I have the same bag and never have a problem with it. All you do is move it slightly away from your body when you open it and the handle won’t bother you. It’s beautiful and can be worn dressed up or down and 4 different ways. Best part is I don’t see many of it around so that makes me feel special wearing it.
the question is why you have go thru the trouble to move it slightly away from your body when you open a bag each time? For my Chanel classic bag I don't even need to think when opening a bag. Many of us want the bag to work for us as this lady did.

I have the same one without the exotic handle and I love mine. It’s a very elegant looking purse. I like it much better than the classic flap.

I never had a Chanel. I was actually considering this bag. Now I changed my mind. In terms of looks, it is gorgeous. But with time I realized you need to be comfortable around the bag. I used my Coco handle for 1.5 years and the wear and tear was almost nonexistent. No corner wear no sagging and fits tons. Please keep this bag :)

I have the same exact bag and feel the SAME exact way. I don’t mind the back compartment being a little bothersome to get into. But you took the words right out of my mouth. Great video.
I think with the medium bag, it's bigger so sagging will happen same with the boy bag. If you go for the mini coco or small boy bag, there's less sagging, and the handle won't poke you. Can't go wrong with mini and small bags. It's usually the bigger bags that loses it shape.

Actually love this bag so much! Love the look, also it’s very functional and useful! May be the one you have giving you so many cons. My bag doesn’t sag at all at the bottom and the handle doesn’t dig into my arm. I love wearing it crossbody and the handle doesn’t bother me when I open it. I am looking into getting another one in beige in the mini this time. I am so sorry it doesn’t work for you.
I was thinking of getting the mini size 😂 is the handle of the mini longer than this small medium size? I prefer something longer as the length of the chain on this bag doesn’t crossbody at the correct length for me. 😊
I am pretty sure the length of the handle in the mini is shorter than the small/medium 😂. You definitely can’t wear it crossbody. It’s more of a hand held and shoulder bag, it’s super cute and chic!

Erica by Design not trying to burst your bubble, but I tried on the business infinity before, it’s a gorgeous bag don’t get me wrong but the shoulder strap doesn’t stay, it’s slipped from my shoulder easily 🤦🏻♀️. It was so tempting to get it, but at the end I decided not to get it for that reason. But definitely go try it one and see for yourself😊.

A lot of people complain about the fact that the hardware starts looking uneven over the time. And Chanel say that it is intentional. Honestly I don’t know what to say...

Don’t believe whatever Chanel said. It’s just cheap plating that doesn’t hold. For the vintage bags, they took care to put on thick layer of platting on the hardwares so the gold color doesn’t fake. They don’t do that anymore to save on production cost. There are many Chanel classic flap bags with the back pocket skewed to one side (including my bag). Chanel said “we don’t consider that a defect.” I was like, “seriously? Why don’t you just admit that Chanel doesn’t do quality control anymore?”
I actually purchased this same bag in Italy july 2019 and right now it's being repaired at chanel because the inside stitch came off, the stitch that binds the 2 compartments inside together. Anyway I too am disappointed with this purchase. I have only used the bag maybe 10 times at max and for that to already happen. Wtf. I agree with all of your pros and cons. I will sell my bag as soon as chanel returns it back to me.

This was a very informative video. I just purchased a coco handle in calfskin with chevron from Fashionphile. I've never seen one in person, I have a few classic flaps , but the shape and top handle looked beautiful. I haven't recieved it yet. I never thought about the handle how the seem will dig into my arm, and the bowing of the bottom. Thank you very much for sharing the pros and cons.

I can’t believe there is fading of the hardware after weeks of wearing it.. at this point that s just shocking for Chanel s price point . Topshop bags don’t fade as early

I swear I got a bag from Forever21 for like $29 and it held up too well I wore the sh*t out of it and it still looks new!!! 😧
i think that for coco handle, the mini size is the way to to go. small tends to sag. i have the mini size and dont have issue with it. except ofcourse of the wrinkling upon opening, but that is expected for flaps..i got the same hardware.
I think most Chanel bags look better than they function. As far as space, I compare them to oranges that have very thick rinds and very little orange; as in, Chanel bags consist of a lot of leather design elements, but provide little functional storage space.
Wish I’d found this video before I just purchased my new Coco Handle. I’m going to try it for a week and if I experience these issues, I’m sending it back!

I tried this exact bag and wasn’t really a fan. I purchased the mini instead and am absolutely obsessed with it. I think the Coco Handle in the mini size is the way to go (and surprisingly fits a good amount for a mini bag!)
I’m sooooo tempted to buy the mini! Everyone has been telling me it’s a much better size as compared to this medium one. Gonna try it out next time I’m able to go to a Chanel store! 😊
Great points. I totally understand the con when you wear as crossbody. I have small one ( or mini) size. I don’t like to wear as crossbody. I recently did my crossbody collection video, I was not planning to add this piece because I never wear as crossbody. Thank You so much for sharing darling ❤️

I've always enjoyed your video which are very informative. However, I've owned my coco handle for 2-3 years and it's so gorgeous and low maintenance, it's my go to bag every other day and don't have any issues like sagging, corner of flap turning out, handle digging into my skin, dressing at opening, etc... and wears extremely well! Maybe it's a combination of your aged gold hardware and the manufacture of your specific bag?

Any leather item will naturally change with wear. Nothing in life stays in brand new condition unless you never use or open it, and just have it for display. This is one of the most beautiful bags in the world. That being said, front flap is not for everyone. There will be the additional step of unlocking and opening the bag, therefore having to move the bag slightly away from your body. You're right though, these are reasons that it doesn't work for you. It's probably one of my all time favorite and beautiful bags, and sadly I hope you've not turned anyone away from it with this video, because your experience with the bag is rare. I do love an open top bag when I'm out and about running errands. No fuss opening. So I do get it. But the feminine look of the Coco, and quilted finish, and especially the top handle and flap and all features I love about it.

One pro is that the bag is quite lightweight, which is why I bought mine. But the handles do bother me. Totally hate the way the stiff handle digs into my side when I open the bag, which is often because i store my phone in the bag, not in my pocket. Another con for me is the crease getting worse whenever I open the bag. Now a regret purchase for me. I wish you posted this video in December... Thanks for the very thorough review tho. Mine is in light gray chevron SHW - I love gray.

I was deciding between this and the trendy. Actually fell in love with the trendy n then thought it was flashy because of the chanel on it. I totally get the points... I am asian n it would hit us on the wrong part of our body with a handle like that. But the flap curving like that... that's a deal breaker

Could work, or maybe a bag shaper. The space isn’t a whole lot on the inside and I think an organizer would make you lose valuable space inside the bag 😊 but that’s just my opinion and depends also what you’re used to 😊

The coco is still a beautiful bag in my eyes but will never buy it for the reasons you mentioned. The trendy cc could be a better choice except that it's in lambskin which I can't say yes to yet.

I am actually planning to purchase one coco handle mini this week. Your video makes my think if I should buy. Else I am planning to buy Preloved mini rectangular bag. I have CF medium and jumbo and both are fantastic.

The problem with these kind of bags is not their really not meant for work putting all the stuff she put in eventually the bag will sag i personally wouldn't use a chanel bag for work and if i did it probably wouldn't be a top handle or classic a tote would be the best option in my opinion. There are minor things that she pointed out that would be annoying for example the lifting on the edges there not sure why that would happen.
Very informative, I was debating on getting this bag but will probably stay clear of it for now. Quick question - where did you get your long wallet? I have been looking for one where I wouldn't have to fold my bills.
If you’re thinking of the coco handle and have the funds for it buy it before the price increases coz I think this is one of the few bags without price increase yet! 😂 the long wallet is a Chanel piece that’s part of a set which has a clutch then 2 inserts. Kind of like the Louis Vuitton felicie 😊

I love your Video! The coco handle is my absolute favorite bag. I must agree with all your con, but to me it's not that bad.. I had such a hard time finally getting my coco handle and I love it so much, actually more than a Flap bag! 🥺 and I totally agree the old gold looks really old, it seems like you got it out alot or even got it pree loved but I think the handle in redish colour makes the bag look faded

Great detailed review! I did an unboxing video of 2 mini coco handles on my UA-cam chanel (I have one only now). And so far, mines don't seem to have much of a problem with sagging as the small size I've seen. I also find the stiff handle a little irritating when opening.... I have to move it a little away from my body to open when wearing it. I also wish that they made the strap a little longer for the mini so that I can wear it crossbody. Thanks for such an detailed review! I find this kind of reviews much more useful than just an unboxing and haul videos. ❤️

I just recently purchase my first ever Chanel, classic flap and fall in love, and literally thinking of collecting EVERY chanel bag haha! but the medium flap is a little (too) small for my life! and consider to purchase a bigger size, i don't know about jumbo(personally, medium size for cf is the best size after all) so I want to purchase another classic flap with different colour(maybe) but still in medium size, next. or getting a bigger size with other options chanel has, and my heart skip a bit to the Coco handle, but I don't know Coco flaw's at all until watching ur video. Oh dear, if only the trendy cc handle is swapped to the coco handle instead, because in terms of the classic "feel" and touch, coco handle wins my heart. only if it dig to the crock of my arms that is not good at all. I bought this preloved and due to the handle being in the handle, I use it for work mostly since I don’t need to constantly open it and when I do, the handle doesn’t get in the way.

I watched this vid before buying my cch. I believe it depends on the size, I've bought size small and it's the perfect size for me. It doesn't show sagging compared to medium. It's too cute not to add in my collection.

My jumbo classic flap flies away too hence I had to change it 4 times until I got it perfect. They are saying it's handmade etc hence the fly away lol

I have this bag in a taupe color and positively LOVE IT! I purchase my bags to use so yes they do not look new forever. I don't believe this bag is attractive used as a body bag.
It's a Classic ladylike handbag.
You seem to be happier when your bags are rigid in the bottom.
There are other styles that will do just that. Enjoy.

Interesting review. I bought the same bag but in mini, chevron and shiny gold hardware. I feel you'd have more luck with the mini because its much more structured and the shiny hardware is a lot better. I saw new larger bags in store that were looking saggy.
Have you had any issues with the gold fading or chipping on your coco handle? I’m still thinking of the mini but haven’t really been too crazy about all the quality issues with Chanel bags recently. 😊
Erica by Design I have the shiny gold, I know the aged gold is meant to patina but I think it looks terrible. The shiny one doesn’t chip. I feel that we are too obsessed with perfection due to social media, a lot like our own bodies, we try and attain a level that really isn’t achievable. Unless the bags are factory made, there’s no chance of full perfection, variation exists due to the nature of the product.
I am wondering if the mini size would reduce the sag ?

@@EricabyDesign haha go get it. Maybe is not as fussy. I wanted the rectangular Mini in Caviar but that is not possible anymore in store and the chain for me is quite long for that and don't fit much as compared to this I supposed. For the top handle, maybe you can wrap a twilly on it if you want to avoid the bruises on the crook of your arm and also the same time can protect the handle. You can remove the twilly when you are not using it to let the leather breath. That's my thought if it helps.
Shana Nick thank you! Usually I love top handle bags. But it’s only this one that I really didn’t like so much coz I find the top handle doesn’t feel sturdy. I think the mini size you can’t carry by the top handle coz the drop is too small so the digging is no longer an issue. The Chanel rectangular mini is so pretty though! 😍 but yeah hard to find. Consider also the reissue in the mini size. Super pretty and practical as well! 😍
