My advice: if you want a slick back, but you have a cowlick, leave the hair long all around your cowlick. That will cover it up. Come other hair slightly over it, too. The best products to hold it in place and to keep the cowlick from splitting your hair into two halves are Murray’s Pomade, or hair glue combined with extra strong hold hairspray. Water based pomades and gels simply will not be as strong. No joke wear a hairnet when you’re alone and/or in bed at night. I struggled for a long time with a slicked back undercut until I figured out exactly what to do. The secret to Murray’s is applying it properly. That’s a whole other set of steps.

Thanks Andy I don’t know why this just resonated so much, in fact I do now I’m 33 and finally learning to love myself I’m taking a deep interest in my hair and Iv styled my hair in such un natural ways to try and emulate a style I like.. which is fine how ever I was not following this basic principle and now yea styling my hair is a lot easier..

My mom's dad live to be almost 69 and still had it all. My uncle , his son, the brother of my mother, was bald by the age of 50. I'm 44 and I still have it so far.

I think I have that but it have 2 swirls very close to each other like the back is always pointing up and the rest of my hair is straight I either have to put gel in the back head to push it down as was wondering what else I can do to push it down without using gel and what do girls think when they see a double crown

I think he still has a bald spot with hair thinning. Overall his hair density looks very low in that area
