Looks delicious! Am definitely making this. You don't have to boil the almonds to get the skins off. Just soak them in water for 4 or more hours & they come right off. I do them overnight as we make our own almond milk. The less heat, the more nutrients remain. Merry Christmas! USA here.
Thanks, glad you like it. There are more spanish nougat on the channel if you want to see them. Sure you will love it. Merry Christmas, cheers 😊😊😋😋
Or buy blanched ones.
@@VARGASAVOURRECIPES Happy Holidays 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁💒💒⛪️⛪️💒✝️✝️
⭐️Thanks. Happy Holidays 🎄🎅
Thank you and same to you too
Preparation method looks so grand and eye-catching. That looks absolutely amazing, incredible and delicious 🌸
Your recipe has brought back memories from childhood of making divinity at Christmas time for family and gifts. It was so delicious, much like your recipe but we used different flavors of jello with chopped nuts and fruit, my favorite was strawberry but we made several. Thanks for sharing as I haven't thought about it for years. You're recipe looks equally delightful. Folks will be surprised just how good it is!
Hello Marcia thanks for your message, I am very happy to read it, I am delighted to know that it reminded you of your childhood days, this is one my childhood favorite too, I hope you give it a try and surprise everyone, it is easy to do but just a tip take cake when heating the sugar and honey mixture and achieve the right soft ball stage around 115 c or 239 f, if you need any help let me know thanks
@@VARGASAVOURRECIPES I will definitely try yours, I remember testing for the soft ball stage in cold water, back in the 50s we didn't have thermometers to help us, again I thank you for sharing, it's amazing how 1 lovely act can bring much joy, God Bless you and yours!
Thanks, and Gd bless you
Divinity!!! My grandma made it every year. She would always butter a huge platter, and set ontop of a washtub filled with snow --had to be sure no water got on the candy. We used a similiar route for scratch fondant.
My mom used to make divinity. I love it too much to make. Grew up addicted to sugar. Now I use dates or coconut sugar and mo flour
I’ve always called this nougat. Loved this as a child. Thank you for the recipe.
My pleasure 😊 thanks for the comment Donna, I am glad you like it, it is my childhood favourite too
yup, the easy maybe typical christmas treats were this with peanuts, its like that one candy bar Big Hunk,, powdered with confectioners sugar tho, small squares
I’m watching from Canada. I made this and it turned out delicioussss!!! 👩🍳👌🏼 Made some changes. Can even use this inside cakes and other desserts. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
🔸Maple syrup (instead of honey)
🔸Vanilla sugar
🔸 Crushed ginger hard candies
🔸 Toasted, chopped pecans
🔸 Dried cranberries
🔸 Touch of salt
My pleasure. Good, glad you like it. Cheers
Can you please tell me about..ulternate of egg white..for vegetarian
Can you tell me what type of pan that is and how I can order one please?
It is teffal non stick probably you could buy it from Amazon I imagine
@@VARGASAVOURRECIPES thank you! I don’t see a pan called tefal but I’ll keep looking
Looks easy to make and look delicious ,not hours of beating as well ! I must try ,thank you for sharing !👏👏❤️
My pleasure 😊
This brings fond childhood memories of Christmas in my native country, the Republic of Panamá🇵🇦. We will always have on the table "turrón" imported from Alicante, Spain. Simply delicious, this recipe is exactly how I remember this holiday treat. Thanks for showing how to make it👍
Hello Rita thanks a lot for your message, I am happy that this was able to bring back good childhood memories of Christmas for you, yes the turron from Alicante is very special, I hope you will have some turron this Chrismas too, thanks and have good time
Rita loved Electric Company
Hallo from the United States! This is exactly what I've been looking for: a nice, easy, traditional treat for the Holidays! Will be making this for Chanukah, DEFINITELY. Thank you!
Hi and welcome. Glad you like it. This is spanish nougat the most popular sweet in Christmas in Spain. This is turron duro o turron de Alicante. Sure you will like it. Cheers 😋😋
Thank you! Looks pretty easy!
I am in New Orleans, and my Granny used to make this and other delicious candies for Christmas! This is now on my list as well!
Hope you enjoy thanks for the comment
What is it similar to? I'm trying to imagine what it would taste like. You don't chop the nuts?
THANK you...i am from South Africa...i watch all your treats and share with my family members...your recipes are the best..and they so economical...not expensive to make...you rock...God bless.
I'm from Brazil and I loved your recipe. 😍❤ Thank you so much! Merry Christmas! ❤🎄🎁🎅🤶🥰
I'm from Brazil, this in Brazil is called 'Torrone', I've grown up eating this deliciousness. And I never knew how to make it until now. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
Hi Kes and welcome. Glad you like and know that. Yes. It is spanish nougat or turron duro or turron de Alicante. Cheers 😊😊😋😋
Also in Italy my sister always brought torrone to us in Philippines
Canada here and loving this recipe. I grew up having nougat around the holidays and still crave it. Thanks for sharing, I will be making this soon
Hello Martha thanks for your comment, Nougats are my childhood favorite too, hope you will enjoy it!
Soy de México. Se ve riquísimo. Muchas gracias por compartir 🤤
From Connecticut, USA. You have made a very professional video. The candy looks absolutely wonderful. It looks very similar to the Italian nougat candy, 'Torrone' which is a nougat candy with nuts. I prefer the dried fruit in mine. Thank you for a nice video.
Hello and welcome, thanks for your comment I am happy that you like it, yes, it is similar to Torrone Italian, I added dried apricots and cranberries, I hope you will enjoy this
I'm from Mexico, my great grandmother's sisters in law were from Spain. I remember every Christmas time, they gave me and the other children of the family this candy because they said on xmas it received too this in Spain, when they and my great grandfather were kids. Will be good to prepare this recipe and remember how "tasted" my Christmas's childhood
Hello Momo I am glad to read your comment, this Nougat is also my childhood favorite I prepare this every year during Christmas holidays
This is called “turròn”
Yes
I used to buy nougat at the bus station back in the Philippines for treats for my nieces. Living now here in Sweden, now I can make it my own. Thank you for your recipe. Looks a lot of work but I'm sure it's all worth it. 😋
Thanks for the comment, Marissa hope you will make it soon
That's what I kept saying! I don't bake since I moved to Cozumel, Mexico. Small kitchen, sold all my kitchen equipment before we left the US. But there are plenty of bakeries and people who will make just about anything for you here! I'm blessed! 🌺
You are in a good place Carolyn
Excelente , maravilloso, increíble, voy a preparar uno. Gracias
Sou do Brasil!!
Aqui é conhecido por torrone, e é feito com amendoim, porém, não tinha a mínima ideia de como era feito. Adoroooo........
Amei a receita!!!
From Canada....although I am English and Italian..You have just made a form of the traditional Italian Torrone.. Very very nice. Thank you 😉.
Hello, thanks and welcome, thanks for the comment, yes, it is Torrone very delicious
I buy Torrone all the time ❤
I'm not very adept at this kind of thing, but I'm sure even I will be successful making it.
I know my grandchildren will love it!

We have this exact snack in Turkey. We also add hazelnuts (Thinly sliced) and dry apricots (In small cube forms) too. And sometimes put light biscuits to its two sides like a sandwich. I had no idea it was this easy to prepare. Looks amazing!
Hi. This is spanish nougat, turron duro o turron de Alicante. It is the most popular sweet for Christmas in Spain. The traditional one is only with roasted almonds. Cheers 😋😋

Hello watching from NYC 🗽, looks delicious! Thanks for sharing 🥰
Cannot wait to make this for my family! Watching from WV, USA ❤️
Hope you enjoy
ניראה מצוין גם לכל ימות השנה הולכת להכין תודה
I'm watching from the Isle of Wight, UK. The egg sugar mixture looks like Italian meringue. So I added the sugar syrup to the egg whites over a ban Marie and it worked really wel. Such a lovely sweet treat.
Yes it does look like Italian meringue! I'll give it a try.
Hi Ann Claire. Glad you like it. This is spanish nougat or turron duro o turron de Alicante. It is the most popular sweet for Christmas in Spain. Cheers 😊😊

In the American South this is called Divinity.
We usually don't use honey, just sugar, and the sugar mixture is poured into the egg whites very slowly and mixed in. It stays fluffier and isn't as dense.
Hello and welcome, thanks for the comment it sounds interesting and delicious, I must check it out thanks
This looks super yummy I shall definatly be making this at Christmas thankyou for sharing this recipe 😊 x
Thanks Judy, glad you like it. It is spanish nougat, turron duro or turron de Alicante. This is the most popular spanish sweet for Christmas in Spain. Cheers 😊😊😘😘xxx

Parabéns.
Hi there. I’m watching from Brazil. I’m going to try this recipe. It looks like torrone and I never saw anyone making it. Thank you sooooo much for sharing. Have a wonderful blessed Christmas.
Hello thanks for the comment Hope you enjoy
The egg separator is something I haven’t seen before! I made nougat with just nuts 2 weeks ago from a different recipe and it was good…but I had to use my candy thermometer to monitor the temp twice (I also never attempted to make this, ever).
Thanks.. I will try that
It looks so good, I'm going to try and make some myself. Thank You 😊
Hello, thanks and welcome 😊
