  • Male superheroes have always dominated the game, once in a while, a female superhero beats the villains with as much power, and sometimes more than any of her male counterparts. This is why it is always interesting to see an alternate female version of a traditionally male superhero. Some of the female alternate versions are badass enough to give the original versions justice, but at other times, they are poorly written and seem lackluster and pale in comparison to their original counterparts, leading to the question of why an alternative version was even created in the first place. But in either case, these superheroines are extremely fun to watch and learn about, as they usually have interesting and intricate backstories and as all heroes do, manage to defeat the evil bad guy in the very end. Female superheroes were far more powerful in many respects than their men equivalents; ironically, they could manage their emotions and egos, possessed transformational powers that defined them, or simply outperformed them. Let's take a look at some of the estrogen injections that gave female superheroes superpowers!

Imagine a Male Version of MCU Scarlet Witch (called Scarlet Warlock) vs. a Male Adam Harkness and an all-Female Fantastic Four (Ms. Fantastic, Lady Flame, and Stone Beauty) vs. a all-Male Fantastic Four (Invisible Man) parallel Reverse Fight/Battle!

X-23 can regrow amputated limbs. In the 2011 run of X-Force Laura is captured by The Facility in issue 17 and has her left amputated by chainsaw by her handler Kimura. In issue 20 she cuts her claws out of left arm and destroys the arm before escaping. By issue 21 she has regrown her left arm and had the adamantium claws surgically implanted in the new arm.

Jessica Drew can be used in the MCU, but the name Spider-Woman and the costume's rights are owned by Sony.

Basically, when a woman can't be popular on her own, she can just take the identity of an already established character who is popular and everyone will like her. Look how well it worked for Batwoman, Supergirl and Dr. Who. Almost a million people watched their shows

I don't agree with your inclusion of Batwoman and Supergirl in your rant. Those are fleshed out characters that have existed for decades and were not made for pandering reasons or brownie points like a lot of modern gender swapped characters are. Characters that are an alternative version of another character (be it gender, race, morality, etc.) is nothing new and is not inherently a bad thing. The issue is how well those characters are written, which a lot of writers today seem to struggle with. Suggesting Batwoman and Supergirl is on the same level as the recent Dr. Who is just wrong.

I get what you mean, but a lot of female characters are also already established. Women say punisher is way too violent for killing criminals, but have a female with the skull on her chest will be praised for blowing a criminals (Man) head off with a shotgun. Double Standards.

The one on the list that really pissed me off was turning Electra into daredevil.
She was already a badass without being turned into a gimmick, and her methods are so contrary to daredevil that while an absolute badass, she does not deserve to wear the cowl

I have loved Spider Woman ever since I saw her cartoon series in 1979. Long before there was ever a discussion of how strong a female character should be, and what stereotypical tropes should be challenged, this Spider Woman did it all! She saved the day, and sometimes the world, all by herself. If she got captured, she busted herself out; if she got hypnotized, she snapped herself out; if she got mutated, she found and concocted the antidote all on her own; heck, even when her male partner has the chance to save her, he misses, and she saves herself! My #1 favorite animated female character of all time!

Thor Girl is a very different character, one who may actually be more powerful than Thor. The Jane Foster version is just "Thor" and, again, is not the same as Thor Girl.

There have been at least 2 female Robin characters. One was during Tim Drake's run as the boy wonder, and it was his girlfriend Spoiler.
Kelly was a Robin in an alternate time line.

How are we judging "success" and what's a "huge hit"? TV shows that no one watched, comic books no one read... These characters aren't doing well nowadays at all, and haven't been for a very long time.

It’s because of them not being well written, and I think extreme feminists have a hand it in which makes it worse. These women can be good on their own, just as long as it’s not ruined with feminism 🤷🏽‍♂️
