I love the implication that if he hadn’t had his mind wiped, Jamie would have remained with The Doctor till the day he died. Jamie was truly the first ride or die companion
I feel like what made Jamie and Zoe really stand out from other 1960s companions is that they weren't always trying to get home again like Ian and Barbara or Ben and Polly or there because they didn't have anywhere else to go like Vicky or Victoria but they stood out as travelling with the Doctor out of a genuine desire for adventure and a love of travelling in the Tardis.
@@bloodmoon0205 Steven also had that thing pf joining out of a genuine love for adventure at first, but having to go through the events of The Myth Makers, Dalek Master Plan and The Massacre essentially broke his spirit and turned him into nothing more than the stick in the mud keeping The Doctor and Dodo from getting themselves killed

Patrick Troughton is one of my favourite Doctors. My Mum watched his original run between 1966-1969. She was a bit too young to have watched the Hartnell years. She always said that Troughton and Tom Baker were her favourites. She introduced me to the few reruns of what remained of the Troughton era in the early 1990s.
