Pinnacle of driving yes, not the example of what Honda stood for cheap effective transport starting retro fitting surplus generators to bicycles, bikes lead until their first pickup Kei - mini truck.
I'd argue the EF Civic Si hatch was closer to the "everything" but showpieces like the NSX and AP1 S2000 did a lovely job of showing their regular customers where their values stood.
My neighbor had a perfect condition Forest green NSX literally will make you cum in your pants 😂 and he was one of those guys who wouldn't sell that car for any price. Between the NSX and prelude, those are the reasons I got into the car scene
Thats a great looking car, well done Honda. Please build it like this and dont turn the orosmduction model unto an SUV like Ford with the Capri. As you say Ben, "WE NEED MORE CARS".
It was great seeing it in person, gutted I couldn’t clamber in, I’d expect Civic powertrain bored out 😀 mind you we’ll have to wait and see George, thank you
I like the clean lines of the design of the new prelude. I'm just not sure about the nose part, need to see in it in real life before I make my judgement. Having said that...look at that NSX!!
The problem is cars are way to slow for the price these days. They had a civic type r in the 90s that wasn't much slower for way cheaper, counting inflation of course.
The challenge is they now need a ton of safety to sell, increasing weight and price, back in ek9 times virtually nothing, plus automotive inflation in the last 10 years or so has gone ballistic... previously normal ish
@@PlanetautoUK There is 1 photo of the interior that was taken "by accident" when they opened the door posted on the New Prelude forums showing unique seats with a two tone color scheme, push button shifter setup, and similar but unique dash design from the civic/integra.
@@PlanetautoUK Actually, other videos and images of the concept make it appear it will in fact be a liftback - there is a cut line on the roof just behind the 3rd brake light, and it was noted in another video that the rear glass flows into the rear trunk lid rather than under it - so 99% sure from what we've seen it is a hatch/liftback similar to what the old RSX/Integra, Eclipse, and Celica coupes were.
Have you ever driven the new breed of Honda hybrids? I suspect not as they’re exceptionally good, plus 2030 is fast approaching meaning pure petrol days are numbered sadly
No hybrid bs put a damn engine in it only Batteries are very dangerous when they catch fire Stop the bs Honda just give us what we want stop being woke.
@PlanetautoUK heard they are only doing EV here in the US Japan may have the hybrid. Like the US models don't have ambient lighting in the doors like Japan does. Fact check me cause I just got a 2025 accord and if that's the case you just made me get buyers remorse haha
Boy did you say it correctly we need more cars. We need more cars. We are so sick of SUVs so many of us. And stop abandoning manual transmissions.
Thank you OllieCat, be nice to see a manual in this especially.
Picked up the first car I've bought in 8 years, 2 months ago. Made sure to hunt down another manual.
Nice, what did you go for Nater?
well, when people start BUYING manual transmissions...
Just need to make the front end a little longer like the originals and slightly more boxy upfront and it would be damn near perfect
Yes Matthew, that’d look retro modern, nice - thank you
The original NSX was the perfect example of everything Honda, as a company, once stood for.
Pinnacle of driving yes, not the example of what Honda stood for cheap effective transport starting retro fitting surplus generators to bicycles, bikes lead until their first pickup Kei - mini truck.
@@PlanetautoUKbro what. I ain't jap but he's saying Honda should have and should still be, great

Yes great to see it is car, the powertrain sounds pretty good too, hopefully we’ll see an R, thank you Mark - hope you’re all good 😊
@@PlanetautoUK Yes all good thanks. Busy organising some reviews
@markonmotoring great to hear, we’ll no doubt cross paths sometime soon 😀
It definitely resembles the 370z in shape
It certainly looks the part, I wonder if it will change?
@@PlanetautoUK I doubt it. Hopefully it’s quick… high 5 seconds 0-60
I think they’ll tweak a few things, feedback responses etc
@@PlanetautoUK agreed
Wow, that is a stunning motor. Fresh clean design. Wonder if it is electric drive via hybrid powertrain as in the Civic?
It was great seeing it in person, gutted I couldn’t clamber in, I’d expect Civic powertrain bored out 😀 mind you we’ll have to wait and see George, thank you
We are delighted to see Honda back at Goodwood and more importantly, back at enthusiast cars.
Yes it was great to experience Honda FoS, thank you 🛞
I like the clean lines of the design of the new prelude. I'm just not sure about the nose part, need to see in it in real life before I make my judgement. Having said that...look at that NSX!!
We do too, also the fact it’s a car, we need to see inside 😮 yes the Bruno Senna signed NSX is… we had that for 2 weeks 🫨🚀😀 filmed a review on it Yash
Beautiful.
It really is - hopefully it will be on the road soon. Thank you, @VeyroneR
Please let Honda bring back a manual!!!! That is a main demand by buyers in this market.
We’d love to see the FL5 box in this 😀
the fact that its a hybrid kills it for me. Thank you for the video.
That was carved in stone when eHEV arrived, I reckon next Type R will be hybrid if there is one, thank you Bnplaza
No news on being rear wheel drive?
Nothing yet 🤔
How fast and how much? We just have to wait.
Yes, we have to wait 👀

Hmm no sunroof? All Preludes have a sunroof
I’d expect it to be an option when it launches 🚀
Still no photos of the inside.
Yes the mind boggles, retro modern, S2000 or Type R style, we’ll have to wait and see Seth.

Carbon fiber on a 200hp car. Nice.
Presumably, still very little info Centipede 🐛
Is the prelude a hatchback?
It’s a coupe therefore I’d say not.

@robertkonnerth3730 interesting, Honda UK kept very quiet, we’ll have to wait and see
front looks like a honda cr-z n rear like a toyota prius.
Oh, i don’t see that, the rear looks to have German influences to me.
@@PlanetautoUKlooks like. Porsche to me
🛞
Looks good, with the exception of the nose of the car.
We think that looks a bit CR-Z 😀
Honda had this long and this is the shit they give us for the legendary prelude Honda do better
What would need to see in order for that to happen, @tacticalrenegade327?
@@PlanetautoUK more 4th gen styling I had a 4th gen show car pushing 412 hp it was a life defining car
@tacticalrenegade327 hope you’ve still got it 😀
the body looks like a nissan z
But the Nissan Z almost looks Jag like. We think it looks more like the CRZ. Thank you, @rogercantwell3622
Should have been the RSX
That’d never be the case at least not hear in the UK as we never had Acura yet alone RSX - you never know we may see a new Honda Integra though.
@@PlanetautoUK we have a new integra but only a four door ...they need a coupe version
@SaulGarza-fr9fw they do 😀
Looks like a two door civic
It’s a bit NSX, CRZ and Civic, perfect combo.
Rear wheel drive?
Unsure, just it’s 2.2 I’d presume fwd
Me gusta honda prelude. Para. Wendy
We do too 😻
Looks like a 2012 civic with updated bumber
More a CRZ
Not a fan of the front. Everything else looks good.
It’s across between NSX and CR Z🤔
Honda has lost their touch. Doesn’t resemble what the prelude used to stand for. You can do better Honda
What would you need to see from Honda in order for this to happen, @waterloo123100?
My first car was a 1992 Honda Prelude. Absolutely loved that car. But the minute I learned this one might be a hybrid..... no thanks. Ill pass.
Have you ever driven the new breed of Honda hybrids? I suspect not as they’re exceptionally good, plus 2030 is fast approaching meaning pure petrol days are numbered sadly
Hey look they made a Nissan😅
Which Nissan would you say it looks like we see Honda CR Z?
What happened to the daytime light bar across the nose of the Honda Prelude? It's now just a piece of plastic, dissatisfied
On a concept or a later model?
@@PlanetautoUK the daylight that ran across was there on the white preproduction when they first unveiled it during the Tokyo Autoshow
@waylonyeung8577 ah, its gutting when bits disappear on concepts pre production etc, thank you
This needs to have 400+hp but unfortunately it wont.
I reckon 300 ish if it uses a variant of the eHEV system
No hybrid bs put a damn engine in it only Batteries are very dangerous when they catch fire Stop the bs Honda just give us what we want stop being woke.
If only it was that easy in the UK and the rest of Europe

Pricherz
Nobody will buy.. because $$$$$
They will… look at FL5 or NSX
Nsx look😅 350z😂hmmm
Plus CR Z can’t forget that 😀
Tood bad it's only an EV
It’s a hybrid tm

The UK is hybrid - it says that on Honda UK’s website plus I quizzed them at Goodwood 😀
@PlanetautoUK yea that ain't coming to America cause if it was they would have already been sold.
@PlanetautoUK well I think you might be right haha I got two years to pay off the accord haha
new prelude is a bad joke
We’ll wait and see 🛞 before sharing our verdict
Gross; looks like a 4th gen
There was a lot of love for there retro styling and I fail to see the similarities
Its ugly. Looks like a prius
Ohhhh, the new one, that looks awesome 🤩
