One is a battle royale that makes the beta testers on twich depressed , the other is a corridor pvp shooter with next to zero movement that takes places completely indoors??? and the third is a remake of the original Star Siege: Tribes (aka the first game in the series) which is BOUND to be dogshit aswell considering the way they handled ascend. This IP is is just lost in the hands of incompentent idiots who have no idea what they are doing. Just like 99% of the entire industry nowadays anyway...
play the old one called Tribes 2. its free people have all the files, patch, and map packs for it. pretty easy installation only issue is that its only active during certain times of day, mostly on weekends.
Reasons Ascend died: 1. No one in pubs played any objective in a game that requires it even in pubs. 2. Objectives were basically none existent like attacking a gen meant nothing. 3. Weapons like the mortar cannon felt neutered 4. Speed cap I guess. All I know is at one point I remember playing and noticing I couldn’t go any faster no matter what I did. 5. Therefore…no one played. So even if I wanted to play out of desperation, no one played the game at one point.
I cant stand the pay to win bs that exists in gaming these days. Pay for the fcking game and play it. Greed has destroyed so many would be great games.

Ive signed up for the beta, hopefully I get let in soon, rlly wanna re-live the days of Tribes Ascend. I also really hope they learnt their lesson about treating their community like trash.
@@ArtistiqueMusic honestly, if anything, it wasn't the devs fault for the community being treated like trash, it was Hi-Rez stealing the devs from the game to work on Smite and or being forced to change things about the game, like how they were forced to push a final update as essentially a PR stunt.
@melon_ are any of the people from Hi-Rez at Prophecy Games? Or just the Tribes Devs?
@@ArtistiqueMusic afaik anyone who was from hi-rez at Prophecy were devs on the original. It's unlikely that it'll be treated anywhere near the same as Ascend was, it's already insanely different with a ton of transparency from the devs and listening to the community.
I've played tribes since i was a kid. And ever since the IP has been acquired by hi-rez it's just gone down hills from there. Just look at the 3 new """games""" they annouced after literar 10 fucking years of complete radio silence.
GG hirez
ahh tribes. the sad thing is those anti-consumer decisions they made would be considered rather quaint by today's standards.
some sort of cash grab, yep...
fuck i wanted to play it
play the old one called Tribes 2. its free people have all the files, patch, and map packs for it. pretty easy installation
only issue is that its only active during certain times of day, mostly on weekends.
Reasons Ascend died:
1. No one in pubs played any objective in a game that requires it even in pubs.
2. Objectives were basically none existent like attacking a gen meant nothing.
3. Weapons like the mortar cannon felt neutered
4. Speed cap I guess. All I know is at one point I remember playing and noticing I couldn’t go any faster no matter what I did.
5. Therefore…no one played. So even if I wanted to play out of desperation, no one played the game at one point.
Pay to win ALWAYS kills games, some quicker / slower than others.
yesterday I downloded the game and there were 0 players
I wish Steam had Starsiege Tribes.
Heh, pretty sure the ARs and SMGs is what poisoned the game.
still mad whenever I think about hit scan weapons
outro music?
It's "Seven Years of Bad Luck", from the Watchmen OST ❤️
Thoughts on the newest tribes game?
Is it made by Hi-Rez?
Incredibly barebones and laggy. I wouldn't hope for much
Balls
look up tribes 3!
this is really sad, i loved tribes to shit, too bad it was on the hands of hi-rez
VGCG
Does anyone play it anymore?
Sometimes, even i come Back sometimes.
I wish there would be more Players or a new Game where people just Play.
That Game Design ist awesome.
Shazbot !

I cant stand the pay to win bs that exists in gaming these days. Pay for the fcking game and play it. Greed has destroyed so many would be great games.
Yo tbh this video is dumb. From what I have gathered Hi Res did more than others would and I feel like they made a game they would play themselves.
Cringe take
Cover me ! I have the enemy flag !
hi rez are the most cratively bankrupt game company i've seen.
the moment a trend pops up, they immediately create some cheap clone
