I think he was. They were known to improvise on DW, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the doctor’s pun was improvised and he was about to apologise to Frazer
@@1groundfog I genuinely hope they're like in someone's basement or attic, and they clear it out one day, and all of a sudden we have all the missing episodes! Would be amazing, but probably zero chance of us getting them all back
@@CoconutMigrationCommitteePatrick is Matt's favourite Doctor, it's why he wears a bow tie & has quoted his famous line, "You've redecorated, haven't you? Hmph! I don't like it!"
“You might even say they had a complete metal breakdown” Best pun ever, and I study puns And I think the line was improvised, as Hines and Troughton were known to do, because the doctor looks like he’s about to say “I’m so sorry, Frazer” instead of Jamie, but catches himself at the last minute.
I think it's why I enjoyed it so much as a child, though having not seen it in years from adult perspective I can't really make a full comparison. But yes, many of these clips, and the whole puzzle test with the shape blocks is just hilarious.

good vid and makes me appreciate Patrick trouhgton and frazer heins as the best doctor companion duo you left out the bit when the doctor and Jamie go in to the tomb and they both hold hands thinking they were helping Victoria because that was one of the best moments of tomb of the cyber men
Pity you didn't include the bit from Tomb of the Cybermen when The Doctor & Jamie accidentally hold hands, believing each other to be Victoria when they weren't looking & then got offended & dropped their hands immediately upon realising because it's the funniest scene between them. 🤣
@@GlennSkywalker2305There are only 2 episodes of The Invasion missing & they were animated years ago & released on DVD. I just watched it this week again after a few years.
I just finished the Classic and now I’m watching the Tenth Doctor it’s good but the Classics are way better. The Tv Movie was complete garbage also. And Two with Jaimie and Zoe are the best Tardis Team
And now a Team Four Star version of the volcano scene... Two: It's quite alright, Jamie. Long as the lava effects the island. Jamie: "WE'RE ON AN ISLAND!!" Two: "SHIT!!! 😱"
I love how Two and Victoria just run away when Jamie says he has idea XD
"Victoria, I think this is one of those instances where discretion is the better part of valor..." Ouuuuch :))) what a great rapport there...
"Victoriaaaa"
Do you know what episode it’s from?
@@CoconutMigrationCommitteeThe Abominable Snowmen.
Yeah, but his idea worked. 💪🏻
0:58 - 1:00 The way Troughton's face shifts between joyous glee to "I've left the oven on" is Fantastic!
These two are a the best double act on Doctor Who ever.
And seven and ace they are good too
Edit: also it helps that pat (2nd doctor) and Fraser (jamie) where actually friends
The Ponds are just behind at second.
Donna and Ten
@@dwoktheraynejonsohn4849 true I love ten and Donna
@@Jowsh44 I find them both grating myself.
I love how they're often huddled together like they're scheming constantly
the way Troughton says "I'm so sorry.. Jamie' sounds so sincere and real. It definitely sounds like he was talking to Frazer there XD
I think he was. They were known to improvise on DW, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the doctor’s pun was improvised and he was about to apologise to Frazer
he nearly says Frazer you can hear him start to make an "F" sound

incredible together...
Jamie is by far my favourite companion!
Tamashi88 Same here! I love Jamie SOOOO much!
“Yes but we happen to be *on the island* !”
“OH MY WORD!”
At 1:43 it almost seems like Pat almost said "I'm so sorry, Frazer" instead of Jamie
Oh yeah
Those two had a truly great rapport...cannot wait until we find more of their lost episodes
Given that they actually were friends and liked to improvise, I wouldn’t be surprised

Jamie's constant mood is just 100% done.
When 2 and Victoria run from Jamie having an idea, I can definitely see 11 doing that to one of his companions 😆
Matt watched some of 2’s episodes to prepare, so I wouldn’t be surprised

It's reminiscent of "Rory, she's having an emotion!"
The doctor apologising for a bad joke is the best
Jamie is like the son the Doctor never had. He truly is one of the most special companions in the entire history of the series.
I'm pretty sure Troughton and Hines played their dynamic like an old married couple as a bit of a joke at the expense of Mary Whitehouse
its impossible not to love these two

1:16 is my all time favorite Doctor Who moment. Though it doesn't work as well without the end the previous scene in the episode.

These two are so funny!
