Apparently the company selling them wanted him to pay for all the software because it wasn't installed. It was nothing more than a scam. The company was in India .
Thank you so much for posting. This was an excellent video. I was having issue’s clearing my Check engine soon light on a Nissan Maxima 2012. I had to clean my Mass Air Floor Sensor, and your video help me complete the job. I hope you see this comment. Your great dude. Excellent!!
The device was only supposed to clear his check engine light. It did that but also reset his "readiness monitors" if you look at the beginning of the video he only had one flashing. At the end he had about 6 flashing. The device is only supposed to clear/erase the codes not erase everything! I used this device to clear my codes once my ready monitors were all good and it wiped everything. I now have to drive 100 more miles for the computer to reset the monitors again. If you are trying to get state Inspection do not clear codes with this device.
Can you tell me how to check if someone has deleted the codes? I'm looking to buy a car and I want to know for when I check out cars I am potentially will be buying.
Did you able to find the answer to your question? Im now searching for a used car and i wonder the same thing if there is a way to know if it was erased from the dashboard and the problem is still there.
Same issue. I changed out faulty sensor (MAP) as indicated by scanner but engine light remains on with same error code. Does car have to be off or running when trying to erase.
I hope this reply isn’t to late. If you hit erase and it didn’t work, try it again and as soon as the check engine light starts blinking, unplug the device wait until it says clear. The same thing happened to me on the first try. On my word it works. Good luck.

So how many codes was it saying you have in total ? I have all these codes and 2 are blinking but it says 1 of 1 . So I'm not sure how many codes if have lol.
I have a mis fire in cylinder 2 want to erase it I just changed my spark plugs and bought a new coil pack for that cylinder and still chows code also my device won't erase it

The only way (that I know) is to run the car more than 60 miles. The check engine is shown up again.

is the flashing c in the I/m means that's the area where it won't pass smog?
