They would not have put the fire out with water; they're in a drought, remember? They would have used dirt in any event, both to preserve water and to preserve the wood for future fires.
Even though this movie was a comedy through and through at the same time pretty much every scene was filled with so much semblance and examples for one to follow. Dude literally went across America with not even a knife only the clothes on his back, Tallit, Tefillin and the Torah Scroll. Despite being robbed multiple times and by providence regaining the scroll every time, the first by the robbers discarding it seeing it of no value and the second here in this scene by his robbers being moved to compassion and respect seeing just how valuable it is to him. He befriended a bank robber unwittingly and starts to influence him to good by nothing but example. Doesn't Shabbat not even when being pursued. Gene Wilder nailed this role
I swear remember this scene and he was singing something in another language, as they lower him over the fire, it looks like his lips are moving. Don't know why I remember the scene that way. Either way, it's a brilliant movie and Gene Wilder is genius, as always. RIP Rabbi
Roman, it was given to Israel, not only the tribe of Judah. Gentiles or nations (strangers) are to be grafted in, not seperate. Same instructions different priesthood. We’re all in exile until messiah returns and takes us all home, back to Jerusalem. If you practice lawlessness or Torah-lessness you will not enter the kingdom. Hear and obey Yeshua and you can’t go wrong. Shalom.

I didn't edit the sound. Maybe you're thinking about a different scene?
I remember this as well. He sang something in Hebrew.
Yes he sang in Hebrew.
Sarabeara, you're beautiful
Watch 30 seconds before this scene he sings in Hebrew. He has a proud aura on him accepting his fate. Strong scene.
Amazing!! His hair didn't catch fire!!
It did 2:34
One of my favorites
Val Visoglio.
Tremendo actor.
It is his deed. Torah is the word od G'd, and it is, despite being fiction, an excellent example that every jew must follow.
Cláudio Pinheiro not fiction..
Andy l and not for the “Jew” only.

@@Law9223 you think The Frisco Kid isn't fiction? 😂
Why would you follow fiction??
I have read this book, I did not understand one word lol
Ruth in the coming kingdom of God, we will all be taught the Torah. Messiah is the living Torah.
The " TORÂH " 💯% ❤️👍🏻...
