It felt so good!!! It didn't start out that way!!!! I was thinking of ways I could get that sculpture out of her cart!!! But then...I saw the faces of those children....xxoo love to you...always, Susan & Desi
I love the way you helped this young woman. Overstepping the boundaries, I was about to suggest that you could sell the sculpture for her and give her the money. I'm so happy that her mom knows how to sell on Ebay! I love you and Desi!
That woman probably said to her mother, " I can't believe I was in the right place at the right time. There was a woman in the store who knew how much this was worth, and was nice enough to tell me."
That woman’s children will remember what you did for the rest of their lives and they may tell their children and that way you have taught them a valuable life-lesson and your memory and what you did for them will be immortal.❤️
Maybe that message from Shoeless Joe is “if you build it they will come”. You built a lovey home this year. Your son came, your grandchildren come, your friends come and we come to your home every Saturday night.😊 Ps love the bedroom. So beautiful.
Susan your beautiful lavender bedroom says spring summer to me ...you can still paint your wood trim green....you have green all your quilts❤️ I love your burgundy green for winter ❤maybe with a green or burgundy sheer curtain s just for winter....🤔 I change my cheers I have curtains like you do in your bedroom.. end my comforters with each season... I love the variety... Also my bathroom decor and shower curtain.... And living room throws and pillows with the season.. it just freshens everything up😊 But what happened to the lovely quilt you got when you moved into your new home... It was shades of yellow and green ,you had just gotten yellow sheets to go with it it was so lovely ,, ....,???
Why in the world would you think I use filters? What kind of filters??? You can see all of my 68 years in my face here...my acne scars and my red spots...are you kidding? If I am using a filter its a really horrible one. Why would you think this?
I think the msg from Shoeless Joe is this: Know thyself & to thy ownself BE TRUE. Seeker of Truth. Embrace what is your TRUE, AUTHENTIC SELF. ❤ You give that to us every week, Susan.😊
I think the Rain Catcher was maybe holding a glass tube to catch the rain and measure how much fell. Possibly? You always make the nicest videos with your sweet soft voice and the beauty that is you. You always make me smile!
If you had gotten that sculpture, it would have reminded you each and every time you looked at it that it should not be yours. You are an honorable woman with a boatload of class! ❤
Once again, as always, I love your videos. I can’t even begin to tell you of all the parallels our lives share! It so fun for me. Last night when you were sharing the colors of your new bedroom colors, I knew you were going to say your color choice was lavender! Of course, mine is too! Then the blue willow dishes!! My mother’s favorite. Every meal of my childhood was eaten on blue willow. My pup Betty and I never miss a video. Thank your for comforting, supporting, encouraging, and teaching us all so many valuable lessons.
You are a shining example of the old, saying “bloom, where you’re planted “as every time you decide to step out your front door, you bring back stories that nourish our souls!!
Susan, I am sooo proud of you for telling the young mother that she had a valuable gem in her cart and God is very proud of you too. Your story about the wall sculpture really touched my heart. I live in Florida and we don’t have a fall. I am originally from up north and I really miss the leaves turning colors… especially the red sugar maple leaves. LOVE TO YOU AND DESI!❤
That was so sweet what you did for that woman with the 3 kids! That probably taught her children a priceless lesson as they hear that story over and over. I’m sure that it will not be forgotten.
Dearest Susan, I must admit as you began your story about the young mother in the thrift store, I was disappointed as you were rationalizing your thoughts. But as you finished your story I was cheering you on with tears in my eyes. There is so much wrong in the world right now, and so many horrible things that people are doing to each other, but you literally restored my faith in humanity for the moment, and this quote popped into my mind, "So shines a good deed in a weary world". Love you tons!
This will be my second comment to you as my first was voting on your pretty dresses a couple of months ago. :) I just love your curtains and everything you've done in your bedroom! I so love romantic and traditional stuff like that, too. I am so excited or Fall!🍁Christmas is my favorite holiday, but Fall is my favorite season. Snuggly jackets, fireplaces, getting dark early, love it all! :) Your thrift store adventure was so interesting, so proud of you, yet I wish you could also have gotten that lovely decoration for yourself if somehow that was possible. Maybe there is another waiting for you, sweet friend! You are such a lovely and wonderful person. I wish you and precious Desi a wonderful week! 🥰
When you started that story about the woman in the thrift store I just knew you would tell her what she had. That feeling of knowing you made a difference is priceless.
Perhaps you were only *meant to pass on the message from Shoeless Joe* to those of us who desperately needed to hear it. I’ve never heard of the story and to hear these words today brought tears to my eyes. I once had a blessed life and lost it all due to multiple serial losses (laid off from 25 year job, divorce, burglary, house fire, etc.) and now poor and alone. I’m thankful for all the lessons and growth from going through hardship but it’s been hard to rebuild my life at an older age…I constantly must find the strength to fight for my dignity, happiness, and prosperity. I’m grateful to have found such a great treasure as you LittlePoet on YT…thank you. 🙏🏼💙
Thanks so much...and it warms my heart to no end that you understood the message of SHoeless Joe....of having it all...and losing it...and then the regrets...not about the money or fame...but just our own self worth... that's how I felt when I lost everything...I felt broken. But I knew I had a choice...did you feel like that? I can be broken forever....ok...or I can find some path out of the hell I found myself in and make my life count...brand new me..brand new life...I don't have any answers...just questions really...but the older I get the more I care about what I leave behind...not belongings or money but my deeds....I wonder if Joe felt like that? He did a lot of charity work before he died at 62. I hope your new week is going great! Love to you and yours always, Susan & Desi
@@LittlePoet Oh, I didn't know about your background and I just watched your Rebuild Your Life video…so inspiring. I'm here in my tiny place desperately trying to get through my to-do list but so terribly exhausted. For me the key is to forgive myself (of mistakes, bad decisions, not protecting myself against losses), and to gain self-worth again to get to the point where I can have peace of mind to be able to serve others. You're doing a wonderful service LittlePoet authentically inspiring many of us older women who feel invisible and aren't valued in our society today…many blessings to you!
I have to say, you are doing a lovely job at creating your cozy nest for you and your little lovebird Desi!!! He simply loves you to bits!!! I hope that this beautiful home is warm in the winter as well!!! We love you and Sweet Desi...keep them coming as I cannot get enough of your fabulous channel!!!
Well, today marks the autumn equinox and tomorrow is my 73rd birthday. I preferred 53, but 33 was not a good year. The days pass, the years. Do I have some maladies? A few. But I'm just so grateful to be here, thinking and feeling and yearning.
God will bless you for your kindness to that young woman. Our world would be a much better place if we were all just a little kinder to others.❤ Love you & Desi
Oh Susan, that’s why we love you because you have such a sweet, honest heart. I know you wouldn’t have enjoyed seeing them in your home because you would have seen those little children and their mom.♥️
Hi Susan, those cups and plates are a real memory for me, is because my mom had the whole set, l just cry when I see that set, my mom and me loved those sets, enjoy your set, great memories always bring us back when we were younger, l also love Baseball, l played baseball for years, l love the sport, l hope you and Desi are doing well, hugsssss ❤❤❤
Susan I was a pre-school teacher for many years. I live in New Zealand. One of the songs I used to sing with the children was. Aroha (the Maori word for love) is loving if you give it away, give it away, give it away. Aroha is loving if you give it away, it comes right back to you. It's just like a magic penny, hold on tight and you won't have any. Lend it, spend it, give it away, and it comes right back to you. This being the case, I expect you won't have enough walls to put all the Lee treasures on you will find in the future. What a beautiful woman you are, like the princess your grand-daughter longs to be, living in the beautiful castle decorated by treasures old and new. Good things come in little dwellings as well, even if they are only brick and sand castles. It's what dwells within that counts. Aroha Christine.
You gave that woman a gift! It wasn't just telling her that it had value, but now she has knowledge! I love your home and the bedroom is beautiful! I love Lavender in my house!
You did the right thing. That is always the most important. You have already received a reward and that is peace within yourself. You have to love yourself first so you can give to others. If you would have gotten that piece and hung it on the wall you would have brought negativity into your home influencing you and your sweet pup. When I watch your videos you come into my home and it is a good thing.
I worked all week taking care of my lady with Dementia as her kids went to Italy so I worked Sunday to Saturday. I am partial to Dementia patients as my mother passed away from complications from Dementia.. Anyway, your bedroom sounds delightful and I think you made a good choice changing to lavender for sleeping. I love old things but I have so much from my mother and grandmother I can't possibly buy anymore. My kids can all furnish their houses with the amount of things that were left to me. I still haven't unpacked my garage and I received it in 2019!!!! There are glass pieces and sterling. I just hope that there's no mice setting up shop. Your home looks so charming and cozy. You are doing a spectacular job decorating! Thank you for showing us! I have collectors castles that I wish I lived closer, I'd give them to you. Have a beautiful week, you and Desi! He's a star! Oct 11th is one year since my boy left us and crossed the rainbow bridge. Fortunately, we got a Cavapoo or Cavadoodle to play with my daughter's Golden doodle and they are such good friends plus I have my old dogs mate, a Maltese Shitzu who is 11 and she's warming up to the puppy. Actually, she's in charge and scares Layla! Enough rambling. You are such a sweetheart. ❤ That was so kind of you to tell that woman about that piece. You have integrity which is greatly lacking in today's world. Your stories are always inspiring.
I think the things you got for the bedroom are really pretty. You made me laugh tonight, which is much needed. When you said you were going to write a book entitled "I'm Fat and I Don't Care" I roared with laughter!!! Thanks for everything you do, Susan.
Susan, I love your bedroom, it's so warm and inviting. The curtains are perfect, sheers are wonderful. I tried to see but couldn't tell of you have any privacy blinds for the evenings when you're in the room with lights on????
What a lovely video, Susan. What a different world this would be if everyone would stop and think about others as you did. Even better, you now have all of us on the lookout for Jere for YOU! Blessings and gratitude to you and that cute little guy you live with.
It’s 9:12 at night and the temperature is still 90. It won’t be Fall here for a long time. But it’s always good to spend time with you and Desi. Two of Gods greatest creations, that who you are. It’s not treasure we build here on earth but that in Heaven that counts. You gave that young mom a true treasure. Love you Susan and Desi 💕
What a blessing to be given the opportunity to do the right thing! I know your heart is filled with gratitude to have been the one who explained the worth of that wall sculpture to that young mother.
I celebrate my mother, she just passed. At 95 years old she deserves to rest and live on forever with Jesus. I enjoy your videos and loved how you decorated your bedroom. You are a great inspiration. Thank you!❤️
Goodness is about character, integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people. Awesome choice! Love your bedroom, it's feels peaceful and comfortably. I live in Florida so we don't have to much change from summer to fall, but I love the colors of fall and the change of weather. 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
I have started taking down my summer decor and decorating for fall. After sitting at home for 2 years staring at the same stuff every day I felt stuck. Now I change things up a little bit for the season and I feel like my life is moving forward again. It makes me feel alive and optimistic about the future.
This Great-Grandmother almost unsubscribed but I calmed down and waited for You to finish speaking, I then began to cry. You are so VERY genuine, so VERY Lovely. Thank You, You're a Spirit-Lifter. Loving Your hydrangeas. Take care and Thank You once again. Happy Fall. 🍁💗🍂
I have been thrifting my whole life and have yet to encounter such fabulous abundance as you have both in your old city and in your new one. Of course, your ability to seek and acquire and place in your home is second to none! 👍🏼♥️🇨🇦
🕊🍂🍁🙏🏿 It is truly a joy to see you apply the beauty in your heart toward the lovely home you are creating:)... You decorate with love, kindness, whimsy, grace, and care:)... Beautiful decorations for a beautiful home, from a beautiful heart:)... Great video Susan:) 🍁🙏🏿🕊🍂😊
This week’s post was incredibly special, Susan. Our dignity, like our integrity, is what we make it and it is our responsibility to maintain both. I think your lesson from Shoeless Joe is just that. No matter what happens hold your head high and move forward with integrity and dignity!
I just loved the last week… I was in Pune in my new little flat, finished decorating, returned home to Mumbai and performed some religious festival, Lord Ganesha’s birthday, and went back again. My husband saw the final decor for the first time and two of our friends too, and they were so full of praise and wonder at the lovely decor which I wish I could share with you! Except for two or three things ( okay ten, counting the lights and lamps) I haven’t bought new decor : I just shopped from my home but it looks so organic, as if it was always there! I am happy Susan, I have my own home which I paid for and decorated to my heart’s desire, something I wanted to do since childhood!
You have a priceless gift of taking something that some would find ordinary, and making it feel extraordinary, Susan. Your retelling of the story of the Shoeless Joe and Ty Cobb meeting was told with the compassion you have for Joe. Perhaps you were meant to find that baseball card, so that you could tell the story in your own way, to honor him.
You are so kind ot say this about Shoeless Joe....I so hope you are right...I have always searched for the meaning of why I care about a baseball player that lived before I was born
The ripple effects of your honesty is so huge! We may not realize it in the moment. If you had acted differently, think of what it would have done to your heart seeing her car. It was a gift to her but I believe an even bigger gift to you. I hope many are touched by your example. I know I am! You made a positive difference in the world! God bless you, Susan! Absolutely love your new bedroom! Thanks for sharing!
I love it when you have shows where you shop at the thrift stores. Well, going from summer to fall is for me a fun time. I like redecorating for the season or buying a new fall shirt. Here in Seattle, the change happens quickly. The leaves are changing, the heater is kicking on in the night... right now, it's raining. I embrace it. Now winter, that's another subject.
Dear Susan, God has blessed you with so many pretty things in your home that even if you loved the sculpture it would have no value and the beauty would have pale compared to your sincere honesty and kindness. Trust me you are going to find something even better and grander than that sculpture and your will be so overjoyed. Promise when you find that special piece that sparks ⚡️ joy you will show and share how it makes you feel. It’s coming and truly can’t wait to see it. ✨💫
What a wonderful story about Shoeless Joe Jackson. Your home is so inviting and beautiful!. You did a wonderful thing for that woman in the thrift store.
what sweet story you sharing about the lady at Goodwill. I sure you made her day but you know what I think you made a better day. Things come and go but putting others before yourself makes on feel good bless for all things in your life.
Susan, I watched this lovely video a couple of weeks ago from my bed at the end of the day and didn't have a chance to leave a comment at the time, so I really wanted to make sure I did that now. You absolutely did the right thing regarding that young mother in the thrift store! What you "lost" in an object gave you so much more on a human level; a heart filled with joy that another person who needed a break got one because of your honesty, kindness, empathy and integrity--WOW, that is hitting the Jackpot!! I am proud to have you as my UA-cam friend! ♥♥♥🥰
Karma will smile on you Susan for showing such kindness and integrity to the lady with the children in the thrift store. What you did is more priceless than any beautiful piece of art.
What a great story about the woman in the thrift store. You taught all of us a good lesson. Your bedroom is absolutely beautiful and so cozy. --We love you and Desi. ❤️❤
Loved every minute Susie!!! No doubt you and Desi, are so comfy in your beautiful bedroom. Love everything about your room. Blue Willow China like you, is timeless. Nothing like a friend with integrity. Love to you, and The Dez...Mimi
Bless you, Susan, you have such a good heart! That piece of art will end up where it is supposed to be. I find comfort believing that to be true. You did the right thing. Thanks for this special video this week. I love your beautifully romantic bedroom, I especially love the curtains. 💞
Thank you Susan.. you keep outdoing yourself.. what a gift from God! I love in the very beginning where your little grandchild is trying to put the flower petals in the camera and you encourage her.. then she asks "Do you think it will work"? 🤷♀️ Flowers Always Work🌹🌷🌻⚘🌺 Thank you also for the Shoeless Joe Jackson story.. the pretty lilac bedroom tour.. and the woman and her 3 little ones at the thrift store too buying a gift for grandma... SO much Inspiration, Love and Dignity here 🙏💕🕊 May God bless you and everyone on your Little Poet channel 🥰
YOU are gorgeous! 🤍 LOVE your bedroom and entry mirror!! LOVE, most of all, you being so kind to that young mother!! God bless you, Susan!! And Desi, too!! 🤍🤍
Maybe the lesson of Joe Jackson is that a person who looks like they have fallen from what society considers high places might actually find peace and joy in a quiet simple life. He might not have been “broken”. He might just be humble and content. Love your bedroom!
There is more value in the decision you made concerning the sculpture than any enjoyment you could ever receive if it were hanging in your home. The neatest part is that as time went on at the store you were able to see more of the woman's situation and know more fully the joy to be had when we do the right things. We can never go wrong when what we "collect" and give is honesty, compassion and love. It is what Jesus did.
You put a smile on my face and took me back many years. I wallpapered our main bath with a lilac floral print. It’s important for our bedrooms to be comfy and special! Enjoy…. I loved it.
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate your integrity and empathy for the young single Mom!! I just turned 65 this month. I brought myself new sheets and pillows! I have been looking for a new comforter for a few years! The one you picked just might have the right amount of purple to go well in my bedroom! It's very pretty!! And that little fireplace! I am tempted and may really splurge!
Susan you are the most beautiful soul and you are just resplendent in white! Earlier today I watched an older video when you were still in that first little apartment. I rejoiced at how far the goodness of God and how far He has brought you… from a little 500 sq ft apartment to this DARLING HOME you are creating for yourself and Desi❣️ We need to live in a place for a bit and allow it to speak to us in order to get it just right. People often try to do too much too soon (and end up dissatisfied with the result). RESONANCE is the signature of authenticity!!! Your lavender bedroom is so YOU and so GORGEOUS! You sowed an important seed by telling that young mom about what she had in her cart. No doubt it will yield a harvest for you that will be exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond anything you can imagine… just you wait and see❣️ Much love from Texas 😘❤️
I just turned 65 and Oct.12 I am retiring.I am scared excited, never not worked since16 ,this is were I need to be brave and get busy enjoying my life trying new things,Oct. 12 is my mother’s heavenly birthday. She is still giving me blessings ❤❤ single and brave ❤❤
Good on you for helping that young mother perhaps make a bit of money. Honesty is always the best policy. I love your bedroom redo; it's very serene and cozy. It always brings me joy to see Desi bounding across the back yard, and it's absolutely adorable when he snoozes on the couch behind you!
How wonderful that you let that young mother purchase what you had been looking for for so long. It will come along for you and it will be yours. I know the feeling that you felt in your heart when you told her about the piece of art that you wanted so bad. Just keep looking and it will be there. Have a wonderful week. You deserve it. Love to you and Desi.🧡🌿
OMG your Bedroom looks gorgeous and whoever is cutting your hair cuts beautifully your hair looks great! What you did for that young Mother was great because she had no idea the worth of what she had in her basket but GOD put you both there at the same time so you could reach out to her and let her know I hope she sells it and buy's some things that she may need....
I so agree and God’s Son has said, there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving. Susan’s feelings of happiness afterwards is the reward!
You showed integrity. But you also gave that woman, and her mom, a $1,000 gift. Thank you!
It felt so good!!! It didn't start out that way!!!! I was thinking of ways I could get that sculpture out of her cart!!! But then...I saw the faces of those children....xxoo love to you...always, Susan & Desi

I love the lavender bedroom. What a beautiful color. You did an amazing job
That woman probably said to her mother, " I can't believe I was in the right place at the right time. There was a woman in the store who knew how much this was worth, and was nice enough to tell me."

Purple, flowers, butterflies, are the perfect way to surviving the winter. That and a little dog and books.

I still have my Blue Willow dish set for dolls that I got when I was 5! I'm 68!
Just love the way u look at life. I love it. I try and see the beauty in things also.
That was so sweet what you did for that woman with the 3 kids! That probably taught her children a priceless lesson as they hear that story over and over. I’m sure that it will not be forgotten.

The lavender is exquisite. Your room looks so peaceful.
I think the drapes are just so romantic esp w a breeze. You must just love them.

Hi Susan, l have been thrifting to for years,, l have a brother in law, that has his own store, he some times sells his products on eBay too, hugssss
The rain catcher would have a glass tube that goes in his hands and is a RAIN GAUGE! Love it!
Alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to write that book!!!!
Your bedroom looks so beautiful very feminine ❤️❤️
I laughed out loud at that too. 🙂
Susan, you are the message. If you buy it (house), they will come. They are coming. Joe Jackson said so
That's right - that memory of yourself being honest, true, happy for someone else - well that dear lady is priceless. ❤
What a blessing to be given the opportunity to do the right thing! I know your heart is filled with gratitude to have been the one who explained the worth of that wall sculpture to that young mother.
And to realize that young mother needed your kindness so badly.
Inspirational. Be kind. ❤
I'm tired of bees and bald spots on my lawn. I never thought I'd be so glad to see Fall.
I celebrate my mother, she just passed. At 95 years old she deserves to rest and live on forever with Jesus. I enjoy your videos and loved how you decorated your bedroom. You are a great inspiration. Thank you!❤️
Oh Susan, your bedroom decor just takes my breath away! Gorgeous!
YOU ARE SO SWEET!!!!
I really think what you get in a thrift store, has to do with how often you go.
You so restore my faith in human kindness. Love and blessings to you and those you love.
People in this world are so blessed to have you in their lives even if it a just one chance meeting at a thrift store ❤
🕊🍂🍁🙏🏿
It is truly a joy to see you apply the beauty in your heart toward the lovely home you are creating:)...
You decorate with love, kindness, whimsy, grace, and care:)...
Beautiful decorations for a beautiful home, from a beautiful heart:)...
Great video Susan:)
🍁🙏🏿🕊🍂😊
The foyer color is gorgeous! Mirror looks great!
My Mother bought me a set of Blue Willow 30 years ago. I use it every day. It is beautiful.
Dear Susan,
God has blessed you with so many pretty things in your home that even if you loved the sculpture it would have no value and the beauty would have pale compared to your sincere honesty and kindness. Trust me you are going to find something even better and grander than that sculpture and your will be so overjoyed. Promise when you find that special piece that sparks ⚡️ joy you will show and share how it makes you feel. It’s coming and truly can’t wait to see it. ✨💫
You passed the test! BTW your bedroom is lovely.
I love the amount of joy you got by sharing the honest facts of that sculpture piece, joy is priceless $ 🎉
Now, every time you think about the "Sculpture, that got away" you will get a warm feeling in your heart....so worth it !
Your bedroom looks so pretty and romantic with the lavender and white bedding and curtains! I love it! 🤍💜💜
Hello my sweet beautiful friend and happy fall!!! I was just thinking of you today!!! I have to get over to your channel. I miss you so much!
Bless you, Susan, you have such a good heart! That piece of art will end up where it is supposed to be. I find comfort believing that to be true. You did the right thing. Thanks for this special video this week. I love your beautifully romantic bedroom, I especially love the curtains. 💞
You had a Sacred Moment!
That’s a beautiful story. You did a good deed. ❤❤❤May in come back to you 10 fold.
" flower power!!!! Dont we know my sweet friend!!!
Susan, I wish my town had such wonderful thrift shops as yours. I love so many of the things you have purchased over the years. ❤
Oh my, I am also glad you let that piece go! Bless your heart.🎉
Always!
YOU are gorgeous! 🤍
LOVE your bedroom and entry mirror!!
You are a dear lady. You have a lot of compassion.
Oh its so fun to welcome winter with a cozy new room!!!
I just turned 65 and Oct.12 I am retiring.I am scared excited, never not worked since16 ,this is were
I need to be brave and get busy enjoying my life trying new things,Oct. 12 is my mother’s heavenly birthday. She is still giving me blessings ❤❤ single and brave ❤❤
Susan what a heart felt gesture you gave to that young woman. You gave her hope in humanity & in herself. Happy Fall to you & Desi.🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🐕🍁🍂🍁🍂🦋🦋🦋
Oh, that young mom ......and the last thing you told us about Joe and Ty just wanted me to cry......❤❤❤
You absolutely did the right thing. God will bless you loads.
What a wonderful story... you made that ladys day. BLESS YOU !! 💖
Susan, watching Desi sleep in the background is so sweet -- you hit the jackpot with him.
I didn’t have a good week at all. I have Covid. Bummer but I did manage to paint a small piece of furniture 🦋🤗👍❤️
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon!@!!!!!!
