Didn't mention in the video but SMITE 1 will continue to be supported even after SMITE 2's launch. They didn't specify how long it will be supported, but did mention that it will be.
I do hope supporting both games doesn't cannibalize both games. Its nice they are not straight up abandoning SMITE 1 but splitting the already small player base might not be good.
I don't know if anyone picked up on this yet, but it looks like Loki is getting his taunt back in smite 2!!! I can't believe it, and I can't wait for Loki to be great again!! Edit: maybe not, I saw the quick pop of the 2 and thought it was old 2 effect.
While I am disappointed we do not get every smite 1 gods on launch, I understand why they chose to release them one at a time. Several gods need tweeking, others, need new models and animations, new effects. They need to import evey mechanic from the first game to the second one WHILE making new gods. It costs a lot and is time consuming. So the disappointement is just a feeling, and I'm overall excited for Smite 2! I just hope that Sol will be on the roster of the 2nd game since she's my main.
It’s fine. Less gods will be more manageable for newcomers. The game needs a big boost of fresh blood. It already, in my opinion, is the best moba. Hopefully a new release will put it on top where it belongs.
A lot of them will be on launch, more than smite 1's launch roster by a large amount. Hopefully the release the other gods in batches every month after release, otherwise a lot of old players may lose interest lmao
I know expecting them to port over every skin is completely unrealistic but the fact that they're saying "We're giving you something but you still need to pay us for more" is what I think everyone is complaining about more so. The problem isn't that "Oh we're losing all our progress" but it's that legacy gems only make things 50% off. To me, having a graphical overhaul for smite is not worth the complete wipe of all (or most) skins. I'd much rather they just focus on the ability and item changes. And I know that it's probably more complicated than just pressing an "import model" button from UE3 to UE5 but I wouldn't hate the idea of just having the old skins still present in the new game just without the upgraded graphics. It's not like Smite is a stranger to graphical styles clashing with the chibi skins, crossovers, cell shaded skins, etc. I'm still very interested in the game and hope it turns out well, I've already signed up for the alpha, but I think if they don't address the skin scenario even with Smite 1 and Smite 2 running concurrently they run the risk of chasing away a lot of old players.
I mean overwatch did that. They made legacy coins where you could not purchase everything with them. I don't understand why people feel entitled to get everything for free in a new game.
@@majorshepard2 They did? Damn didn't know that part. Well the more you know. Also people aren't being entitled to get everything for free in a "new game". I wonder if Ratatoskr will keep the current acorns with the changes to them being power becoming intelligents or strength or will he end up with a single acorn rather than 4
Being able to build from the ground up in a whole new engine i feel like should allow for so many new mechanics they can add especially with the more in depth animations
@@ahmarcamacho8404I think what people are missing about the T5 skins is that the new regular skins will blow the current T5 skins away. The things they’re going to be able to do to the new skins is going to be wicked. They don’t want old code or style in the new game. Sounds like they made a hard line of 100% fresh start.
How much of your Dark Souls 2 character transferred to DS3? Did you need to keep your entire Madden dynasty in every new iteration? If you want to use those skins, play Smite 1, the game they were created for.

It’s not just that they’re not porting skins over, which is a gut punch for how much I’ve spent for the cosmetics I enjoy. It’s also how aggressively they marketed the RECENT skins while KNOWING they won’t port over into Smite 2. I’m thinking specifically the recent crossover events! The other part I’m not thrilled about, is how limiting the Legacy Gems are. ONLY 50% off, which means I will still need to buy gems to get through even a fraction of the Legacy Gems I’ll have. I’d much rather have a lower fraction of the Legacy gems, but be able to spend them in an unlimited way. Give me 20-25% of all the gems I’ve spent in Smite as regular GEMS in Smite 2. Heck I’d be happy with 10-15% if I could spend them however I wanted, and to fully purchase any skin or event.
Fair take. However hi rez is investing a lot into this and they'd probably be making practically nothing on skins for quite a while if they did that. This is already a big gamble for the company.
@@chillpengeruwe'll see how that gamble goes. I think the same way as the first guy. It is an engine and graphics update, not an entirely new game, these coupons are pretty awful and the way they worded it was very scummy imho.
yeah its just a scummy cashgrab pretending to be a graphics update. like literally every god in the trailer cept anhur looks the same with just different lighting.
Someone said this on the Steam discussions, and it made a lot of sense, they could have invested in Smite 2 a long time ago, instead they kept using Smite money to fund all those failed crap games (DKO, Realm Royale, etc), so yeah, sounds like a cash grab doing it at this point in time. And there's another 2 things that can make these "legacy gems" even worse of a deal: .1= We don't know how things are going to be priced, they could bump the price of everything by 50% and these legacy gems will have 0 value. .2= They even put in the video, "Legacy Gems can be used for 50% off MOST IN-GAME PURCHASES", key word here, "MOST", not all, the game could launch and your legacy gems are only available to use on recolors, voice packs and T1 skins for example, again, making them nearly useless. The more you see it, the worse it get's lol.
Dude, you already got what you paid for before you even knew a sequel to the game was coming. Asking them to port skins over just cause you spent money on them 4 years ago is ridiculous (and that's putting it lightly). You'll still have all your skins in the game that you bought them in, asking for those same things for free in a completely new game is kindergarten level of spoiled. Not to mention literally no one forced you to spend money on skins in the first place, that was YOUR own choice.
Love the idea of all items being purchased on all gods! However the layout of the new item trees seems redundant and like a worse version of league’s. I like smites original item trees so much more and really hope they keep that design while just opening up the ability to purchase more items
Feeling bad about all the crossover stuff not being ported and all the exclusives to our accounts not transfering. I hope they touch on the things that aren't skins. Is my music and announcer packs going to transfer? My wards? What about my boarders?
I think everyone can agree a fundamentally better game will be better for the longevity of the game . They can make crazier skins with the same ideas it will just take time . Porting exact ones over would be daunting . Altho crossover skins should be the first ones to go thru while they can
@@johnnytest471the games been out for years and still strong. I don’t think longevity isn’t the issue. It’s laziness from hi rez. Literally they probably have skins that are cross over from 1 to 2 already (new bellona and jing wei skins) made but can’t invest time to redux old skins? Same with the situation with the gods, 2 a month just to get back to what’s already in Smite 1? That’s absurd.
@@ShaBoingBoing399 I mean honestly man how big do you think hi Rez is? Running on older unreal engine was its fallback the core part of smite was old and couldn’t be replaced without replacing the whole games engine. This is either gonna make or break it , are you not gonna mention how they are reimbursing you for long time playing , your skins , hours, and gems ? I mean just in the gems category I’m gonna be getting a crazy amount and it will be used as 50 percent so it’s doubling any currency I’ve ever had in smite . You could say smite is still going but the player base is upset . We all have been for a while now it’s time for some good change and I’m up for it
My biggest thought/concern is if characters (biasly, my little handful of mains) end up severely weaker/ changed for the worse when transitioning to Smite 2 (Its not a good comparison, but Doomfist in overwatch-additionally came to mind.) However, I can't deny how extremely excited I am for it and am even thinking of treating Smite 2 as my potential chance to rebuild/restart with different mains and even try to get serious with ranked (or atleast try to enjoy ranked in general) again. And I really hope they keep color-forged around.
My issue is that on release, itll have less content than current smite. No skins prior to year 11, not even half of our current God pool, legacy gems arent all that good and who knows if our mastery ranks, stars, old ranked borders and basically any other cosmetic moves over. I dont see a real enough reason for me to switch right away and ill probably end up playing Smite 1 again after the first week. Doesnt seem like a really good idea to split up the already small playerbase by just saying "play smite 1 if you dont like it" It should maybe come out at a later date when they can release with more content
unless they intentionally remove and shut down smite one to force people to play smite 2 and yeah they 100% would do thay if they feel they need to do that
I think what you are missing is the idea that launching smite 2 will bring in new players. One of the big problems with long running games like smite is that as time progresses, the number of people per year who want to try out the game dwindles. Then, when new players hop in, they don't have other new players to play against, instead getting stomped and trash talked into oblivion. I've been playing since around 2015 and I really do think that it's a good idea to refresh the game and entice some fresh blood into the series. Then again, they've been pretty terrible at advertising their games *cough* DKO *cough* so maybe not lol
Saw this on another youtuber's video, but it's mostly confirmed that God Pack won't transfer as well, you now have to buy a "Smite 2 Founder's Pack" to get acess to the God Pack. What's worse, the wording here implies that there won't be separate, less expensive God Pack anymore, either buy the 2x times more expensive Founder's Pack, or get fucked.
Imo they should’ve just ported smite 1 into the new engine and focused all available resources to bringing as many skins as possible to the new engine before releasing new gods, new skins, and changing the game’s core mechanics. As it is now, I foresee the player base being split and old heads leaving because of the way they’re handling gem purchases
@@CarolinaPride95 port was the wrong word. I meant remake in the new engine. The point was more that this is probably going to end up being a misuse of resources
It would be nice to port the most played skins over in the the next 10 years. At least, the limited/unlimited skins. If a player owns it in smite 1, then auto have in smite 2. Just make it a low priority side project.
The camp on side jungle is not the portal to teleport to the other lane? You can see Ymir activate some kind of a portal to assume that's a teleportation portal.
it will be awesome and im so hyped about it since smite 2 sounds like the solution to every problem i had with smite in my 7years of playing. ALSO REGION BASED ESPORTS AND LANS YEEEEEEEE
Tbh only being able to use Legacy Gems for half of a purchase feels scummy. Something to the effect of “I have a 50% off coupon, might as well spend more money.”
I'm more curious if Slash, Assault, Arena, and Joust will br dropped. I know Conquest players want them to drop all the other game modes but honestly I don't want that to happen
Ain't no way they'd drop Arena, it's literally their most popular game mode even if it isn't the "main". Hoping for Assault to be there too, but I'd understand if they'd first wait for a bigger roster to release it.
Arena Assault and probably Joust will almost certainly return, at worst they won't be in the alpha but will be at release. Slash might not return tho, it's not very popular
Not sure if you know this but I want to switch to pc for smite but I play on ps5. So would I get my account and everything thing else like skins and gems on pc?
They need to do more than just offering 50% discount to the people that used their money to buy with a 100% the price. I think a better offer is transferring 70% or around that range of all the gems your spent in smite 1 for actual gems for smite 2. Makes more reasonable and doesn’t feel predatory. Giving a 50% discount to basically a refund kind of transaction is not something I would consider a good move. Just my personal opinion.
if they did that theres a chance their revenue would be cut greatly, there are most likely not gonna be that many skins when it releases so the people who spend money on skins will prob be able to buy all of the skins they want so they wont earn any money from skins which is one of their major points
This but not all at once, they could slowly roll these gems over a long period of time, let's say your total gems are 100k, you get 2.500 gems per season for example, and that goes on until you get all your 100k back, this is more fair to the big spenders, but also means they won't have a buttload of gems to spend all at once in the first month of the game. Another aspect most people are overlooking, the announcement says "ON MOST IN-GAME PURCHASES", this means you won't have that 50% off on a lot of things, and who know what those things are, as far as we aware, the game will launch and your legacy gems can be used only to buy voice packs, recolors, T1 skins and icons for example, doesn't sound like a good deal.
The legacy gems not being able to purchase 100% of skins is a dealbreaker for me, I will not give them my money. I spent like 2 grand in the game over the years and that means I would have to spend another 2k to use all those gems. NO, absolutely not.
Nah grinding out 10 years of skins to be given only 50% of the value is a gut punch. I was only loyal to Smite over LoL because I started with Smite on console. Now that I have a PC this was the push I needed to switch to League. It was a fun ride while it lasted 🤷♂️
I have a major question what about the people on PlayStation that swap to pc but have their hires account link does both accounts carry over(gems spent) or just one account?
@bool_aid_man510 I would say those with Stockholm syndrome are the ones desperately clinging to the video game cosmetics they overspent for 5 years ago.
I don't understand if it makes sense to buy old skins now. The legacy addition is the founder's set with the removal of gems? and will the new cross skins of the eleventh year be transferred to the second part with a refund or does this only apply to the old ones?
I wonder how they are going to balance lifesteal when it works differently for physical and magical at the moment. But if Int, is ability damage and strength is auto damage, then even lots of assassin are gonna be building int....
Have we gotten any more details on how the account linking works? I’m pretty sure it’s platform exclusive but one of my buddies seems convinced I’ll be able to link my PlayStation account to a PC account (since my PlayStation account has more gems for the legacy gem)
So heres a question. For us all that bought the unlocked god packs will that still be a thing for smite 2 or do we need to buy the gods all over again and get the god pack again if its even a thing?? I dont want to have to rebuy every single god again esp when I bought the unlock every god for free and every future god that came out...
"porting the skins to the new engine will take alot of work" i cant see that being the case. they have skins in smite that use the old models on reworked gods so just port everything over 1-1 and change them to fit the new style over time. hirez is milking the fuck out of this and everyone is fine with it. i think this is the only company in the entire world who can get away with this without major backlash. imagine if blizzard or riot did anything like this? they would be lit up like a wooden burning building.
Blizzard and Riot Games are multi billion dollar companies with headquarters around the world. Hi Rez doesn't have the budgets they do my guy you should learn economics before giving an opinion
It's not so easy like you think. You have to spend time and people to port it over. Some animation changes could break a skin. So they have to essentially make the skin completely new to fit it.
@@majorshepard2 that really how it works? i though every god/character had a skeleton that they made its movement on, just copy paste a skin on it? pretty much work this way in the older UE as i have seen modders talk about how they add their own animations and such.
@@Moffattt Smite is a free to play game. They need to monetize their game somehow otherwise there's no such thing as Smite. I don't know why you're giving your opinions when nobody asked.
So one thing I don't like, is them coping item mechanics from league and stuff. I liked that gods seemed more stream lined. I would have preferred them adding magic and physical damage to items to make them available to both classes. Over changing that. But maybe that's just me. I'm also sad that I'll be getting a ton of gems back. But will still have to grind out new gems to use them. Or buy more. It's going to suck seeing like 100k gems. And not being able to buy the thing I want.
The new item shop seems a little unintuitive for me, but I guess we'll see how it goes. Very exciting to see them make that big push and release a full on sequel to smite, been playing for damn near a decade at this point. I do think people haven't really been entertaining the perspective that this is a new game, though. While transferrable skins are nice, I think when you're talking about free-to-play games, it's a bit unreasonable to expect a full inventory transfer. A lot of people are saying that they're "losing" their skins but there's actually no reason that the skins need to be in smite 2 at all, since the first installment is still available.
Also we need to address whether or not we will be able to keep the God Pack if purchased. I don't really care for my character skins but that god pack is way different. If I had to purchase it again would would leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Exactly, I’m surprised this isn’t talked about more. That would be pretty ballsy of them not to even mention it until release day then drop the news on us.
@@corneliusm3054 I don't think it's all that odd to have the god pack non-transferrable. I mean, it's not the same game, so why would it transfer? The 30 dollar price tag on the god pack is the equivalent of "purchasing" the game (assuming smite 2 is also free to play). They aren't running a charity, after all.
The steam page for Smite 2 is already up, and the requirements are super low, it's asking for a GTX 660 as recomended, but that's probably a placeholder, that or Hi-Rez made some miracle with the game lol.
Oh god it's even worse than I imagined. Legacy gems seems to be like coupons, so we necessary need to pay again for the same skin we bought in Smite 1.. Idk but as far it looks, Smite 1 will have more gods than Smite 2 for a long time and even after Smite 2 realease. So, unless they stop updating Smite 1, make a new deal to veteran players or close the server, it more worth staying in Smite 1
So happy to see the community is excited Hirez wont be able to balance much anymore. Any god using any item. So if you thought mages were fine basically running solo lane, being tankier and more dmg than worriers. Thats coming back. There was a reason some items werent allowed of certain class of gods so zerg shield coming back to hunters. Crit is coming back to mages, guess they learned their lesson from when it was first on them in beta. Cant wait to crit for 4-6k on just a scylla puddle. If you thought hirez balancing in smite was bad, your gonna love smite2. But you know, being able to do your troll builds and throw every game is what you wanted so there you go.
I really hope they stop the confusion of role picking in ranked matches or even casual matches. They need to make it so you can pick the role before going in to a match…
@@jcthivierge6623 True, but it can be better than what it is at the moment. They can make the matchmaking cater to people who want specific roles before going in to match lobby. Just an Idea/example, Choose your game type > Pick your role > Wait for matchmaking algorithm to put you in the right place/match. People who choose roles in high demand will get a game quicker and vise versa for people who choose most popular roles.
I really hope voice packs transfer over, I’ve been playing smite for a long time and over that period I have earned and rolled the chest a couple times with favor, to the point where I have most of the voice packs lol, I just wouldn’t want to start that all over
I find it hard to believe that none of the cross over skins will transfer, I mean one of the biggest ones they did was Vshojo, I doubt many players will be pleased loosing any other skins which where LTM or big crossovers
Very very nice. Much better graphics, textures, engine and new animations for abilities?! Very nice. Also, Chaac looking sexy. I approve. Hopefully Chaac gets his moan on all of his skins. The handsome man is looking good! Not saying Chaac was included in the release trailer for me and my 50 stars but I appreciate it! Also, IGN said "brand new backend matchmaking system" so HOPEFULLY this means no more golds and plats ON MY TEAM while the enemy team are full diamond and masters players. Hopefully shifters and other bruiser items come back so us warriors may thrive once again. Smite is at its best when warriors are strong. Wait so now EVERYONE gets a free ward?! Constantly?????? Now their is absolutely NO reason why these high ego hidden profile adc mains reduse to ward. Absolutely NO reason! Finally, I can't wait to see people dodge games in unreal engine 5 because NOBODY wants support.
Although I am excited for Smite 2, i do feel this will make or break Smite. A lot of veteran players are mad that they do not get the skins they bought in Smite 1 ported to Smite 2. I get that this would take forever to port each skin, but if Smite 2 is nothing more than a graphical upgrade, than in my opinion it's not worth it. There needs to be a large improvement in terms of gameplay to justify the loss of skins. I want to see what gameplay changes they wanted to make for Smite 1, but couldn't due to the UE3 limitations.
What angers me is the fact that they apparently dont have enough recourses to put every god in the game, but still can make 4 new ones before adding every old one???? It just litterally feels like a manipulation 😅 as well as this move is clearly based on a risk of getting new players and not keeping the old ones, but if so them it doesnt even matter to them if the god is completely new or old new, it still is going to be new 😅
I am hyped, but I am not really happy about the shop changes, and that it's not about magical and physical damage anymore. I really liked those systems. The skin situation is sad at first glance, but you have to keep in mind this is a different game. And the first one was for free and it's not gone with the launch of smite 2
Seems to be a ton of backlash on the skins, made a post on the subreddit and man, people were not happy with my take lol. A lot of people just have unreal expectations on what Hirez should do with the skins or the legacy gems. As someone who has spent literal thousands of dollars on the game, 1353 skins, every voicepack, and an ungodly amount of other cosmetics in the game, i am totally fine with giving it up to see the game get a desperately needed update, and getting essentially half off everything is pretty generous in my opinion.
I am curious to know the exact meaning of 50% off MOST purchases, the fact that they didn’t say all is a bit concerning 😂 but I’m also someone that spent way too much money on smite 1 and as much as I’d love to see some of my favorite skins in smite 2, I understand why they can’t
My only worry is if they will finally allow cross progression between xbox and PS, bc I have an xbox one and used that as my main system for Smite for many many years but now I have a ps5 as my main system. If not then I'll end up losing everything and have to start at level 1 again 💔💔
Not loving the amount of money people have spent on skins being wiped in half. I understand the need to forego porting all of the skins and also not wanting to give anything away for free but damn. I'm personally on the lower end of this but some people have spent a considerable amount of money on gems and it feels like they are just like "Yeah? So what? Spend more". Not a great taste in my mouth. Other than that the game looks great and it's a much needed path forward for Smite overall.
The legacy gems thing is so fucked up. The idea that you get all of your purchases taken away from you, you're refunded your currency, BUT you can't use that currency unless you spend an equal amount to it? Absolutely despicable. At least overwatch 2 had the decency to let you keep your old cosmetics. I don't care how much of a "true sequel" Smite 2 is claimed to be, that's not what people wanted, people wanted an updated engine, maybe then it would be worth supporting the game more with purchases, instead of being forced to make purchases to make use of money i've already fucking spent. What a joke

@@majorshepard2but they also ported over all the cosmetics that you had paid for and free ones
@@MasnyBen2226 but they had only like 25 characters. Smite with over 120 gods and many of them having 10+ skins is a different size than overwatch
I wonder if Ratatoskr will keep the current acorns with the changes to them being power becoming intelligents or strength or will he end up with a single acorn rather than 4
Probably the heal and stun acorns would be using intelligence, the others would be using strength. Unless they rework the acorn out entirely.
Being able to build from the ground up in a whole new engine i feel like should allow for so many new mechanics they can add especially with the more in depth animations
I understand the leaving most skins but I feel like at least tier 5 should be transferred over and the way the gems work is not great imo
honestly agreeing with it, they should have only considered releasing smite 2 when they could transfer everything over imo
I agree , Tier 5 skins should be the exception for the transfer
@@ahmarcamacho8404I think what people are missing about the T5 skins is that the new regular skins will blow the current T5 skins away.
The things they’re going to be able to do to the new skins is going to be wicked.
They don’t want old code or style in the new game.
Sounds like they made a hard line of 100% fresh start.
See this? This is a good take. I like this idea.
How much of your Dark Souls 2 character transferred to DS3? Did you need to keep your entire Madden dynasty in every new iteration? If you want to use those skins, play Smite 1, the game they were created for.
I’m hoping that when they port over certain gods they rework them I, hoping for Charybdis cause it feels like she has 2 abilities
I think she's very good , 3 is very good for safety & ult hits hard but needs setup or CC
@@Rampage1Rulesher ult sucks man. makes you immobile for like 4 seconds, only immune to cc, literally pushes enemy’s back and it doesn’t even do much damage compared to other hunters. one of the worst in the game big dog

I am actually excited for what new gods are going to come to smite.
That sucks with the skins not crossing over. I’ve got some pretty valuable skins that I’m sad I won’t be able to use in Smite 2.
"valuable" lol

@@Jadizi no one else but him gives a fuck then, obviously
@@chillpengeru why ever would you care about his skins? Stop being ridiculous for the sake of argument.
And there's another 2 things that can make these "legacy gems" even worse of a deal:
.1= We don't know how things are going to be priced, they could bump the price of everything by 50% and these legacy gems will have 0 value.
.2= They even put in the video, "Legacy Gems can be used for 50% off MOST IN-GAME PURCHASES", key word here, "MOST", not all, the game could launch and your legacy gems are only available to use on recolors, voice packs and T1 skins for example, again, making them nearly useless.
I haven't actively played smite in a long time, will be giving this a try. It might be a nice fresh start.
Love the idea of all items being purchased on all gods! However the layout of the new item trees seems redundant and like a worse version of league’s. I like smites original item trees so much more and really hope they keep that design while just opening up the ability to purchase more items

Yeah i haven’t seen much people talk about this only caring about skins 🤔
I am very invested in finding out more about Announcer Packs and Music Themes especially! I was really collecting them.
We all have been for a while now it’s time for some good change and I’m up for it
My biggest thought/concern is if characters (biasly, my little handful of mains) end up severely weaker/ changed for the worse when transitioning to Smite 2
(Its not a good comparison, but Doomfist in overwatch-additionally
came to mind.)
However, I can't deny how extremely excited I am for it and am even thinking of treating Smite 2 as my potential chance to rebuild/restart with different mains and even try to get serious with ranked (or atleast try to enjoy ranked in general) again.
And I really hope they keep color-forged around.
I think they should definitely port over the tier 5 skins
Super happy worshipers and mastery stars carry over. I'm sure the 400 star Lokis/Aphros are also happy.
Where is the source for worshippers etc carrying over? I can't seem to find it, and frankly I'd rather everything be hard reset anyway.
@@chef416said it during the keynote
Im gonna need Kuzenbo early in Alpha, I need my special, kappa throwin, shell spinnin boi
Those purple "camps" in the side jungle are actually teleporters that teleport duo to solo or vice versa
Hm.
What would happen to Ultimate God pack? I either missed it or they didn't talk about it
I was wondering the same thing. And man all my voice packs
They literally couldn’t port smite 1 to the new engine, I think you’re missing that part 😂
Yeah, I don't think slowly porting over the top 2-3 skins for each god over the next however many years would be too horrible of an ask

Do we need to spend our gems in smite before smite 2 comes out? Cuz you get a 50% discount untill you spend the gems you had in smite.
The camp on side jungle is not the portal to teleport to the other lane? You can see Ymir activate some kind of a portal to assume that's a teleportation portal.

Whats the point of buying anymore skins at this point then
Nox and aphro need complete overhauls
Well that’s 11 years of gems down the drain… feels great
@keepitsecret-dl1pr literally how it feels ngl
Nah grinding out 10 years of skins to be given only 50% of the value is a gut punch. I was only loyal to Smite over LoL because I started with Smite on console. Now that I have a PC this was the push I needed to switch to League. It was a fun ride while it lasted 🤷♂️
So how long are we thinking until this actually drops?
So correct me if im wrong but if I buy a skin in Smite 2 now for lets say 1000 gems, the legacy gems will only cover 500 of it or how does it work?
That's exactly right, 50% percent off, which is kinda disappointing, but it'd whatever

"porting the skins to the new engine will take alot of work"
i cant see that being the case. they have skins in smite that use the old models on reworked gods so just port everything over 1-1 and change them to fit the new style over time.
hirez is milking the fuck out of this and everyone is fine with it.
i think this is the only company in the entire world who can get away with this without major backlash. imagine if blizzard or riot did anything like this? they would be lit up like a wooden burning building.

So one thing I don't like, is them coping item mechanics from league and stuff. I liked that gods seemed more stream lined. I would have preferred them adding magic and physical damage to items to make them available to both classes. Over changing that. But maybe that's just me. I'm also sad that I'll be getting a ton of gems back. But will still have to grind out new gems to use them. Or buy more. It's going to suck seeing like 100k gems. And not being able to buy the thing I want.
Graphic update looks good but I don't like change in item trees. I am interested how strenght and inteligence scaling will perform in practice.
Chaac can recall his axe. Heard it in the background of a weaken video from a dev.
These changes are everything ive wanted
Did they say anything about the all gods pack being transferred if you own it in smite 1 if not is it coming back
Also we need to address whether or not we will be able to keep the God Pack if purchased.
I really hope they stop the confusion of role picking in ranked matches or even casual matches. They need to make it so you can pick the role before going in to a match…
there will always be people who arent happy to get supp and int, its the nature of mobas
Maybe they can even put a timer up showing approximate wait time for a game in that role.
So if I want a relic I have to sacrifice one item slot and i end up with 5 items? Am I right? Can someone explain me :) ?

I really hope voice packs transfer over, I’ve been playing smite for a long time and over that period I have earned and rolled the chest a couple times with favor, to the point where I have most of the voice packs lol, I just wouldn’t want to start that all over
They already said in the keynotes that everyone will have the base voice pack for each god.
I find it hard to believe that none of the cross over skins will transfer, I mean one of the biggest ones they did was Vshojo, I doubt many players will be pleased loosing any other skins which where LTM or big crossovers

Its ONLY on Playstation??
The purple icons on the edge aren't camps, they're teleporters afaik
Will fenrir finally be released ....?
Will my god pass transfer from 1 to 2?
fingers crossed that smite 2 will be cool and very good
My only worry is if they will finally allow cross progression between xbox and PS, bc I have an xbox one and used that as my main system for Smite for many many years but now I have a ps5 as my main system. If not then I'll end up losing everything and have to start at level 1 again 💔💔
That gem system complete garbage why the fuck would I want to pay for skins when I already did before in regular smite
That bellona ult made me bust, that knockup?!?!? My real wife is gonna hate me when this launches.
Damn that all the cosmetics won't be carried over is really a punch in the guts but it is what it is... I'm gonna miss my Tier 5 Hades Skin
Will you keep your gods in smite 1 for smite 2?
What a joke
