I play on EU and I can honestly name at least 10 players against whom I get matched constantly. And I'm pretty sure it's not even cause of ELO (1650ish with like 52% winrate, just your average player)
This is unbelievably well made. I’ve never even played Smite yet feel as if I’ve just sat there for 8 years playing each and every minute of this game’s existence. A true masterpiece of a video.
Hoo boy... This was a roller coaster of feelings for me. Nostalgia, concern, anger, happiness, dedication. I made lots of good memories in this game and won new friends that I talk to to this very day. It felt like... home. And the people who made this game, the people that gave me a place to be happy, to feel like home, which felt like this was the only home I had, was destroyed by the very same people. Thank you Deathstroke. Thank you Hi-Rez. But also fuck you Hi-Rez.

Crazy that this only got 1k views as of typing. As a new SMITE player, this brings a lot of things into perspective and shows how Hi Rez has been taking the absolute piss out of the community. Crazy that they could reverse course in one season and make SMITE an enjoyable game for people who used to play but, won't do it because money.
I literally watched from season 2 to season 6 I started playing in season 5 and I know the game was buggy and it had problems but I didn't realize it was always that bad currently this game has so many bugs and QoL things needs to be added its not even funny at this point even the fucking Loki rework, they spent a *year* in the making ended up as him being a warrior in conquest, and if you go jungle on him, you go bruiser what a joke.
Even tho i disagree with some of your opinions, this was a great document and analogy and very comedic one also. You need much more subscribers and you would have much more subs if you weren't making content about Hi-Rez (a little ironic) godspeed man. Waiting for moe content

Great video it's sad to me that the community always seems to work against itself as well as Hirez being more so focused on short term gain rather than long term success you made points that have been echoed for so long yet nobody seems to listen or care anymore I knew when the first loot box was added it was downhill from boardgame events that were actually fun and exciting to these boring and lazy buy all events that reward you for buying bundles its sad that Hirez still conducts itself like they're broke and the community defending them are the same ones who will complain when a 75 item chest drops. I pray each season Hirez gets it together and finally makes changes for the better but they are far too stubborn to do so and the community is too defeatist to try anymore. I'd like chests to be removed entirely but I know this won't happen

So many of these balance issues seem like they just highlight issues with conquest. Arenachads don't care if one item has more damage than it should. Solo? Junglers? Never heard of them

going through this series cause the first two caught my attention, but holy shit the length jump from the tribes ascend video to this caught me so off guard.
Good video, everytime and i have to say i spend money on the avatar event but that was my nostalgic brain taking control over my wallet. Every time i give this game a chance with the promises in the patchnotes about what they """"fixed"""" has left me more and more and more dissapointed... I liked them adding a bigger roster to choose from (f.e. Merlin, Arthur etc) but still. Even with the new god coming (Danzoborou) wich i really look foward to im HEAVILY debating even trying him despite how fun i might find him because of SMITE itself. I have abandoned it. If they EVER make a comeback somehow ill give them a second chance but so far im not gonna. Its (imo) a dead horse running on prostethics with a nice costume slapped on top of it to make it seem alive. (Btw fantastic video! Really explained my whole ride with the game up until this day)
So sad I still enjoy the game but it's tragic how hirez failed smite players Sure hope the new pve adventures that have been delayed a whole season will be good
Watching this series as someone who's played a lot of paladins and no other hi-rez games is wild. I recognize a lot of the same mistakes paladins made here. You'd think they'd learn after the first time
Excellent video, more people need to make some noise in order to put the pressure on Hi-rez forcing them to do things right, their game on 2021 is barelly playable, and most of the fanbase are mediocre idiots that will say Smite is fine as long as Hi-rez puts alot of skins behind a pay wall... for some reason, Hirez manage to get a fanbase in a game that barelly works, people are just fine with their skins, and thini their game has no flaw, Hirez is diggin money, while players cant get a decent match because i have seen more stable matchmakings on mobile gaming... Smite literally diserves to die, to starve to death just like all other Hirez games.
I do agree the second joust map was more aggro and more early dependent. But honestly I didnt hate the map and the playstyle it made. It just made more comps more early dependent

Old video I guess, but I have been experiencing random freezes/stuttering in Smite, that could last up to like 30s, completly unplayable, sometimes it would straight up just kick me out of game, back to main menu even tho was far from finished. I thought they might fix it in the future, nah, it's still not fixed, devs/support don't asnwer to these issues and there's no solution really. And it started happening years ago, not even any slight improvement, every patch it seems to get worse and worse actually. I'm kinda sad cuz I used to play this game a while back when nobody knew of it's existence, got some of my friends into it cuz I really liked the idea of a game, gods, mithology and stuff. There are some "workarounds" using 32bit version client and lowering settings, but why the fuck would I do that, I can play latest stuff max settings, yet this decade old game can't run well. Tbh I just quit the game, I have no hope for it or any other Hirez game in general, I also used to play Tribes Ascend and they killed it as well.
Smite looks old. UI-wise. Hi-Rez's UI design looks old and cheap in general. Just look at Paladins and Smite. The splash arts look like they're from a 2010 game. The menu looks like Brawlhalla's.
I started Smite in season 3. Outside of the memories with friends, I regret playing the game. The things it does to you… is just insane. I loved the fact we got consistent content, but there is a reason there was about 25 god and item adjustments every patch.
I had a good time with Smite. It was extremely brief before I noticed the god I choose to practice, Ares, was essentially pointless if the enemy team bought a single item. A non expensive, versatile item. And then I was just some asshole with a fire shield.
Incredible video as always buddy, even after shamelessly becoming a whale for this game after getting sucked in during the start of season 3 even I have decided to just leave. The game has literally just gotten progressively worse its such a joke
Personally im glad that smite exists as i was able to have thousands of hours of entertaiment, met some of the best people i know and went through a first competetive gaming experience. The game has the best mechanical gameplay ive ever seen and high level games arr really enjoyable. Im still having fun playing with friends and qing ranked althogh ranked can sometimes be somewhat tilting. Thats why i love smite.
Just so you know, they made a vtuber collab just a month ago... Same problem as before and people still gobble it all up. I mean the skins themselves look pretty terrible. And the fact that they are vtubers.... Ugh...
Smite is to LoL what Paladins was to Overwatch. What im trying to say with that: Garbo game, dont take it serious. Edit: I just realized that paladin's is property of the same company as smite.
