My husband died in January after 46 years of marriage. I've been with him since I was 19 and now I'm 67 years old. I'm creating a new life for myself as I have never lived alone in my whole life. It's different but I find myself liking it more and more everyday 😊

"Where did my boldness go?" haha I am just the opposite.. the older I get the bolder I get. My motto is "I say what I mean , and I mean what I say!" I think it started when I was 50... now I am 73 and I love it. No one intimidates me now. Its a wonderful feeling.
I had a rough week too my knee was swollen & when I was folding the laundry I twisted my leg and heard my knee cracked & the pain was unbearable, found an orthopedic on line 7 miles from my home & they agreed to see me , I had to force myself to drive and went, after couple of x-rays on my knee & my knee only an arrogant rude doctor came into the exam room & looked at me knee & said I need a knee & hip replacement 🙀🙀🙀what ??? I am not complaining of my hip just a swollen knee & pain . I asked if there are any alternatives the answer was nope but I can take anti-inflammation for 6 weeks & he was sure it will not help me what about the pain I am in pain …too bad…I left the office very angry , went home & started looking for another knee specialist, found one went the next day he said he’ll suck the fluid in my knee give a cortisone shot & I shall be fine after few days resting & not standing on my feet. No knee or hip surgery? I asked his answer nope you do not need it. I wonder how may patients had unnecessary surgeries they did not need !!!!
Good for you to get a second opinion. So many people just take one opinion and are taken advantage of. I had a dental appointment where there were a few dentists in the office. The lady said I had 8 cavities. I went to another doctor and he said I had no cavities and my teeth were in good condition. I wished I would have reported that dentist. These people out of integrity need to be reported.
Someone told me that at our age, “ The worst is over, it’s done. We finished our education, our career, raising our children etc” so this has actually made me more bold. I am 64 and I find because of this I am more bold.
My 93 year old mother in law had a wi-fi picture frame while living in assisted living. I surprised her one day by sending her pictures of Clint Eastwood to her picture frame, her big crush. She loved them!
That’s so sweet, Her Clint Eastwood! - My husband and I used to have one person we called (our silly fantasy love) mine was Robert Duvall ‘still is’ 😊. Um I want a Wi-Fi picture frame, perhaps Christmas. ❣️ ~ 🌲

That dress is stunning on you Susan,it also looks very comfortable. It is still cold in the UK, I wish spring would hurry up. I still feel very sad after the death of my cat Marcus, he was such a gentle boy….the day we got him he was so shy and afraid…eventually he would lie next to me, I would put my hands on him and send him love and he would start purring. It was an honour to earn his trust over the years. I remember when you first saw Desi he was so afraid…look at him now. Our animals are so precious, every day we have with them is a gift.

Very hard week for me. Fell into depression. I work two jobs and have had issues with both of them. One of them is retaliating against me. I was under the old contract and they got a new contract and wanted me to drop my salary by $7.00 and work more hours for less without benefits. Fighting the fight and going to the labor board to sue them. They have been sued many times before. I'm 65 on 4/20. I'm tired but feel I need to fight.
Five years ago, I was upset arguing with my now-ex on the phone in a parking lot next to the street of my childhood home (I was there for comfort). I felt weak & defeated. Suddenly, I saw my 10yo self riding her bike past my car, the breeze blowing her long blonde hair, and a huge smile on her face. She looked at me, young & free, before mean boys jaded her happy spirit. The flashback of my younger self gave me the strength to let him go. 💗🌷
I also was brought up to be seen and not heard. My daughter reminds me often, I'm allowed to take up space. My wants and needs are just as important as anyone else's!

I couldn’t do without my KitchenAid mixer I make the Amish white bread in my mixer with the dough hook make it in the mixer bowl Knead it in the bowl let it rise in the bowl with a kitchen towel over it and Oila’ you turn your dough on a little flour shape your 2 loaves put in a greased loaf pan let rise again And bake wonder ful loaves of bread. I’ve been in love with it since day one.

So true, at 67 I feel like I am in an adult childhood… learning all over again. It is so wonderful and I know it is a gift. I never lose sight of this gift of aging.
Susan, every single time I see Desi my smile just goes from ear to ear. I loved seeing him out in the beautiful green grass and flowers. He looks so happy. "This is our yard right mom?" he's so proud.
A few months back I was on the struggle bus; life felt hard and overwhelming. A dear friend said to me “See SPRING”🌷👀 ~ Even in the midst of the darkness, a vision of new life resonated within my spirit. Not long after that I began a restorative care program with the chiropractor from my BNI group (who focuses on treating the central nervous system). Mine had become so dysregulated from all the trauma in my life. Although I had done a lot of mental and spiritual work, my body was still keeping the score and NEEDED more help than I could give it. Today I feel like a completely new person❣️I’ve rebranded my business… and for the first time in many years I am filled with the HOPE and FAITH of better days to come. Here’s hoping this might inspire someone else to “See Spring” again as well 🌷👀 “See, I am doing a NEW thing! Now it SPRINGS up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
Amen to that Scrpture verse! God is so faithul..so good! The Lord is reminding me to look forward to the new things He has for me as well...to stop looking and ruminating on my broken traumatic past. Grace and Blessings to you!

I'm 20 seconds into your video and I love that your granddaughter has an airplane in her purse. The last flight I took, the flight was a little delayed and I think that they had to call a new pilot in. The new pilot was all of 4'10 MAYBE and she couldn't have been over 95 pounds. Flying a 737. I thought "Oh my god, honey I'm so proud of you!". I didn't know her LOL. But I felt such immense joy that it's such a logical career for women now! Who knows? Maybe your granddaughter will be a pilot too. Wouldn't that be great?? Edit: OMG I'm so sorry you cut yourself! Two days ago, I was using kitchen scissors to open a new bag of coffee and it was tough. I thought "huh, that's weird!" And I neatly cut the palm of my hand open I feel your pain! I hope that it heals soon!
I love this picture that was just a candid picture you have aged beautifully I turned 69 in March You made a comment on how privileged we are to grow old. I lost my Mother at the age of 12 she was only 34 . I miss her but I know we will be together soon. I am so proud of your braveness to buy a great house at your age good for you. I think we mellow as we age and some of the things that really got under our skin when we were younger no longer bother us, not because we are timid but because we recognize that our time and energy are limited and we dismiss the issue because that's not the hill we are willing to fight and die on.
I have to say, you look younger now than you did in the sun dress summer video you showed. That Bifida serum IS working! You look so beautiful in this video, bright firm skin! I haven’t ever heard of Bifida, so I am going to look into it, thank you. I am 73 now but feel much younger. Both dresses are very flattering and pretty. Have a wonderful time on your date next week! I love the picture frame idea. I never knew that other people could send photos directly to them! My kids send me photos all the time to my phone, but having them surprise me in the picture frame would be so fun! I have a bold 4 year old granddaughter too, and she also has purses stuffed with all manner of things, including her favorite nightgown. Solei wanted to wear it out to dinner, so her mom had the brilliant idea that if she would put on regular clothes, she could carry the nightie with her! 😊 She showed me a doll the other day and saiid, "She's not happy." I asked why not, she answered, "Because she doesn't want to be." She already knows that happiness is a choice.

Avocadoes can be frozen also. I slice them, freeze on a tray and when frozen put into ziplock bags. Great in salads, smoothies, guacamole, etc.

That dress is stunning on you Susan,it also looks very comfortable. It is still cold in the UK, I wish spring would hurry up. I still feel very sad after the death of my cat Marcus, he was such a gentle boy….the day we got him he was so shy and afraid…eventually he would lie next to me, I would put my hands on him and send him love and he would start purring. It was an honour to earn his trust over the years. I remember when you first saw Desi he was so afraid…look at him now. Our animals are so precious, every day we have with them is a gift.

Very hard week for me. Fell into depression. I work two jobs and have had issues with both of them. One of them is retaliating against me. I was under the old contract and they got a new contract and wanted me to drop my salary by $7.00 and work more hours for less without benefits. Fighting the fight and going to the labor board to sue them. They have been sued many times before. I'm 65 on 4/20. I'm tired but feel I need to fight.
I hope you FIGHT and find people who will help you FIGHT HARD!!!

Five years ago, I was upset arguing with my now-ex on the phone in a parking lot next to the street of my childhood home (I was there for comfort). I felt weak & defeated. Suddenly, I saw my 10yo self riding her bike past my car, the breeze blowing her long blonde hair, and a huge smile on her face. She looked at me, young & free, before mean boys jaded her happy spirit. The flashback of my younger self gave me the strength to let him go. 💗🌷

I couldn’t do without my KitchenAid mixer I make the Amish white bread in my mixer with the dough hook make it in the mixer bowl Knead it in the bowl let it rise in the bowl with a kitchen towel over it and Oila’ you turn your dough on a little flour shape your 2 loaves put in a greased loaf pan let rise again And bake wonder ful loaves of bread. I’ve been in love with it since day one.

So true, at 67 I feel like I am in an adult childhood… learning all over again. It is so wonderful and I know it is a gift. I never lose sight of this gift of aging.
Susan, every single time I see Desi my smile just goes from ear to ear. I loved seeing him out in the beautiful green grass and flowers. He looks so happy. "This is our yard right mom?" he's so proud.
A few months back I was on the struggle bus; life felt hard and overwhelming. A dear friend said to me “See SPRING”🌷👀 ~ Even in the midst of the darkness, a vision of new life resonated within my spirit. Not long after that I began a restorative care program with the chiropractor from my BNI group (who focuses on treating the central nervous system). Mine had become so dysregulated from all the trauma in my life. Although I had done a lot of mental and spiritual work, my body was still keeping the score and NEEDED more help than I could give it.
Today I feel like a completely new person❣️I’ve rebranded my business… and for the first time in many years I am filled with the HOPE and FAITH of better days to come. Here’s hoping this might inspire someone else to “See Spring” again as well 🌷👀

I'm 20 seconds into your video and I love that your granddaughter has an airplane in her purse. The last flight I took, the flight was a little delayed and I think that they had to call a new pilot in. The new pilot was all of 4'10 MAYBE and she couldn't have been over 95 pounds. Flying a 737. I thought "Oh my god, honey I'm so proud of you!". I didn't know her LOL. But I felt such immense joy that it's such a logical career for women now! Who knows? Maybe your granddaughter will be a pilot too. Wouldn't that be great?? Edit: OMG I'm so sorry you cut yourself! Two days ago, I was using kitchen scissors to open a new bag of coffee and it was tough. I thought "huh, that's weird!" And I neatly cut the palm of my hand open I feel your pain! I hope that it heals soon!

I lost my Mother at the age of 12 she was only 34 . I miss her but I know we will be together soon. I am so proud of your braveness to buy a great house at your age good for you. I think we mellow as we age and some of the things that really got under our skin when we were younger no longer bother us, not because we are timid but because we recognize that our time and energy are limited and we dismiss the issue because that's not the hill we are willing to fight and die on.

I love the picture frame idea. I never knew that other people could send photos directly to them! My kids send me photos all the time to my phone, but having them surprise me in the picture frame would be so fun! I have a bold 4 year old granddaughter too, and she also has purses stuffed with all manner of things, including her favorite nightgown. Solei wanted to wear it out to dinner, so her mom had the brilliant idea that if she would put on regular clothes, she could carry the nightie with her! 😊 She showed me a doll the other day and saiid, "She's not happy." I asked why not, she answered, "Because she doesn't want to be." She already knows that happiness is a choice.
