Serial Mom is an amazing film and I watched and loved it WAY before I should've. Like John Waters' other films, it was based in Baltimore and (being from DC and now living in Baltimore) I always chuckle every time I pass one of the locations I recognize from the film. I really don't know how Kathleen Turner was not nominated for an Oscar for this, cause Beverly Ann Sutphin was TRULY off her rocker! 💚

This woman was an actual predator. They could not do NOTHING with her lmao ots was so horribly funny that everybody she had issues it was on sight and she did not miss. Had the whole town bumblin around. She the type to kill her cell mate for rolling up her pant legs and i cant get over how thourough she was. Happy sunday.
And she was sloppy af about her work too and STILL the authorities couldn’t lock her down. Maybe that’s why, because she knew they were incompetent or she just gave zero fucks (probably both).

After the movie Scream I was obsessed with anything Matthew Lillard starred in. That's how I found out about this movie. I think I was 14 when I watched this and it became one of my pick me up movies whenever I felt down or sad because of how over the top it was lol. Thanks to this movie I became a bigger fan of Matthew and a new found fan of John Waters. An underrated film for sure. Also that "Beverly's Hit List: Upper Room/Pending..." was sending me 😂
Another thing I loved about this movie was at 15:37 where we see the "Death Becomes her Easter Egg" poster! (Another great movie that you have wonderfully covered already on your channel 💕)
To know that the lead actress is also the voice of Jessica Rabbit blows my mind 😮

My Grandma rented this movie for us to watch when I was around 9. She thought it said cereal mom and was some kind of family movie. Boy, was it a surprised to both of us. We finished it, though. My Dad couldn't figure why I was scared for a week after coming home from Grandma's house.
That phone exchange between her and Dottie still has me dead ass laughing 🤣. Making that woman’s life hell on the phone?? Over a parking space at the supermarket??? That’s otherworldly levels of petty.

This is my movie. I watched it far too young the first time (did 80s babies have real supervision?). I rewatch this movie every few years or so. Beverly was nuts!

HELL YEAHHHHH!! This is my favorite movie from the 90s 😭 I was like 10 or 11 when I watched it (without my mom’s permission 😭🤣). I watched it again about 5 years ago and I still love it.
This was one of the few movies I got to share with the whole fam back in the day. We were on the floor cracking up cuz Kathleen Turner did the damn thang!
Beverly is definitely of “F*ck around & find out” type of person in my opinion.

thanks for doing this recap of one of my favorite movies of all time, the keypoints i wanna point out are: when the family was talking about misty crush carl pagent and beverly said to misty that the family happy about it and chip replied i'm so happy i could 💩and when beverly said to chipthat you know how i hate the brown word...i was on the floor(2) when mrs jensen had that dog lick her man looking feet was nasty as hell...they could've keep that(3) rosemary was the type of nosy neighbor you love and love to dislike at the same time because she needs to respect bounderies
