I was wondering how it was going to look and perform on the Switch, but this looks fantastic!
The side scrolling gameplay just makes sense on the switch as well . Picking this one up on switch instead of series x or ps5.
That's probably because this game was built with the switch in mind first, making it easy for all consoles to run it in optimal condition.
Already thought this game looked great, and now I think it looks amazing.

It looks pretty good. Definitely gives me Metroid vibes after we had Metroid Dread. Definitely going to be picking this up.
It doesn’t even come close to the quality of the Metroid dread visuals / aesthetic.
I've been a huge fan of the Prince of Persia games since the Sands of Time trilogy and I couldn't even begin to describe how excited I am that they're bringing the franchise back and building it on my favorite gaming genre. Just WOW. This is 100% a preorder for me

I was instantly reminded of Dread when this was first announced, and it intrigued me. After this, I’m 100% sold on it. Even the map looks like it’s from Dread. I hope more games take inspiration from Dread like this. Castlevania in Dread style next please!

I don’t care what people say about Ubisoft, I love them as a developer wether they make there open world same same games or Mario rabbids games. This looks epic and a must have for me.
@@tommythornton470 Mario and Rabbids is probably better quality because Nintendo would chew them out if it wasn't. lol I do love it though. Even got the dlc for it.
I’m interested, but since it’s on other systems I will avoid I’m trying to get games that are switch exclusives.

This remind me of games like Ori,Metroid and Castlevania which are good games if you like this style of games.

It's funny because I'm expecting this like a evolution of 2D Prince of Persia instead of 3D :D
The design of the character is horrible. Hair, earrings and the choice to have no shirt on are absurd.
Thanks Zion! I played the demo at PAX AU and preordered it the next day. This video has pretty much cemented this decision instead of a last minute cancellation when the review embargo is lifted.

Such a beautiful game. Just played the demo on my switch OLED and it’s AWESOME. Docked looks great too. I remember the original back in the day. Great game then and now. And a great review! Though I have a PS5 and a XBox Series S, I’ll choose the switch version because I want to play on the go, and btw, looks great on my gf’s switch lite, too. Finally a game release that is well polished out of the gate and will only get better with patches.
The sands of time was amazing to me mainly because it nailed 3 main things. Storytelling that felt natural and engaging, combat that felt intelligent you couldn’t just mash your way through every fight and the number of fights were well distributed you weren’t constantly running into enemies, and lastly traversal and movement. Entering a room from the top and having to find a way to safely descend was so refreshing and satisfying and the different ways you had to wall run and grab and cling to things made movement feel like a puzzle. So if this new game has those 3 elements I’m definitely excited
Honestly this looks really cool, similar in style to immortals, which I also loved. Big PoP fan, so looking forward to this game x
Seems like soooo many games that are coming out are metroidvanias. The back tracking gets tiring after a while.
Except Moon Studios which seems to go from Ori to Diablo type of game.

This game and Tales of Kenzera look like they where taking notes from Metroid Dread in terms of movement fluidity.
I hope Tales of Kenzera works well on Switch too.

This looks great! Looks like s very fun metroidvania game. I hope the clicking pics and marking location feature lets you add plenty cause thats such a cool thing! Also hope they'll add a way to make travelling easier as you progress, like teleportes or something like, like how you turn into a bat in castlevania so you feel stronger as game progresses.

Never played Prince of Persia but loved Metroid Dread so seeing the similarities has me sold. Also love seeing the ethnic representation! Looking forward to the release!

I've never played prince of persia before, though back in the 90's at the videotron rental store I used to see the game box for the snes. This game looks a cross between Castlevania's mirror of fate and metroid dread, both made by mercury steam. This'll be a day 1 buy for me.

This is amazing reminds me of the pop forgotten sands psp version.
Not a fan of the approachable settings options. We need games to go back to 1 set tailored difficulty. 1 balanced and tweaked design. These options make me feel like none of it will feel balanced and well designed.
Not having enough time in a day for a game shouldn't compromise the game for the player. Find the time for the game and then delve into it.
It need not be so serious lol. They can create the "ideal" difficulty (normal) and the "easy" option simply "decreases life" and "increases your damage." It just makes it easier for casual gamers. That's it. They should strive for a main tailored difficulty, balanced and tweaked, and then a journalist mode that nerfs after the fact.

It looks good, no doubt. But $50 is a bit steep for something like this. Especially when there are amazing metroidvanias for much cheaper.

Gameplay seems pretty solid, but I'm worried about the story - what hope can these bodyguards have against a force that was able to capture the Prince?
At least, not without supplanting the Prince as the strongest character in the series' lore, anyway...

I expect a min of 40 hours as a base and 80+ as standard.
