- In this episode I flush out that Prestone Cooling Flush + Clean I used on my 2009 Ram 1500. I do the flushing procedure in 3 steps to ensure the complete flushing of the 3 main cooling system components. I throw tips in throughout the whole video.

Thanks bro this is very helpful. Doing a heater core and evap core change along with a fresh thermostat and flush. I wanna make sure I flush the system before putting in a fresh heater core and thermostat.

However the engine block also has 2 drain points
I changed water pump, thermostat, flushed radiator, heater core. My cabin heater is still not working, blowing cold air and my truck is over heating? Do you know how to fix this problem?
Well sir how did the Flushing go first off
Secondly what thermostat did you use
Thirdly how does the radiator cap look does the spring still work efficiently
If you take out your thermostat and the in and out hoses of your radiator and run water through them, you will achieve the same goal but you just do it all together, right?

Im need to switch my water pump should i do this before the switch or after? Dont wanna get the new one dirty 😅. And little confused on the heater core hoses to flush. Thanks in advance

Do you need to drain the bottom of Engine block too? I saw theres drain spot there too
The way I see it sir is that removing the lower radiation hose drains the block

Drove the truck around today so far so good. Checked water still clean
How much coolant did you add after doing that flush?
A gallon of concentrated antifreeze. Not the 50/50.
@@autoguydiy4244 Thanks for the fast reply!! So that means that only about half the coolant the truck had came out? Owners manuals says it takes 17.3 L of coolant which is about 2.25 gallons of concentrate isn’t?

The truck runs fantastic now in terms of Coolant. Run rite at 203 to 206 on a 103 degree day here in Texas while sitting in red light traffic stay about 197 to 203 going down the road with a/c on fullblast the whole time

No antifreeze/coolant? Just water? There is no corrosion protection there. That's how that gets all nasty.
I'm only going to run it a day or two. Then check to make sure water is still clear. Then replace water with Coolant. If the water gets dirty again. Then I have to flush it again. Then there would have been no point in wasting antifreeze. This isn't my first rodeo big dog
