Thanks for the awesome tips my mother-in-law had me use saltine crackers and just spread melted butter over the top and chocolate chips it's amazing because of a combination between the chocolate and the salt it tastes like Almond Roca without the nuts but add nuts that's what I'm going to do for Christmas not as agile as I used to be and I want to make Christmas special so that's the kind I'm making very similar thank you so much and God bless you
@thizizliz I did do a couple like this but both had chocolate chips on them and one of them had cashews. One of them was made with saltines instead of graham crackers. Both were very good.
Your commentary is priceless. LOL Did you notice what you said? you said, "I should have waited til the butter was melted before I added the butter." that struck me funny. Why? I dont know. LOLOL;-) yes i do have someone like that, doesnt know "Thats what she said". Glad we're not the only ones that make fun of them. LOLOL This looks delicious!!!
Of course it smells good - it's butter and sugar! :) OMG, I want this!!! I made something similar at christmas but without the graham crackers - Tammy's maybe? anyway if you want chocolate on it, sprinkle chips while it's hot - they'll melt and you can spread them right away with a rubber spatula. But let's face it - that looks GOOOD. (that's what she said!)
I tried melting the butter and sugar and it comes out clumpy and thin. Almost like the sugar and butter didn’t combine. Yours came out thick and smooth. How do I get the same result? What am I doing wrong?
@yoyomax12 I remember the saltines! I copied the one that was more like toffee - no crackers. That one was hard to give away! I wanted it all!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooooh... This looks like the sort of thing that if I made the whole recipe, I'd consume the whole thing before it completely cooled. I won't translate that into TWSS speak. LOL
the normal way is to just make carmel and put graham wafers on the bottom and sprinkle it with almond then put the carmel on and putit in the oven to cook the graham wafers then put the chocolate chips on
lmfaaaaooooo!! I TOTALLY have a person in my life that doesn't know how to do the TWSS! omg it's so annoying. I'll be like "can you hand me the pot holder please" and he'll be "that's what she said" im like uhh.. or " do you think bath and body's closed right now? "- "that's what she said" i'm like really? Then as we're walking into the store he picks up a texture balm for your hair and goes "ew, it's so hard and sticky" and i go "THATS WHAT SHE SAID" and he goes "OHHHHHHHHH" LOl! gotta
drooling - drizzled chocolate over top would also be yummy!

Are you saying saltines butter and no sugar ❓

A friend of mine makes this with pecans and it's just delicious. thanks for the share!

These were great, but I recommend not using thinly sliced almonds. Thicker chunks will give a needed crunch.
Use parchment paper. I know I’m late. I just discovered this video and will try this recipe. Thank you.

Would you use brown sugar ❓
This is like that Christmas crack made with saltines and chocolate chips. I might try swapping my saltines with graham crackers
LOOKS DELISH- THANK YOU!
OMG that looks so good!

All I know is when u took it out of the oven after that 2nd 7 minutes I was drooling over my keyboard!!! :-)~
your dress color is so pretty =)
I don't know how to do "that's what she said" I think people are making fun of me :)
Now I know why. ;)

This method would solve the problem of sliced almonds not sticking. Good idea.

"I should have waited actually until the butter was completely melted before I added the butter." Huh? J/k. I know you meant sugar.
