@Fatty Drake what, predator hunting grounds? It was 35-40 at launch. In terms of maps. It was short. But other than that, the other content such as weapons, skins, etc was pretty good for launch.

My cousin's dad got this game for PS3 since he's a huge Rambo fan, not knowing what he was getting into.. He played it for a little while, took the game out, broke it into pieces, put it in the toilet and pissed on it.

All of you are way late to the game. Aliens: Colonial Marines had him furious.
The colonel screaming "JOHN!" whenever you die... seems like a rip-off of Metal Gear Solid. I think we all remember everybody screaming "SNAAAAAAAKE!" at the game over screen.

It was still annoying, but it was less annoying. Let's be honest, the death screen of MGS was really annoying after a while.

Believe it or not, in the novel that the movie is based on, Rambo is a deranged, psychopathic maniac who kills MANY, MANY cops and innocent civilians. And he dies at the end. And the book explains that he not only accepts but fully embraces his death because he wants to die.
The novel is extremely dark.
Wow, I didn't actually know that. That's really interesting, and pretty depressing--
I think the movie is better.
Yeah, it's a really fucked up novel. Very dark and disturbing. Originally, they were going to make the movie follow the book, but they thought it was way too dark and that the ending was way too depressing. So, they gave John Rambo a more sympathetic personality and attitude and made him and the sheriff survive at the end. (The sheriff dies at the end of the book too). In fact, they even filmed an end scene where Rambo is killed by Colonel Trautman, but changed it. That unused footage of Rambo being shot by Trautman was later used in the nightmare/flashback sequence in Rambo 4.
It would be interesting to see a "reboot" made, but following the storyline of the novel. It would be a much more realistic representation of what would actually happen if a veteran snapped and went on a rampage.
And movie audiences now a days are more accustom to dark, bleak movies that lack a "happy ending". It would be really cool to get a dark reboot based on the book!

what if i told you, Joe that there is a good version of this game. The truth about this game is that it is an arcade port. In my country there is a mall arcade that has this exact game in a version with rifles. You aim at the screen with the rifle and its actually realy fun. Its obvious though that :
1. Its a bad port
2. Production quality still sucks
But the arcade version is still a lot more fun than this.

I love rewatching his old reviews from time to time. Joe is probably one of the few UA-camrs who doesn’t have any dirt on him and still manages to put out quality content. You can tell he still loves what he does and cares a lot.
I’m 26 now and have been watching his reviews since I was 16.
Legit I feel the same way. My brother and I still to this day reference his Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reviews, same with Mind Jacked and Sonic free riders, we saw those reviews right when they dropped. Good times!

The graphics should have been better that crysis and killzone combine considering the fact you only have to render what's visible from the on rails perspective. I've played railshooters in crappy little convenience stores that looked and played better than this

I think such reviews like this one helped Teyon to learn from their mistakes. After this shitty game they made a very good Terminator Resistance. I like how they dealt with critics and learned from it. Support them.
I don't think they were maliciously trying to make a cash grab. They probably just didn't know how to properly adapt Rambo into a video game so they went for the most unique form of shooter. They probably didn't have that much of a budget either.

The reason it's rated 6/10 on Steam is because the game was made free with the Baker Team update. Huge difference to paying $40. It still has a few issues though, crashes every now and then, and definitely can get boring since it is a shooting gallery. But, at least it is free now. I think that's the best thing they could have done. I actually wanted to try out Ride to Hell and experience how bad it was myself. But I can't do that since Steam removed it completely. At least with Rambo I can have that experience at no cost.

Yeah, guess Bioshock Infinite did not sell well enough and lack of muiltplayer did not help either. I liked Bioshock 2 for multiplayer even though it was rough around the edges. The good thing is there are plenty of new games coming out. I am currently playing Titanfall and Battlefield 4 on PC. Titanfall is faster than COD. Using a gamepad on it right now. Works great on PC. I am happy new PC games are allowing gamepads to be used with aim assist. I don't like using the keyboard for gaming if I don't have too. I have been playing consoles forever and just moved to PC. I love the control of a mouse but hate the odd keyboard controls for most games.
