NOPE! I said no to the Chanel mini coco handle AND the Chanel mini rectangle with top handle

Hi everyone!
I'm sharing my shopping experience from while I was on vacation. I got to finally try out some of the Chanel bags that I've been eyeing for years and I'm disappointed to report that I walked out of the boutiques without any bags in my hand!
Don't worry though, because I have a few I'm eyeing from the preloved market... 😉

Thanks for the video, I wish i seen it sooner! I have the chanel coco handle mini in black, bought it full price at the store, few months ago...I didnt quite like it personally although it is aesthetically cute, I try to resell to almost 10 stores, 8 out of them does not want to buy out because it is considered a "slow stock" compare to other chanel bags, The rest of store like consignment ones, would take it but way more less than retail. I'd say, if those out there who wants to get this bag, buy preloved. :/

Interesting… because the coco handle used to be one of the most desired bags for several years, so it’s shocking to me that resellers wouldn’t take it! If you are still interested in selling it I hope you can find a buyer that’s willing to pay decent amount for it!

im actually looking for a mini coco handle in black. do you still have yours? i really like it better than the classic flap with top handle. im just out here watching all these videos for the coco handle cuz I couldnt fully decide between medium, small, and mini. lol

I really agree with you on the top handle minis and Chanel lambskin generally. I thought it wasn’t so delicate but it really is! I actually had two top handle minis (light grey and medium grey) and ended up selling both. They are so so beautiful to look at but I found them impractical to use. As you say the leather wrinkles along the top and they are so delicate I was scared every time I used them. I decided to sell them before they got damaged. I like to use my bags and not just look at them. I ended up getting a mini coco handle. I am shorter than you so it works perfectly for me crossbody. And the leather is caviar and black so I feel much more comfortable. Also the size feels more substantial for day to day than the mini top handles (although fits very little lol) and it generally just feels more robust. Just a more comfortable bag to me. I also just purchased a mini flap in caviar, black preloved from the 17b collection having just sold a mini lambskin which again I was terrified to use and the shape was not as structured as caviar one which I prefer. Also sold trendy cc lol. I’ve had lots of chanel bags and I think black caviar minis are the most versatile (I have a medium caviar but don’t use it), safe - very hard to scratch- and timeless! I think you will love the Chanel mini in caviar if you decide to buy one. I’ll forever keep mine in my collection and unusually for me not sell it on.

I think the lambskin bags nowadays just don’t feel the same as they once did in the prime Chanel years. The production feels really rushed and quality seems to be not there. I am looking to add some vintage lambskin pieces but I wouldn’t add the newest lambskin pieces. It’s a shame that it’s like this, because good quality lambskin pieces can be last you a lifetime!

@@CatherineR I didn’t know that about vintage lambskin but thinking about it now, I had a Diana in lambskin from 1992/1993 and yes the lambskin was much less delicate than on the mini top handles. The leather on the mini top handles is so buttery soft but I was terrified by it!

Hi! No they only have them in lambskin now, the caviar release I believe was only one season.
