusable. You need a new doctor. I got a new primary care physician this spring and the woman said I was taking too much vitamin D and that it was going to kill me. Then she goes and forgets to add my D level to my blood test so I didn't even get my level. There are too many horrible doctors out there. Mine seems to act like she has dementia. I am 42 and had a hysterectomy about 8 years ago… when I was 40 I ended up in icu and had a cardiac ablation… weight gain, hair loss, facial hair… energy depleted, mood swings.. I need help!
Polite distinction. Suffering is a part of life. That's a fact. It is going to happen, at some point, in everyone's life. That said, suffering over aging isn't requisite, but it is also fairly common, unfortunately.
Thank you! I am so so frustrated by my inability to lose weight - I eat a Mediterranean diet, I focus on hitting my protein goals, I work and incredibly physically demanding job (fitbit records 120-180 active minutes in a shift), and an active life (two kids under 3), and it seems like nothing I do will take me down even 10 lbs. At 41 I’ve just realized all of the things I’ve been struggling with the past few years are perimenopause - I’m so scared, as someone with PMDD I feel like it’s going to be brutal.
I wish they had taught primary care doctors more of this and taught them to educate women patients early on in life, or even better PCP doctors should ensure all woman patients have a gyne doc to inform them of these matters early on.

This is great info thanks, 45 here and been in perimenopause since 38
Wish there was more discussion about POST menopause issues and needs
At 60 my blood pressure was going up and so was my bad cholesterol. At 61 I started HRT. Blood pressure and cholesterol all went back to normal in 7 months. But still my uneducated OBGYN yells at me I’m gonna die of cancer.
I'm not even kidding.
@@alabaster193 the problem is none of the OBGYNs in the Maryland area are taking new patients. The OB I’ve gone to for 38 years said I was no longer a patient because they hadn’t seen me in a year. And they have a year long wait for new patients. I called all other offices within a two hour drive. This one that yelled at me was the only one I could get into. Our medical system is completely broken.
@alabaster193 doctors are like lawyers...just because they passed a test doesn't mean they are qualified to do the job well 🫤
That’s my issue. I have families with breast cancer. I tried HRT but I felt shooting pain in my breast so I stopped. I have high cholesterol and no option for HRT 😢
I’m a heart patient 72 .. open heart a 43 was pregnant at the time they missed it and had to have abortion … have suffered ever since .. 3 stents … was in 60s before complete menopause hit. Still suffering. 😟😠
So happy to have the opportunity to have come across the Dr . . Such good advice.. Thank you for sharing with us. It's extremely interesting. I'm 64 years old.. I have had a full hysterectomy at the age of 38 years. I what I heard today on your video.. I have learned a lot.
Exercise, beet root, qoqu10 & magnesium
We absolutely have to suffer when we have no money to pay for all of these supplements and doctor bills. I can't take the sticker shock anymore.
I am so happy I found you! I got your book, I am getting appointments with a menopause specialist. I started intermittent fasting. I can see the light at the end of this sad tunnel call menopause. Thank you for educating and advocating for us !!
Thank you Dr for great advice 🎉
Never stop educating us❤❤❤❤thank you
I started HRT I’m so excited to be able to share that I’m even more alive than I used to be here there and every where. 🤩
Here, There and Everywhere...my favourite Beatles song!❤
Thank you for this and being an advocate for us menopausal women before after and during. You are Amazing!!!❤
Thank you doctor. I appreciate your knowledge and your ability to educate others! ❤️ Love this!
Thank you Dr Mary. I love your videos!! I just bought your book the Galveston diet and love it!! I love the recipes. I have tweaked some to adapt to my no red meat lifestyle. As far as cardiovascular disease, I already have been practicing a high fiber lifestyle. The hardest part for me to be disciplined with is the cravings just before my period. I am in perimenopause.
You look amazing! Inspires me to get healthier and stronger and I am on my way!!!🎉
Thank you for saying this!!! I’ve noticed a difference in my heat the past couple of years &! I’m glad to know that I can do things to help it!
I just went threw covid for the first time. My hot flases actually helped me I really think sweating helped me get that crud out
Wish I knew this when I went through menopause in my 30's then had a heart attack before I was 50.
what options do you have if you’re unable to take HRT for cardiovascular health and the many other issues you described?🌈🤙🏽🙏🏻❤️🌺
What are the things we can do to attenuate the risk of cardiovascular issues if we have early menopause?
What are the things! I think I’m going through early perimenopause and I’ve been having PVCs and atrial flutters for years already! 😫
Always looking beautiful!
Thank you so much for doing this for us ❤❤
I have learned so much from you thank you so much
I am 42 and had a hysterectomy about 8 years ago… when I was 40 I ended up in icu and had a cardiac ablation… weight gain, hair loss, facial hair… energy depleted, mood swings..
What medication/vitamins do you suggest for a woman in perimenopause? I am so tired all the time.
I am suffering 😢 I am only 43 yrs old and I am in peri menopause and my symptoms are off the charts intense. I am so tired of feeling this way ☹️
Omg. Such great info!!!! And I love all her vitamins which I do order and are great
Thank you
What are the things? I want to attenuate my risk for cardio vascular issues!
I wish I had you as my doctor
Ok, what do we do if we go through menopause early?
What is young? I’m 54 and just starting to skip periods.
I'm almost 55 and still haven't!!
I'm 57 I still have it Ben 7. Years so far
I am 55 and just stopped 8 months ago. 😊
Wish you wee my Doctor thankyou for sharing your experience and knowledge with us.......good life 😊❤
I n 57 Post Menopause with osteoporosis n Penutian as well thinking of taking Estrogen supplements 😊
I wish they had taught primary care doctors more of this and taught them to educate women patients early on in life, or even better PCP doctors should ensure all woman patients have a gyne doc to inform them of these matters early on.
Making a blanket statement like "weight is not an great indicator of health" only works for those who are not obese...and obesity increases our risk of cardiovascular disease.
What does it mean that your weight is not an indicator of your health? Does it mean u can be overweight and still be healthy? I thought being overweight put u at risk for almost all diseases for all ages. Pls elaborate
I'm thinking that second caption was a test to see if we peri-menopausals were watching and taking note!
Where were you 15 years ago when I needed this 😂
I started minoxidil, microdose a GLP and fired my doctor. Next stop hormones for the win. Thank you so much.
Hey Dr.
What I need to do to make an appointment to see you! Having a lot of health issues related to menopause! Thanks.
Doctor, the caption and the verbal information is inconsistent, please help to re-check in order to be more clear. Thank you!
I went through Menopause at 50. Asked my Doctor about it and told him my symptoms and he said "yes, that sounds like Menopause." End of discussion. Now there is something wrong with my heart but I don't really understand what the problem is. I'm trying to take better care of myself and reduce stress. I had never realized how Stress can literally make you physically ill.
Forgot to mention, I was told my heart was injured at the bottom? They don't know how that would happen! Same clinic In SWWA
Hi! Specifically, what are these things that we can do to attenuate these cardiovascular risks that are tied to menopause (particularly early menopause). Asking as a 40 year old a year into peri-menopause. ☺️ I'm on birth control, but I'm wondering if this could be increasing my risk of cardiovascular disease...
The captions say "suffering is normal"
I am suffering from menopause, at 44 years, and no I have no heart issues. Period.
And what are those things?? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Doctor! My mom is in her 60s, post menopause she started having pain in her feet. Could this be realted to some hormone? Or any specific mineral or vitamin deficiency?
Im so glad i found your channel. Im 41... and now i have low ferritin its really low i see the gynecologist fri 1st time in yrs family is trying to talk me into an ablation no matter what they find due to my mother having issues? Is this normal to get done to avoid future bleeding. Periods have been heavy for the last year? Thoughts?
Thanks again.
shes simply great!!!!
In Canada I suffer. Thank you
Hmmm, haven not heard this before
Interesting correlation
What’s that? How do you attenuate it?
I had a partial hysterectomy at 36. I've felt worse & worse since. I'm now 65 & I hate my life.
You rock! Thank you
Ugh it sucks to hear all these bad health conditions related to menopause. To be honest, I am looking forward to menopause. I am 48, and thought I was in it, but not quite. I tried to take good care of myself, and hope to enjoy many many period free years
Im late to the party but is there a video about the 3 tip? It’s new to me and I’d like to know how I can stay as far from it as possible
