that wig is like a cross between tina turner, and rick james
😂😂😂
LOL That wig is hysterical!
Cool costumes! 😁 Amber looks spot on for the 80s. Jordan looks straight out of the prom from Carrie in 1976. Great reaction 🎃
Who's wearing a wig? I think both of them look nice.
INXS, HAS MANY GREAT SONGS, THEY ARE ONE OF THE FEW FROM THAT DECADE THAT REALLY ARE LEGIT GREAT BAND!👍
The whole "Kick" album by INXS is great!
You beat me to it!
Surely one of top tennof the 80’s!
Yes- They got kind of played out back then, but these kids bring a fresh look to it. They were a great band...
100% truth
That's what I was going to say.
RIP Michael Hutchence. He was such a gifted artist and performer. His voice remains one of my favorites to this day. An INXS song I think you would really love to react to is Never Tear Us Apart. It's just a beautiful, soulful song.
By my side. Bitter tears. Beautiful girl.
💯 ❤
My fav. Stunning song.
What a way to go out though, he had fun in his final minutes...
@ Defensive Sounds: I loved this band growing up, and I remember being in college and working at the college radio station when the news of his death came over the news sure . . . Without going into details of how he died, I have to ask: Do you think he was around in spirit the night David Carridine died, maybe to try to stop him?
INXS was an incredible band…INCREDIBLE!
Edit:
There’s no question they would still be popular and have longevity similar to U2 if it wasn’t for the untimely death of the lead singer.
Very good point
Totally agree!!!
Bono and Michael where good friends , Stuck in the moment was written about Michael's death.
My uncle was mates with a few of the band mates in high school...
I agree. They were good friends. I saw an article saying they were critiqued for not changing style in the early 90s. Especially with Grunge and Nevermind.
It’s a bloody crime that INXS have not been inducted into Hall of Fame.
INXS has so many great songs including this one. Also great are Never tear us apart (violins, Saxophone, Amber sway), I need you tonight (One of their best), Devil inside, beautiful girl and a few others. RIP Michael Hutchence (lead singer)
Great band! I need you tonight, Devil Inside, Never Tear Us Apart
Their cover of the Easybeats song - 'Good Times' - featuring Jimmy Barnes, is well worth a listen.
Brillant Band! Miss you Michael! 💕👏🌞🐦
They played here in Tucson 2 nights in a row, long ago...I went both nights! Yeppyepp!!
Just put _Listen Like Thieves_ on repeat and thank me later
I absolutely love Beautiful Girl
"Suicide Blonde" starts with an amazing harmonica and kicks butt!
Killer opening.
If they like harmonica they should check out Cold Chisel
Absolutely LOVE that one!
Quite a title considering Paula and Peaches were blondes....
Yesss!
INXS was as talented a band as there's ever been. Their music still rocks just as hard.❤
INXS will always be the most memorable and iconic sounds of the 80’s that can never be replicated! Michael’s voice and heart was one in a million, forever missed, never forgotten.
Top group. Hutchence was so gifted lyrically and with looks but unfortunately was a tortured soul inside. R.I.P.
Same with his replacement.
Sex drugs Rock n Roll. Some survive it and slowly fade away, some burn bright and burn out before time, but what a legacy that will always survive, that’s how I look at people lives, what they brought gave us, not what we lost, we all get born and we all die, not everyone truly lives.
He had permanent brain damage after being attacked in the early 90s which had a big effect on his emotional outlook and behaviour.
The brain injury played a huge part in his life 93 beyond.
Tortured soul like so many of the greats!
"Never Tear Us Apart" is a good ballad, but "Devil Inside" has always fascinated me. Don't forget "Meditate"!!
Need you tonight too.
Lol those are less of my favourite dude, but everyone likes different music. I think love bites is one of the best ballalds. Sheriffs when im with you is also top ballad
So good to see INXS appreciated by new fans. The charismatic Michael was mesmerising to watch live - his huge voice, the way he moved & the brilliant musicians in that band ❤🔥❤
As an Aussie, it makes me so happy that you guys love INXS so much
@deanladue5367 here in australia, the style you described is what we usually call Pub Rock. It is still huge here, and most cover bands that are just getting started tend to lean towards the 80's stuff, because it is so raw and character building
R.I.P Micheal Hutchence. He had one of the greatest voices in music.
The guitarist Amber commented on is Kirk Pengilly; he's also the sax player. Next Stops:
"The One Thing"
"Don't Change"
"Need You Tonight / Mediate" (must be both songs)
Ty, Dave. I was gonna say same about Kirk. well done.
Stay Young, Black and White, Original Sin, Dancing On The Jetty, Mystify....they had so many great songs.
Yeah, they were a banger factory; it's hard to go wrong with anything they did.
Just a fact off INXS but on Kirk, he's married to the greatest ever female surfer Layne Beechly! And they all come from Manly on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Another fact one of the brothers was, dunno if he still is but was Manly Cricket Clubs President in the Sydney Grade Comp
Don't Change is an incredible song.
I have no idea if you read all of our comments, especially this far away from the moment you dropped it, but I soooo hope you read this one. I met my husband in 81, and INXS became a huge part of our love story. We LOVE to dance and their music hit us both in the solar plexus! We were fortunate to see them twice. Once before marriage and children and then once as our first “date” after our son was born. I was a teacher (like you!) and was driving home from work when the radio announced Michael Hutchinson’s death. I literally had to pull over because I began to cry. When I got home we played all their albums, one after the other dancing and reliving so many moments of our young life together. Their music was and continues to be a backdrop to our 40 year love story. I’m so glad you love them!!!! Great music transcends generations. Hold on to the love and passion you have for each other and music. It’s my hope for you that you are still feeling all that is good between you for the next 40 years!
Jerilyn they are part of my life story too. I was heavily pregnant with my firstborn at their concert in Melbourne the night before I went into labour. Have been a huge fan ever since I first heard “Just Keep Walking” in 1979.
I was on the way home from a Motley Crue concert and was on a complete high. The radio announcer came on and announced his death and I had to pull o er and cry. It was so sad. There are a couple documentaries on youtube that are very good.
@@ellefitzpatrick6339 I kept getting older and older albums by INXS until I ended up with their debut album. Some great songs. Just Keep Walking. (Could had been a) Doctor, could had been normal, especially in the daytime. Love it!
Me too, My favourite band since 1987. Michael was my Elvis, the world ended that day. But please spell his name right it's "Hutchence."
INXS was my favorite band of the 80's. Sadly, we were robbed of more greatness with MH passing.
I was married in 1980 and let's just say that my husband actually wore that same tux Jay has on for our wedding. Gotta love the 80's.
My brothers also wore something very similar for senior prom in ‘79.
My prom date (1980) had the same tux but in maroon.
1980 might have been the last time those blue tuxes saw the light of day. Very much a 70’s thing.
Amber would love NEVER TEAR US APART the saxophone in it is great.
He had a voice that topped all the rest! Listen to all their live recordings and concerts and you will know what I am talking about. Not just looks he had. He had the whole package. ✌🏻
RIP Michael Hutchence, the fact he lost his life in such a tragic way, and when he was still so young, will always be one of the biggest blows to music.
He hung himself.....The whole family has tragedy...Paula Yates died of a heroin od on her daughter Pixies birthday. Tiger Lily was with her at the time. Daughter Peaches also died of a heroin od. Bob Geldof got custody of Tiger and raised her along with his other daughters.
@@snikkerr1949 He almost certainly didn’t hang himself during some sado-sexual practice. That exact form of “suicide” has been the end of many a celebrity especially in the music and movie world. He was taken out with a satanic ritual death. There were witnesses in the next hotel room to Hutchence who clearly heard two men arguing loudly from his room just before he was found dead…it never made it to court or the media (shocking I know), but those witness statements are out there. Does it make sense to you that he killed himself in that way and that exact type of death has been repeated many times around the world with celebrities?
Fine Young Cannibals!! An 80s must! She drives me crazy or an 80s style Elvis remake of Suspicious Minds would be amazing!
"Johnny Come Home" is one of the greatest 80s songs.
Fine Young Cannibals is definitely a great band to react to - and they also have the weird sort of name that sometimes attracts J&A to say "Let's check them out"
PS - I'm off to find some FYC vids now - thanks 😃
We had a singer perform at college once who sang Suspicious Minds. What made it memorable was that he kept switching between being an Elvis impersonation and an FYC impersonation.
"Good Thing"
Amazing band, just love them and they’re a staple on my playlist.
the "Kick" Album is one of the best from the '80s...."Mystify" next please!!!
I love Mystify
absolutely. Mystify is fantastic.
Calling all nations from Kick...was good too..
I was lucky to see the likes of Michael Jackson, George Michael & Madonna live during the 80's & early 90's...but nothing beat seeing INXS live, particularly on their Kick tour. Michael Hutchence was such a brilliant & underrated front man. RIP
I love INXS, and I have love there reactions.
One the greatest bands in world. RIP Michael Hutchence.
'Never tear us apart" is AMAZING by INXS 💔❤🎵
Great song. But I'll always prefer 'What you need'
Remembering making your way through a club to your people with this on is everything
INXS are under rated, often written off as just another 80s band, but there was brilliance there. Many favourites but personally ‘need you tonight’ ‘never tear us apart’ and ‘beautiful girl’ are my faves.
INXS are amazing! I love them . Their songs ''Need you tonight' and 'Never tear us apart ' are brilliant. Happy Halloween guys!
Bono on U2 tours always shouts out "Hutch" as a tribute to his great friend, the late frontman of INXS, Michael Hutchence. Usually when he sings "Stuck in a moment" or "Gone"..i didn't learn this until recently and used to also shout out "Hutch" when listening to those songs without realising what it meant.
He was on Letterman years ago and said this was written for Michael Hutchence.
@@jeanniea3437 yes that was a beautiful acoustic rendition with the Edge. Stunning.
Stuck in a Moment was written for Michael Hutchence. He and Bono really had a great friendship.
@@ladyamythyst69 one of my favourite U2 songs. Especially performed in concert where the Edge inserts extra guitar fills and background vocals. Slane castle was terrific.
If you haven't already heard it, Bono also sings on Slide Away, a song that Hutch was working on before he died. Bono wrote the verse after Michael's death and sung the bridge incl the lyrics " I would catch you, I'd catch if you fall..." chilling.
Cannot beat 80's music. Melodic, Entertaining, Artistic, and So well written.
They were absolutely one of the greatest bands of the 80s. RIP tho.
AMBER, you are glowing today, it’s crazy how great you look, if you told me you just gave birth not long ago, I wouldn’t believe you..:) Rob, you’re killing it as usual my dude… digging the 80’s costumes
NEVER TEAR US APART is another great song with sax appeal. He’s playing the guitar AND the saxophone 🎷Kirk Pengilly.
Saw them live in Chicago in February 1991. I was 19. Best concert ever. They were INCREDIBLE live on stage.
I feel so fortunate I got to see INXS on that tour on my birthday. I’ll never forget the full-tilt energy they brought. Who needs the birthday song when you can rock to New Sensation?
The guitarist with the glasses is Kirk Pengilly. He’s also the saxophonist.
The riff you liked at the start is actually guitar, not keyboards. Also, you really need to watch them live. I reckon you do Suicide Blonde, Mystify, Original Sin and By My Side all live from Wembley 1991.
Agree, was thinking keyboard? This group guitar/bass/drums funk
Stevemd there is keyboard - it just wasn’t playing the riff he thought it was lol
@@goldboy150 I know but it's just providing filler
yep, guitar with Chorus effect.
@@peterwalsh2470 tad of delay on the response guitar. Call guitar sounds straight clean to me. I might be wrong.
The whole "kick" album is a masterpiece! I would suggest "never tear us apart" because it's one my favourite songs ever! And the video is amazing, it was shoot in Prague which is one of most beautiful cities in Europe. The sax solo is iconic as well! Love the wig, J!
That song gives me chills to this day.
Definitely their best. However, Rob Squad already reacted to it about 8 months ago. Cheers\=/\=/
Don't change is a good INXS song. Disappear excellent song.
Michael has the same charisma as freddy mercury, don’t think we’ve had another since, RIP both of them
INXS would still be around and selling out if Hutchinson was still alive. They have 40+ hits every song is good. Dont Change is my favorite song
Sorry, it's Hutchence...
Love their old old stuff too. I Send A Message, Kiss The Dirt. All their stuff is boss.
Ok, now you HAVE to do Never Tear us Apart (great sax solo) and Need you Tonight! I graduated in the 80's and it was the best.
Yes!
YESSSS ... INXS makes you move! Seat dancing, wanna get up on the dance floor. The LIVE at Wembeley the ENTIRE crowd jams! YES! Kirk rocks! and the bass jams and sings along/ FUN band. Playlist music for home party fun in the backyard. TIMELESS you got that right. There's a vocal coach on UA-cam who does an analysis of Michael's voice on this song done at Wembeley that blows your socks off.
Best way to start my day! And I absolutely love the hands up in the air reaction to this awesome song!!
A lot of horns in INXS can’t go wrong with them really. Never tare us apart is a classic 👍🏻
Good choice for a new favorite band! Here's some of their biggest hits.
"Suicide Blonde", "Disappear", "Need You Tonight", "Devil Inside", "Not Enough Time", "What You Need", "Beautiful Girl", "New Sensation", "Bitter Tears", "Never Tear Us Apart"...
And one last one: "The Stairs (Live from Wembley 1991)"
I just relisted to The Stairs.....WOW. What a deep song, the lyrics have so much meaning for our times now. It reminds me of U2 song. Well Michael Hutchence and Bono were good friends .
I used to snowboard a lot to INXS on my headphones. When Disappear came on while shredding up the mountain I felt like a god. Perfectly fitting the fun.
Never Tear us Apart is, and always will be my favourite INXS song, it will blow your mind and break your heart all at the same time. RIP Michael x
"Don't change" is the best song that they ever did. Its also one of the most covered.
Yeah,I think it's my favorite too. Every time I saw them live in the 80's they closed the show with it and we floated out of the venue.
My favorite as well. They ended with it at their concert in Philadelphia back in the '80's that I went to as a kid.Place was going crazy even before they played it.Then boom!
Limpbizkit just covered it. They made Don't Change into a ballad. I knew this because a lot of Limpbizkit fans are watching the original with INXS.
I can’t thumbs up this hard enough. Absolutely amazing song!
"Need You Tonight" is one of the most iconic 80s songs there is. "The One Thing" is also a banger. Sadly, frontman Michael Hutchence died in 1997. The band kept going, through, with JD Fortune as their lead singer. They finally called it quits in 2012.
PLEASE DON'T LEAVE OFF MEDIATE!!
Need You Tonight.
Never Tear Us Apart.
Devil Inside.
Such an insanely great band.
You can't help but dance to this song. I m grateful I saw them in concert in 80s, one of the best shows I've ever seen everyone just got up& danced&.Michael 😍 gorgeous, RIP
There are no bad INXS songs. There’s just good, great and amazing songs. I saw them live several times and they were an amazing live show. I don’t think there are many better frontmen than Michael Hutchence. The drummer, keyboards and guitar player are brothers so you can add INXS to your list of bands with siblings in them.
It’s great to listen to each album top to bottom from their first in 1980 (INXS) to their last in 1997 (Elegantly Wasted) and see how they changed/evolved
And even listening to their post Michael work like their 2005 album (Switch)
I told ya this was a banger. Sadly, the band is no more, they ended when lead singer Michael Hutchence passed back in 1997. I was fortunate enough to see them live several times. They were a great live band.
Yes they had a lead singer competition. Rock star inxs which is on UA-cam. Runner up was Marty Casey from the lovehammers ( which I saw live in Chicago at hammerfest) the winner was JD Fortune.
Que tremendo éxito de una tremenda banda !!! I love them !!
INXS is one of the greatest rock bands in history. They have so many amazing hits like 'They Could Never Tear Us Apart', 'Beautiful Girl', 'Baby Don't Cry'- My personal favourite and 'Heaven Sent' which is another one my favourites. Any of these would be great to react to.
Totally agree why the bloody hell are INXS not in the Rock Roll Hall of Fame?
Happy Halloween 🎃
Michael Hutchence, the lead singer was a heartthrob. " I Need You Tonight " and " Never Tear Us Apart " are great ones too. OH! I forgot about " Devil Inside ".
KICK was a fantastic album and the level of talent by the one and only Michael Hutchence is unmeasurable. I recommend watching the “Live” tour which was recorded at Wembley Stadium.
Love your show! The costumes are on point! Bravo!!!!!
I agree they have to watch Live Baby Live - Wembley Stadium - Incredible!
Their 1991 live performance of this at Wembley Stadium is a must-watch. 😊
It’s really worth watching their Live Baby Live concert at Wembley . RIP Hutch - you are loved and missed greatly .
“I Need You Tonight” deserves a listen.
The combo is awesome
ua-cam.com/video/MiVbq6ZnNc4/v-deo.html
You both look great. ❤
One of the best examples of a crowd being totally involved is INXS live at Wembley. RIP Michael.
Truly one of the best, most original bands ever. Definitely genre defying!! They are in a class all by themselves😎
Amazon Prime has a 2 part film about them right now - INXS: Never Tear Us Apart
Thanks
Amazon Prime also has Mystify a documentary movie about Michael Hutchence. It's really good.
Hi guys! I'm a new watcher and I've been bingeing you for 2 days!!! Love y'all.
Welcome 🤗
INXS were a massive hit machine in the 80s. Enormous band. If you wanna hear Michael Hutchence belt, listen to Good Times. He and Jimmy Barnes really go for it.
Pleeease add Dont Change to your list. It’s the first song I ever heard by them-it’s impossible not to dance to it, and the lyrics are so positive and perfect
Try Devil Inside from them next.
Another Australian band to check out is Midnight Oil. Beds Are Burning.
The Time Has Come, The Facts are Facts
@@itsmedino Hey Dino. I forgot about The Time Has Come.
Australian band - The Little River Band
Disappear by INXS is a song that you don't hear much one of my all-time favorite groups looking great jay and amber ❤️
Inxs lead guitarist came into the bigfoot gas station in crothersville where I was working at years ago and ordered a bunch of coffee! There was a limo outside, couple of black Van's, a tour bus! It was awesome and a privilege!
One of their best songs is "Good Times", from the "Lost Boys" soundtrack. It rarely got any radio play, but it truly is a hidden gem.
DEFINITELY! I always wished it was included on the KICK CD as a bonus cut. This song is on my Songs For the Road playlist.
That was with jimmy brakes as well
Agreed!
Loved everything about this album. 'The One Thing' is still my favorite INXS tune, but this album had great production and energy.
I remember buying that 45 and Saved By Zero by The Fixx the same day! ❤️
INXS with their mesmeric lead singer Michael Hutchence were amazing both on record and live.
If you're going to react to more of their songs you must do "Never Tear Us Apart" and "Need You Tonight", if you react to the latter you will see why the ladies went wild for Michael.
They need to watch the live versions from Wembley stadium though. No more of the lame MTV videos.
@@lowracer1 Absolutely.
"Need You Tonight" is everything. Please add that one to the list, it's another one that could have come out today and be huge.
INXS and the amazing MICHAEL HUTCHENCE
When talking INXS you simply MUST consider 'I need you tonight'!
As an Australian, I never really appreciated INXS at the time because I've always been a more jazz/blues/funk fan, as a musician, and it was never really to my taste, but they always had a presence and a big legion of fan's. Looking back now, they were a kick ass group who will certainly go down as one of the best Australian rock group's of all time. In term's of touring now, it would be a bit pointless after Michael Hutchences passing in '97. I love the outfits, especially the gloves and the hair. Very 80's. 😃
You what?
Just so beautiful to look at! ❤ Michael rip
Awwww! You guys! You totally get it!! 😍 Loved this reaction/review so much. Do yourselves a big favor & watch New Sensation live in Buenos Aires & Rio (1991). The intros will knock you out. And then watch the whole Live Baby Live at Wembley Stadium (again, 1991). You won’t regret it. Peace, Love & Hutch 4ever!
Tim Farriss is the guitarist with the glasses. Andrew, his brother, is the keyboardist. Jon Farriss, another brother, is your drummer. Garry Beers is the bassist. Kirk Pengilly is guitarist and saxophone player. Of course, the late and great Michael Hutchence is the singer. ' Suicide Blonde' is one of their songs I recommend a listen to. Love you guys.
Tim Farris is wearing sun glasses, lead guitar, and Kirk Pengilly is wearing regular reading glasses, rhythm guitar and saxophone. The rest you got correct.
@@calkelpdiver I think they were correct. They just used the term in reference to Amber asking who it was in 'the glasses' that had her attention. As for INXS, they are definitely a band you can do a deep dive...some of their more subtle tunes and minor hits are The Gift, Searching, Guns in the Sky, Devil Inside and Disappear...Afterglow was pretty good too.
live down the street from Kirk and his wife 7 time surfing world champ Layne Beachley, most down to earth nice people for 2 absolute superstars!
Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🎃! You can't go wrong with this group!
I love this even more now, than back then. Michael Hutchence was incredible , and the beat was absolutely infectious.
INXS is way under rated. They have a great catalogue of songs through 80's & 90's. Anyone who doesn't explore more only deprives themselves.
INXS is actually classified as 80's alternative rock!! They get a lot of air play on SiriusXM's 1st Wave channel, dedicated to 80's classic alternative, new wave, and punk rock!!! The is my favorite song from them!!! Happy Halloween!!! The costumes rock!!! 🎃🎃🎃🎃👻👻👻👻
Guys y'all are adorable as always. Am er, you are always gorgeous. Rob, dude, you look great without hair and rad with that hair. Great song. So happy to see y'all enjoying this ole lady's favorite decade of music.
Still a favorite of mine, 40 years later. The horn section is powerful!
“Don’t change”, is one of the first songs that they hit huge with . It is such an uplifting synthesize song.
This song is about as 80's as it gets. One of my favorites.
You guys look FABULOUS!!
Fun to see Amber in an early 80's style. Pastel clothes, long pastel earrings, even the hair. When we think of 80's we often think of mid and later 80's with BIG hair. That was true, but not in all of the 80's. Well done Amber!
Love, love INXS!
Their music is timeless and did cover so many genres. They were music leaders, not followers.
The guitarist with glasses was also their saxophonist, Kirk Pengilly. He also had a good voice but Michael Hutchence, their lead singer, was a special.
Great costumes guys! INXS has many great songs enjoy.
Oh my gosh! You two look great! Amber looks about 14 years old!! Great song. Great reaction guys! 👏
I still remember finding out that Michael Hutchence had died. News broke during the early hours UK time on a Saturday morning. I got up early to go to work to do overtime. Was totally shocked. I'm glad I was an age where I could appreciate him and INXS before he died.
I'm 57 and so pleased another generation of young people like your family are hearing and enjoying the music I grew up with. Love your channel keep it up and love to you all
Michael Hutchence (the lead singer) passed away in 1997. INXS hasn't been on tour in years. It is hard to find a spark like Michael Hutchence.
Millions of fans of Inxs still around today. Michael Hutchence had a brilliant voice . Lots of movies use their music . So many fan clubs still . Michael Hutchence pulls you in. Michael Hutchence death in 1997 effected so many people around the world Still to this day. Do THEIR COLLABORATION WITH RAY CHARLES- PLEASE💛💛❤❤❤❤🧡💛💛💛💛
Fun fact Bono and Michael Hutchence were BFF's. U2 wrote the song "Stuck in A Moment" for him after he passed.
My favorite 80’s band! “ Beautiful Girl” is a great song. Amber would love it.
