El Castrol es mucho mejor que el Motul, Motul lo que tiene es una gran campaña de marketing y publicidad para llegar a la mayor cantidad de población posible, pero los que saben de aceites, saben que el Castrol es mucho mejor que Motul.
From the datasheet, both were comparable in terms of viscosity index. Can't go wrong with either of both oils. I used Motul 7100, my bike feels the same 🤷 feels normal, nothing wrong, the engine's healthy. The oil does its job. Use the correct viscosity, change at regular intervals, that's all
@@empowerd1 Depends on the bike, on a small bike like a C90 every 1000 miles, on a bigger one that holds more oil it can be longer like 2000, or 4000, some bike makers say 8000 but that is too high I think. Or once a year if your milage is low. I would say change it before it starts to go black in colour. You can see the oil change from clean to dirty as it gets older.
Piotr, It is somewhat confusing to watch your video and read your description. In video 5:33, Castrol floating and clearness are both better. The color scale (middle of the screen) is marked 10 on the left (most clear) and 1 is on the right (darkest). The Castrol is the higher number and your " 9/10" description matches. However, in your "Q and A" (6:03), you indicated that the lower result is better lubricating. That Q&A claim might lead people to think Motul were better since Motul is darker so matched the scale's lower number side. That is confusing.
ya me cambie de motul a castrol sin haber visto este video ,hay una enorme diferencia en el ruido del motor y lubricacion de taquees hidraulicos , con motul sonaban mucho ahora nada con temperaturas de cero grados ambientales

Just 3 passes from 20C to 250C. You need more than only 3 cycles to thermal stress the oil. Thats equivalent as 3 runs use of your car (on the ring pack area, where the oil really gets to 250C+ once you shut it down, but way more time than a few seconds, since the pistons and rings masses are greater than the oil around ring pack itself, taking longer to cool off.

What do you mean by the term "flush"?If you want to use an additive to,supposedly,"clean" the engine before changing the oil i strongly suggest you to NOT,repeat,NOT do it. Parts of the additive will REMAIN inside the engine and will seriously degrade the new oil performance and thus, the engine protection.DON'T DO THIS mate, you might ruin the engine.
Well it looks like the Motul starts to bubble at a lower temperature, so maybe in an air cooled engine which can get very hot the Edge is a bit better. The Motul is still good though, better than the average oils. The Edge is slightly better for wear too so maybe it is just a bit better all round (you can see the wear tests in the spreadsheet link in the title). Not sure if it makes a big difference in the real world in an engine vs in a lab test.
