    Your passion for your work is so obvious and therefore inspiring. I have been cutting hair for 35 years and have learned from you. For me, your clipper work is incredible. You come across as a person who wants to learn more... ALL OF THE TIME. This is why you are successful and, more importantly, will stay that way. However, I do wish to offer some advice on your scissor work. Your scissor action is very jumpy/choppy when you are gripping a section of hair with your palm towards you... one moment of distraction or a sudden movement from your client and blood will flow. My advice for you is this... rest the "still" blade (the non-moving blade) against the middle finger and slide along while cutting. NB Stop cutting when you reach the second knuckle of your middle finger... this will prevent you from taking a chunk out of your palm. This action will also look good for your videos also. The way you cutting "in hand" right now looks hesitant therefore appears amateurish, which you most definitely ARE NOT!!! I hope that you take this advice as helpful and not as disrespectful.

    Honestly bro, my hair would by far be the hardest hair you’ve ever cut. my front top corners are receding heavy. Like half way to the back of my head. But the middle isn’t. So what i started doing to hide it is i just started using clippers on the sides and back of my head. A number 3. Then I started growing out the top of my hair, combing it straight forward, then using clippers to line up the front straight across. So eventually the hair on the top back of my head grew in and now my corners cover the receding spots and are even with the top middle. If that makes sense. So you can’t even see my hair receding now. But I don’t know how to blend the longer hair on top of my head with the sides so it kind of looks like I have a crew cut with no fade. N I can’t even go to a barber because none around here can make it look good. I’m really self conscious about my hair. It’s one of my biggest insecurities

    Dope cut very nice❤I know they like the beard bushy and that’s ok but to bushy defeats the clean look and sorta throws off the cut😮 Just a slight trim of the beard would’ve made a difference…..😊

      In high speed cutting and curly hair cutting, thinners are essential to get a high quality finish.

      In this cut, at the temple area , where the straight fringe meets the parietal ridge, at the temple, this barber used sizzor-over-comb to blend.
      The result is not smooth enough, its nit seamless.
      A blending area where 2 different lengths meet, is called a 'Ridge Hue'.
      Frontal area ridge hues, are best dealt with, using thinning shears. Very large teeth that are widely gapped and 7 inches long, are called 'Chunkers' and these are for finishing edge lines on 'solid form' ie: 1 length haircuts, especially where there are no layers cut in, so the weight line is horizontal and heavy...chunkers are a finishing tool here.
      Same with barbering where you are finushing off a curly mullet edge or shir back and sides, where the top has 2 or more whorls (commonly called cowlicks), thinners diffuse all the differing hair density here.
      Thinners are elemental tools, once you clearly understand their purpose.

    • @hanah9185
      @hanah9185 7 місяців тому

      Note the blend area at the temple, has a darker shadow after the cuts complete. Because sizzor over comb does not take out volume, it only aligns lengths.
      When there's a fafe underneath, particularly a #1, then the fringe and parietal ridge has the hair density of a #3. The gap in between is the heavy shadow of hair, its only been connected with sizzors. Instead using thinnners to take out weight here, on both sides, polishes the finish because this us where a fade, becomes tapeted to the top and front.
