I'm still trying to process all this. I know you've heard of Six Degrees of Separation. I to was saying prayers and grieving the loss of Jan Martin Mullins last week. Jan and I were both members of the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support group on FB. My heart breaks for you, her family and especially little Conner. 😢💔. I lived and worked in Kingsport TN. I still live just a few minutes away, still raising my granddaughter alone. It was our biggest fears that we would pass before our grandchildren were grown. My heart breaks for everyone. Our group will continue to keep Conner and family in thoughts and prayers and if we can help in any way please let me know. From the first time I watched one of your videos I felt a connection. And we will remain in prayer for little Conner. These children are out world. ❤🤗
I am so grateful for your words tonight,,,so many tears...how wonderful for you to connect with me and let me know you knew Jan,,,, and Connor, the pain is so deep. I am so happy to meet you...lots of tears. Jan would never want us to cry...she would want us to be strong and get to work at something important,,....,,my love to you and yours, please reach out any time so we can stay in touch? Much love always, Susan
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during your loss. I, too, am of Mullins descent (grandmother) and was raised in Dickenson Co., VA., about an hour from Kingsport. My husband and I also raised my granddaughter, who is now 22. May God bless and comfort 💕
RE: your Weller Pottery basket/bowl, your friend is so right: you were meant to bring it to your home. So many simply view these as "things" to occupy a space; but you see how these items bring beauty and joy into your home. I also love the fact that you embrace color; and lots of it! 🌺
Aging is inevitable, being old is a choice❣️ I found your video just in time since my BFF is coming to spend my 80th birthday with me and we can’t wait to go ‘thrifting’ again like we did years ago! It’s winter now but we will walk down memory lane with a summer vibe and the joy of being together! You have such a beautiful spirit - thank you for sharing your thrift store finds and your lovely home! 🥰🐅
Sue...I so enjoy your videos. You are so inspiring to me. I know what it is to lose someone you love...I lost my husband many years ago..we were newlyweds and his passing was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. He was a Police Officer and he was killed in the line of duty. The pain of losing him never diminishes, you just try to live you life as best as you can. ...I so look forward to listening to your positive views about life and about making the best of our lives...know that you are so admired.
I'll never understand why some people come to a UA-cam channel knowing the content and then get offended by something in it and just dump all over the light it brings. There's enough negativity in the world as it is. Leave your grumpiness at home, please. We like the beauty this channel brings.
I just turned 65 & had a beautiful realization before my birthday that I’m happy not to be searching anymore. Not searching for love, for salvation or redemption, not searching for security, nor for prosperity. I have it all right here, right now. Thank You Susan for All You do for us - Love & Joy to You & Desi 😘😘🫂🫂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It gives me such a sense of peace. To me your words are so profound. Each week, when I listen to Susan speak it's such a calmness that not everyone is gifted with that can make you feel @ peace. Thank you both!🌿🦢🪻🌴🌻🌴🌷🦢🌿
I’m right there with you also. It is the place to be. The place that “we have been searching for”. We have found what we have been dreaming about and searching for!!!!❤
My mother who is long gone now once said to me, “ Marilyn, you think I color my hair because I’m vain don’t you?” I said, no mom I do not think that at all. She said, I color my hair, because when I look in the mirror, I don’t want to see an old lady. If I see an old lady looking back at me, I’m a start acting like an old lady and I definitely don’t want that. Now that I’m older, I completely understand what she was saying. She was always so young at heart.
I'm your age, born in 55'. Back in my 40's I was talking w/my mom on the phone, as we often did. I remember the conversation so well, remember I was cleaning my linen closet when she called. We shared our day w/each other. Somehow we got on the topic of getting older. I told her I'm reminded of my age when I walk past the mirror. But inside, I'm really just the girl I used to be-- w/the same feelings I had as a girl. My mom listened, paused before speaking, then said, "I know, Karen, I feel that way too." Then I understood, most feel that way. I treasure the girl I once was, but the reality is, she is still here, inside of me. I get much comfort knowing that. Thank you for sharing. I do my best to share with my three grown children, pieces of me w/them. Love them so. ❤❤❤
You and I think alike. I’m only good at being young and the people that I know that act their age are already older before their time. I find that much worse than taking the chance……. I am totally in love with your thrift store shopping purchases and your home! You are a beautiful person. ❤️🌈
I once met a 90 year old woman who said to me “I’m 90 years old on the outside, but I’m 16 years old on the inside”. She was as sharp as a 16 year old when she spoke.
Hello, I hope you're safe over there? I hope this year brings happiness, prosperity, love 💚 , and peace all over the world 🌏. I would love us to be good friends in honesty and in trust so as time goes on it will bring something great for us in the future, hope you don't mind? I'm Frank Lange from Brooklyn New York, where are you from if I may ask????❤
Today was a down day for me at age 80yrs , not feeling great , Was a bit in the dumps. I am an avid reader yet Not anything I Thought to do seemed to work. I really wanted to go out and Visit a lovely garden Center, yet I just lay in bed feeling I was Getting to the end of my time in life . I am a cancer survivor And it scared me to think of what is affecting my low energy Gradually I recovered by looking at my home and feeling grateful Grateful I own a car , a little Honda Fit Bright Yellow and I name *Buttercup. Also I remembered it was Saturday and I was perked up thinking of Susan’s weekly vlog with wee Desi. Now is my bedtime, I hope to go to Church tomorrow and meet my best friend That we only get to see each other occasionally because she is a younger Grandmother, Life continues . We must make the best of it . Susan you are so very gifted and your wonderful kind heart lifts me up when I am down. Blessings to you , your home is spectacular ✍️ Mary Canada 🇨🇦
The memories make our heart smile. I’m 71. I live by myself and have for a few years since my husband of 50 years pasted , but I love being alone I love doing what I want when I want. I am so lucky. Have a wonderful day.
We cherish you as well, Susan. When my best friend passed in 2020, I had such a hole in my heart. So I decided to plant a little garden in her honor. It was so tiny & sweet. It has flourished into an amazing beauty. By honoring her, it keeps her close. Something to ponder in your back yard.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Thank you for lovely Saturday evenings.
Susan, you have no idea how much we cherish you. You always put your heart and soul into your videos and I appreciate that from you. I am not good at being old either. I want to always be young of mind and heart. I want to always have hope and be excited for what tomorrow will bring. Love to you and Desi ❤
Being young you have so much more fun .people may say act your age but being young you are ageless and free to wander in the forests green, and by the sea blue to feel the wind in your hair to stand and stare at all the beautiful flowers growing wild in grass tall,to feel beautiful in your soul you are ageless timeless and real.😊
How I love your videos. You remind me of what’s good in life. To be alive. Been listening for 3yrs now. When first diagnosed with 2 cancers. How I love being reminded of the good things in life you talk about. Today you reminded me with the msg from your friend. To live young. So thank you. Idk how long I’ll last. But everyday I will try to live young. You reminded me. 🥰😍🥰😍
First I want to say that this summer, as a caregiver in a complicated situation.. I have enjoyed my gardening and I have enjoyed finding myself again and taking care of myself. Being a caregiver to someone on Hospice certainly reground’s you and makes you recognize that WE, ourselves are most important and only WE can ensure that we live long enough to live our fullest. Now, I want to say that I totally get the “Good at being young.” My son has a quote he always says that is just so simple yet eternal.. “Live Life.” Whether it be good or bad. Live it. Do not let Life live you just because we age. We do not loose our dreams, our hopes, our joys and our passions. We control all of those things and how deep we bury them as we age.. forgetting them. We would never forget a dear loved one so why would we forget ourselves? Why would we allow ourselves to be packed away and forgotten? So, Yes, I totally “Get” what Max meant and how you feel. I am sorry for your loss. But OH the memories you have!! Cherish those and the Blessing to have had someone so special in your life. I know you do and will! I always watch your videos when I feel I need for a calmness in my day or centered in my life. Thank you for your bright smile, your optimism in a world where that has become a rarity. So my word for you today is this… continue to “Live Life!” as you do!!
I just love you. I look forward to watching you each week. I’m so sorry for your loss, I am sending you healing and prayers 💔❤️🩹🙏 I am 74 years old and live by myself in Kennesaw, GA. My son and 2 grandsons live in MI and my daughter lives in Summerlin outside of Las Vegas. Because I’m pretty much on my own sometimes it’s a little challenging! But every week I feel like I am tuning in to listen to a friend. I live in a nice apartment for seniors, but I’m not allowed to feed the homeless cats and I’m not allowed to feed the birds on my balcony. You give me hope that I too one day soon I can have my own beautiful little home with my own dog. Thank you so much for being you, have a wonderful week
Am good at being young! I still have lots of moments at being young❤....Your w.ords touched my heart...I will be 79 next month. My days of summer😂😂 si hot in beautiful Arizona
I ama widow and live with my fur family. Every evening, weather permitting, I sit on my patio, surrounded by nature, and talk quiety with God. Such joy and serenity in those moments.
I try to notice the smallest beauty around me when I am out walking & I love the quiet moments sitting on my garden bench watching the bees buzz around my lavender & thank God for the beauty of life. Another favourite is to go to the coast which is only an hour away from my home & sit on the beach & just listen to the ebb & flow of the sea with my eyes closed - restorative to the soul. Love seeing you & Desi & your wise words & fun ideas gladden my heart. ❤
Hello Susan... I have been away for a bit and not sure all that has happened. Last time I was here I voted for your dress for the wedding. I know a lot happens when you miss a day, let alone a week!! My sincere condolences for you and your family. I have to say that I loved the quote, " I am only good at being young" OMGoodness... is that ever true and sums right up why sometimes things are difficult for me. But here we are Slaying Aging!! Thank you for sharing your heart. I appreciate you.
🌸🙏🏿🌸Beautiful home, Beautiful video, Beautiful soul 🌸🌸🌸 You are a Blessing Susan, and Desi is too:)... .....We are thankful for y'all, and for all y'all do:)... 🙏🏿😊🙏🏿🌸
The last little bit of this video hit home, I was feeling old and alone. I was feeling guilty about some of my life choices but what you said hit home and made me feel better. Thank you, I look forward to your videos every week.
One of my favorite quotes for aging is “don’t let the old lady in.” I don’t plan to…not ever. I want to be the spunky woman, advanced in age but never “old”…fun and wise in spite of wearing out.
I still have a couple small Pyrex bowls with lids. They were a wedding gift from 1982. The marriage didn’t last but my Pyrex did, and I still use them often! Blessings to you my friend. 💜🙏
Me as well...I cherished my wedding gifts and I meant my vows but my husband never did love me truly...like the song...he was very mean, selfish and narcissistic...finally we parted...
Dear Susan, your smile, your enthusiasm, your love for your beautiful home all make me happy if only for a moment. I am 77 and miss my youth, my optimism, my hopes and dreams. At this stage of my life I say to myself, why bother? Nobody comes to see me. Then I tune in to your weekly videos and find joy and comfort and love watching you, listening to you. Thank you Susan for bringing that to me. ❤️
Oh you are so special...thank you for being my thrifting buddy and sharing a bit of your life with me...I think we can al feel " why bother" and then we snap out of it...and whip up a big batch of BOTHER!!! And there we are.. painting our toenails!!! Love to you! Susan & Desi
You are so inspiring to me at my age of 72. I have wasted too many years and I’m so,glad,I have found your channel. You are so right we go on for the ones that need us. Have a blessed week❤❤❤😊
Susan , I love your videos and the wisdom you share and your encouragement to keep going ❤ It's always uplifting visiting with you n Desi. I love the color of your lipstick 💄. Could you please tell me what brand , color and where I can purchase it. It's so lovely and I'd love to try it 💜 Much appreciation and blessings sent your way ☺️
Deep hurts and memories of losses hits me every August. It's like a gigantic wave crashing against a cliff. Then I remember, I am standing in the sunshine still and I watch that wave recede and be replaced with gratitude. It takes practice to find joy in the little things. God bless you Susan.
Thank you Susan for your words regarding holding onto your passions, hopes and dreams, no matter what age you are. I'm slightly older than you and still feel that flame of inspiration and creativity I felt at 20. I'm about to take up art again and learn to sew my favorite fashions. Life still provides glorious moments and triumps. Your flare for decorating is marvelous! I lean toward eclectic and you have carried that off so well. It brings such interest to a room as it takes on the character of the home owner. So I say, " Put your 💖 heart and 🌺 stamp on life! " ~ Diane
I turned 70 in April many people who don’t know me think I’m 50. I also don’t have time to be old. I walk5 miles at a fast pace 6 days a week. When I walk I always feel so grateful that I can do this . I also dress sassy and I love it . I love watching your videos , thanks for sharing your inner thoughts 😊❤️
Hello from Sweden! 🇸🇪🇸🇪 You asked us about favorite Summer Doings... I have plenty, but one thing I really love to do, beeing good at beeing young, is to lay down in the hammock "hiding from the world" under the cherry tree and fanasize about many things....or lay in the grass watching the clouds drift by and think about what they look like An angel? A Horse? etc etc.... Another (secret) favorite of mine is to jump in puddles of water after a Warm and Silent Summer Rain... I love that and that keeps my heart young even if I am soon to be 59!!!! Have a really good Sunday everyone! 🇸🇪🇸🇪👍🏻💖🙂🌱🤗🇸🇪
After being outbid for two years, I’m finally a home owner in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I move in one week and can’t wait to hit all the thrift stores. I just love the flower bowl you purchased! It’s gorgeous. I also love the Weller pottery, it’s beautiful. Thank you for giving us great ideas. God bless you!
I wish I could have atleast one member of my family with spirit like yours. You come into a room an just make everything magical. I adore your videos and always come here because I am looking for this warm cosy feeling that I miss. I think that you arranged your house absolutely beautiful, every detail is on right place. Have a very nice Sunday ❤
I love thrift and resale shops, but in the past few years, I downsized and decluttered into a one room studio. I have embraced my minimalist lifestyle. When I consider buying anything now, I ask myself: Do I need it, where will I put it, will I really, really use it/wear it? Yes, I still occasionally buy something I want but don’t need and I better be sure I have a place for it. LOL. Enjoy your treasured things Susan! Thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy your videos, Susan. I love seeing sweet Desi happily playing in his yard, and your home is more beautiful each time I see it. God’s blessings, Susan!
My grandsons are my Joy! So glad we had our third child that brought us these little Joy's! They jump up and shout my name when they see me. The hugs and kisses are heavenly.
I totally understand what Max meant--I may be getting older age-wise, but I still love to laugh and have fun, learn new things, and explore old things. And yes, to be silly sometimes and have a ball! I am living my best life! I'm 73 and I feel like I've just begun to live. I love your channel and look forward to seeing you and Desi every week!
Susan, my husband of 38 years and I love watching your videos. You are such a sincere, loving and gracious lady despite all the hard happenings in your life. Thank you.
You are a blessing to us, Susan. I always feel so much better after watching your videos. Sorry to hear about your friend Jan. What a holy grail find on the Weller piece!!
I’m good at leaps of faith. I sought passions in my youth, sometimes it worked out, sometimes not what I had expectations of, and hard. I took a jump off that cliff 8 years ago, and boy did I land hard. Very very hard. But you know what? I didn’t let that stop me, from taking another risk, a leap of faith, a jump off a cliff, and I just landed in a place of all my dreams, a place that is perfect for me. I’m pushing 70, MS, and people thought the risk was too great at my age. But those were the people, that put thier heads down when they walk, never seeing the sky. I looked up, and jumped into the wild unknown. I’m good at being young. 🙏💜
Yes, yes, yes, to continue to being good at being young ❣️. It means the same to me, the passion, learning new things, living large!!! Thank you for sharing how you feel and think as we are age 69, and for me age 70, I thought I was alone in feeling young spirit! I thank you and love you too 🤍
Dear Susan, you are so generous and brave in making this beautiful video despite your broken heart. I'm so sorry you've had such a loss. I wish I had the perfect words to comfort you. 😞Please know I'm thinking of you and I am sending you a tight hug. 🙏💗
Hi Susan 💐 I can't help but think the two little benches were made by a very loving grandpa for his grandkids.. that makes them extra special. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your loved one; my condolences. ❤ God now holds her in the palm of His hand...⚘❣⚘
Sue I’m a fellow homebody and collector, you have beautiful taste. My home is filled with at least a thousand books, plants need other plants to hang out with, paintings add depth and warmth and lamps add a warm glow. I can’t go past a Tiffany lamp because all the colors dance together. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent ❤
@@LittlePoet I would LOVE LOVE to thrift with you!!! But a few years ago I moved to Sydney. You have a standing invitation to come stay with me. 🤗 itm I watch you create cozy beauty and write to you. ☘️🌾🪻🪻🪻🎍☘️ enjoy your hydrangeas 🌺
I love pottery too! I cannot believe the steal you got on the beautiful Weller piece, yes it was meant for you to find. Susan, I have thrifted since my 20’s and I would pick up little wooden homemade stools or chairs. As my grandkids came along they would sit in them and when two of them got older and had homes of their own they asked if they could have them. I was so happy to oblige. Now I have a great grandson by one of them and she sends me pictures of him sitting in a lovely little red homemade chair with a high back that has a heart carved in it. So that piece I bought many years ago for my 25 yr old granddaughter to sit in I am now watching my little great grandson sit in it! My heart swells with the love and memories of that little red chair. Everything is so beautiful and welcoming in your home, absolutely lovely! ❤
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and sister in law Jan.I guess I didn't catch in last weeks video that she had passed. It's hard when we loose loved ones, and it seems like the older we get the more loved ones we loose. And wish if there was just one day we could spend with them again. This is why I cherish every moment that my children and grandchildren come to visit me. You never know if that's the last time. I love your quote " I'm only good at being young". I will be turning 71 in the fall and I don't feel that much older, ( maybe in my bones, but not my attitude). I still enjoy life, working out in my yard, thrifting, reading and spending time with loved ones. I know people younger than me that are already planning their funerals. Not me, I want to live my life to the fullest. thank you for your wonderful and heartfelt video's. I look forward to them every weekend.
I’m not good at living a defeated life, but I am good at rebuilding the best and happiest life ever as I have moved forward. ❤ and appreciate you Susan.❤️😘
You have made your cute little house into a BEAUTIFUL HOME....I would love to sit in your garden room and sip a cup of tea with you looking into your sweet garden...your smile is infectious ☺️😊❤️
My young days of Summer were spent riding horses bareback, wearing cut off jean shorts and flip flops through fields and the forest paths we had worn. What a wonderful life!
This video was so valuable in so many ways. I’m downsizing and moving soon. I’m trying to figure out what to take and what to leave. I was getting myself more confused by the minute. After watching this, a realization came to me. I’ll keep only the things that I made a conscious decision to choose. And I’ll let go of the things that I merely “ended up with”.
Your new home is really cute....❤ I just said that to my Audra..a woman now, that I mentored as a child.. I don't know how to do old..I don't..I am 71, I still do everything I always have...I am very blessed, and will keep living my blessing...❤
Susan, love your videos. I am soon to be 73 and i still love jumping in rain puddles! We are only as old as we feel!? Life is fleeting, our lives but a mist. Have fun while we still can! Love you and enjoy Desi so much!
I lost my best friend Laura in February of 2022. She was 58 years old and so funny. She brought me out of my shell when I was in my early twenties. It was heart breaking and I have a lot of fun, funny fond memories of the times we had that no one can take away from me. I cherish each and every moment we shared for 36 years. I have a big smile on my face when I think of the fun we had together. Life moves fast. Enjoy every moment of every day!!
I cherish you and love every moment you can share with us. I am about to be a young 82 and intend to enjoy every moment as long as I have left. I have a test coming up which may or may not decide how long this cherish moment I have left, until then I will go on praying and serving my Lord and make every moment count. Thanks for your joy you bring my life! Always, JoAnn
I commend you and your family to bring you up to be good at being young. Me, I was born old, listened to my elders and if I had one thing to change in my past, I would have NEVER listened to my parents and their advise. I wasn't good at being young, so now, I am trying it out. Bess your heart.❤❤❤
Dear Susan, when I watch your videos, I laugh, I cry, I gasp, and I si. And I ,,( Feel). I have been trying to recover, so alot I shut down, so I don't have to feel. Thank you for making me feel Alive, Feeling
I am happier, healthier, more stylish and productive in my latter seventies than l have ever been. I have seen generations come and go and made the most of all of these transitions. The future is bright.
I cannot express how much your video touched my heart this am. You have such love and artistry in your heart, what special gifts. I am turning 65 this year, retiring in December, and just lost my Mom April 1st. So many emotions and regretful memories. I am choosing to be grateful, happy, and a good person. Bless you and your viewers for their beautiful comments of wisdom:)
Just watched your latest and the first thought in my mind at your proper thanks ending was, "You're a winner, girlfriend! ". Being good at young is way better than being good at old as I reach my 78th year. I will try very hard to keep that in the front of my brain as I tackle my life one day at a time.❤
I so enjoy your visits with us - I too think of living young- if one closes there eyes and ask themselves how old am I , I think 25! I’m 83 of real time but I have all the enthusiasm of a25 yr. old. It gives you a zest for life and use each day to the fullest. Here’s to “For ever Young. Keep up your wonderful sharing with us all.💕🤸🏻♂️🤸🏻♂️
I'm sorry that you lost your best friend. You were so blessed to have had such a long friendship. I'm sure it will be so difficult to speak about. You are loved by so many and you will be covered by so many prayers. God bless you during this difficult season. Your home is so beautiful.
Boy I can relate to that quote. I was good at being young, I don't know how to be old. I hate that my body is letting me down even though I'm trying to keep up.😢 What's that other quote, youth is wasted on the young or something like that 😊. However I'm blessed with each day God gives me & I'll go down fighting.😁 Loved your message today ❤❤
We love to go down by the river and listen to music during the summer. Usually classic rock, it makes me happy to remember where I was, when I first listened and where I am now. I'm grateful for my life, in all its imperfections. 😊
I love kayaking in the quiet waters near my home. I take my time and enjoy all the large rock formations, plants, and birdlife that I paddle by... Nature is truly a gift!
I love the quote..."I go to the garden to lose my mind and find my soul." I love to garden...flowers or veggies...it doesn't matter. Just to "piddle" with the beauty that God has given me for caretaking is enough. Your here, in this place, at this time, to bring joy to others. Thank you for sharing your heart.
Thank you for the comments about being young. I continue to be excited about learning, about tomorrow and even about what’s on the other side. let’s agree to stay this way. Love you so much.
Susan I so so enjoy your videos and you are so inspiring. I look forward to every new post. I am 64 years young and will hopefully stay young at heart as long as I’m on this earth. You will never look your age because of your beautiful young soul……Lisa 💓🤗
@@LittlePoet yes tears are flowing as I type all this and still processing. Out support groups were/are our life lines. 💔🙏
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during your loss. I, too, am of Mullins descent (grandmother) and was raised in Dickenson Co., VA., about an hour from Kingsport. My husband and I also raised my granddaughter, who is now 22. May God bless and comfort 💕
I am so deeply sorry for your loss…. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and all the treasurers you’ve collected. Such a warm and cozy home. ❤
Live just down the road a bit from you in Jefferson County. Very sorry for your loss. Prayers lifted 🙏
RE: your Weller Pottery basket/bowl, your friend is so right: you were meant to bring it to your home. So many simply view these as "things" to occupy a space; but you see how these items bring beauty and joy into your home. I also love the fact that you embrace color; and lots of it! 🌺

You are so kind...thank you so much for being here...xxoo Susan & Desi
Aging is inevitable, being old is a choice❣️ I found your video just in time since my BFF is coming to spend my 80th birthday with me and we can’t wait to go ‘thrifting’ again like we did years ago! It’s winter now but we will walk down memory lane with a summer vibe and the joy of being together! You have such a beautiful spirit - thank you for sharing your thrift store finds and your lovely home! 🥰🐅

I'll never understand why some people come to a UA-cam channel knowing the content and then get offended by something in it and just dump all over the light it brings. There's enough negativity in the world as it is. Leave your grumpiness at home, please. We like the beauty this channel brings.
Some of us are young until die! The body is only borrowed!💗
I think you are such a beautiful person on the outside and the inside. Always stay sweet.
Thank you both!🌿🦢🪻🌴🌻🌴🌷🦢🌿
I'm where you are, and it's such a peaceful place to be. ❤
I’m right there with you also. It is the place to be. The place that “we have been searching for”. We have found what we have been dreaming about and searching for!!!!❤
I am turning 65 in December- you are so correct!!!
It’s a wonderful age.
My son loves to ask me if I still have certain items from his childhood. He loves to talk about things he remembers. 💙
If I were visiting I would spend all my time in your gorgeous sun room. It’s so tranquil. I can see why the want that backyard fence. ❤✌️
Oh thank you!!!
Oh I just love it! I will right that down for sure right on my fridge....it goes. Tks.
Today was a down day for me at age 80yrs , not feeling great ,
Was a bit in the dumps. I am an avid reader yet Not anything I
Thought to do seemed to work. I really wanted to go out and
Visit a lovely garden Center, yet I just lay in bed feeling I was
Getting to the end of my time in life . I am a cancer survivor
And it scared me to think of what is affecting my low energy
Gradually I recovered by looking at my home and feeling grateful
Grateful I own a car , a little Honda Fit Bright Yellow and I name *Buttercup.
Also I remembered it was Saturday and I was perked up thinking of
Susan’s weekly vlog with wee Desi.
Now is my bedtime, I hope to go to Church tomorrow and meet my best friend
That we only get to see each other occasionally because she is a younger Grandmother,
Life continues . We must make the best of it .
Susan you are so very gifted and your wonderful kind heart lifts me up when I am down.
Blessings to you , your home is spectacular ✍️
Mary Canada 🇨🇦
Bless her. I know exactly what she meant.
My mother will be 89 in a few weeks - I tell her she is the oldest teenager I know! Such a kid at heart - just full of joy!❤
So glad you share your grief and positive attitudes on living.
The memories make our heart smile. I’m 71. I live by myself and have for a few years since my husband of 50 years pasted , but I love being alone I love doing what I want when I want. I am so lucky. Have a wonderful day.
I truly love your videos they’re always so thought provoking. Thank you for bringing us in your home and speaking from your heart. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
I have an aunt who is 103 , she has always said, keep on getting with it ,her meaning live, be busy, look forward to everything❤
Hey Susan the photo of the lady and the pig, are from the book “Charlotte’s Web”. The is Wilbur and the lady is Fern’s aunt.
The illustrations for Charlotte's Web were drawn by Garth Williams, I believe. Such s wonderful and meaningful story for ALL ages. 😊
Susan, you have no idea how much we cherish you. You always put your heart and soul into your videos and I appreciate that from you. I am not good at being old either. I want to always be young of mind and heart. I want to always have hope and be excited for what tomorrow will bring.
Love to you and Desi ❤

Amen. Well said. I am the same going on 67 💕
Being young you have so much more fun .people may say act your age but being young you are ageless and free to wander in the forests green, and by the sea blue to feel the wind in your hair to stand and stare at all the beautiful flowers growing wild in grass tall,to feel beautiful in your soul you are ageless timeless and real.😊
So beautifully said 💗
How I love your videos.
Now, I want to say that I totally get the “Good at being young.”
My son has a quote he always says that is just so simple yet eternal..
I’m so sorry for your loss, I am sending you healing and prayers 💔❤️🩹🙏
I am 74 years old and live by myself in Kennesaw, GA.
Your words of choice on each of your vlogs are very special and paint a picture worthy of the most beautiful frame ❤
Thank you so much 😊
Hello Susan...
🌸🙏🏿🌸Beautiful home, Beautiful video, Beautiful soul
🌸🌸🌸
You are a Blessing Susan, and Desi is too:)... .....We are thankful for y'all,
and for all y'all do:)...
🙏🏿😊🙏🏿🌸
Stay good at being young I am 80 and llove life and enjoying every moment! Thank you for the inspiration and beauty you bring with you 💖
The last little bit of this video hit home, I was feeling old and alone.
I love it
Oh! Love that quote! I will try to remember it when I'm starting to feel old! Thank you!
love that saying!\
Same.Young at heart!
You know, I cry almost every time I watch your videos. Not because I’m sad but because you always strike a memory or you speak to me. Thank you!
thank you so much for being here...xxoo Have a great new week..Susan & Desi
I really like Max’s quote. I get it. ❤
I just can't even get over how precious Desi is, such a sweet sweet soul.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I still have a couple small Pyrex bowls with lids. They were a wedding gift from 1982.
The marriage didn’t last but my Pyrex did, and I still use them often!
Blessings to you my friend. 💜🙏
Mine, too! Ditto!😂
Me three!
I think fans of Pyrex should unite!
Me four 👋
You make me so happy! I feel good when I watch and listen to you. You are the sweetest person. Thank you for being you.
You are so kind
So beautifully expressed. Blessings to you too 😊
Thank you for another week Susie.
“We go on for the ones that need us”.
Absolutely.
Absolutely!! Love to you my friend!!!
I just love seeing Desi enjoying his yard!!!
Oh Desi loves his yard so much!!! Thank you for caring about him!
You asked us about favorite Summer Doings...
You are so kind...you sure know how ot make a gal feel good!!! Have a great weekend!!! xxoo Susan & Desi
"We go on for the ones that need us"= so true! Thank you for another beautiful week of you and Desi living your best life!
You are so inspirational! I have noticed that Desi has perked up to a whole other level since you moved. I love that!
I always enjoy your videos, Susan. I love seeing sweet Desi happily playing in his yard, and your home is more beautiful each time I see it. God’s blessings, Susan!
Your videos are just so good. Beautiful video skills, great music and really good thoughts.
"I am good at being young".❤ Well said my friend Susan. Forever young, 68 and counting.
yes!!!!
Susan, you have the most amazing thrift shops where you live! Here in So California they are mostly just junk.
Your videos are becoming more and more heartfelt. Interesting and lovely. Thank you for talking to us.
What a beautiful thing to say to me...thank you so much!
I think you are right...!
You are so kind...thank you so much for being here....happy weekend to you, Susan & Desi

Happy hunting Sue 🍃🌷🌷🍀

I would LOVE LOVE to thrift with you!!!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Jesus loves you ❣️ ❤️ 💖 💕 💗 💓 ❣️
Jesus died to save you. The most important thing in this world is to know him. I’m sorry for your loss.
Continuing to pray for you, dear Susan. Thank you for being you !!!!!
Wow, that is perfection!!!! And if you let that be your guide I know you will truly love your new home!!!! ( Sort of like people too)!!!
Yes and people too! Ain’t it the truth!!@@LittlePoet
I'm 87 years and don't remember ever say I'm to old.
Your new home is really cute....❤
I just said that to my Audra..a woman now, that I mentored as a child..
To me “I’m only good at being young “ means always being hopeful and curious and keeping the childlike spirit alive until the very end 🧸
Oh hello my sweet friend! I have to go over to your channel!
At 77 I am a MARVELOUS 20 year old!!!
Paulaparkinson 9667 .What a wonderful outlook !! Wow I'm going to try and follow your lead ❤
I agree with you. I am only good at being “young”. Young at heart. To never lose the child like wonder about life. Find the good in each day.🌸🌸🌸🦋🦋🦋
I love working in my garden…and I love being young if it’s the Lords Will at 75 years old, im going to Paris!! 🥰👵🏽🙏🏾
You have the best thrift shops! Wonderful treasures!
I love the old glasses and plates ,but now we know so much of that beauty was toxic to eat drink cook with. Love your beautiful new home God bless
You and I think alike when it comes to decor. I don't know how to be old either. I cherish you.
