To see your son happy with what looks like good self esteem is enjoyable, he is very lucky to have this healthy positive environment growing up
I agree with you MASH MASH. My father was verbally as well as physically abusive as well. I can relate how this has affected me as well. I've grown since, but I chose to forgive my father and moved on. I agree with what you mentioned with Ralphie. He seems like a great young kid and will take what he has learned (and still learning) and will apply it to other aspects in life positively. Have a good evening and rest of your week!

Love your channel. I’m restoring a 52 Ford 1 ton (F3) that my grandad bought new for his building business. I have many great memories of me and my brothers piling into that with my dad and going to help him at his Christmas tree farm. I managed to get the truck back and am in the tear down phase. That tool tray behind the seat is actually factory and it looks like your truck was painted the same color as my grandad’s the color was called Glenmist Green. Mine has the flathead v8 and heavier axles etc but love that signature grille. I found out the “teeth” in the grill are called dagmars and I think they make that truck look really tough! God Bless you and your family.
I'm a 70 year old woman, sold Mopar for 35years and I just love your videos. Stayed up half the night waiting for that Fairmont to turn over. Your wife is beautiful, your whole family is.

You’re going to have to give me a few days to watch this. The only truck I remember growing up was my grandfather’s ‘53 Ford. It was the truck I learned to drive. It was the truck o fed the cattle with and took when I went fishing. It was the truck I hauled hay with and took to town to get groceries. It was his truck and I have been looking for one fir years. Yea, give me a few days.
I learned to drive in our 1947 Ford pickup back in 1955 when I was Ralphie's age. Driving down the backroad's of western Maine was where is was at. Boating , fishing and driving to the lake was Heaven for a young lad such as me.
I was born the same the actor Tom Hanks. July 9th 1956. Finally one that`s older than me! From Gene near Union,SC way out in the country. Tom and me are 65.
I can not believe your wife used the "T" word instead of casings in front of the kids. You have a great family. For the age of the truck it is a solid truck. Glad that Austin got to help. I would say the sparks are coming from the carbon being burned off. Looks like a fun little project
As usual, another awesome video! I really enjoy your channel. An appreciate the fact that you help other people and enjoy the children being involved an your wife and all the animals. Just a all around a great UA-cam channel. Probably one of the top 10 on UA-cam. Basically because it pretty much can get almost everybody in the family involved in watching your channel. Keep up the awesome work. I always look forward to your next video. Keep On Keeping On! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My Dad had a 55. This video brings back some great memories of sitting on the Tail gate holding on to the chain while going down the road He painted it by brush A fire engine red. He sold it in 1977 To a friend who still has it today. . Lots of firewood hauled in that truck.
Josh, back when these 6 volt systems were common, you could buy an 8 volt battery which really helped with starting. You could adjust the generator output and all was well. Check it out……
Such an awesome family. I enjoy watching how your family interacts and seemingly enjoys working on vehicles together. I would have given an arm (almost/maybe.....not) to be able to share similar moments with my family. My father didn't have patience nor knowledge to share with me and my wife despises my project vehicles because I went about it wrong. I tried to get her motivated on a Plymouth Duster one time to no avail. I bought a 72 duster and dropped in a date coded 360 with factory J heads, but she didn't like to get sweaty or dirty. But, she at least knows how to change a tire as well as oil change on her car/suv. Good times, thanks for sharing video.....and nice F1.
Thank you so much, all of you,for sharing your family love with us strangers...bro,you are a kind and fortunate man,to have the love that your woman and children show for you...blessed to have found your channel,xc,the old goat frm new zealand...
that was a great video Josh. you got the old Ford truck running and it sounds great. your Family again is amazing and there are no words to describe how everyone gets along and works together. and of course the exotic animals are unbelievable as usual. and I have to mention one last thing Josh, that backround music get me every time. I love it, till next time ✌
I laughed so much at this video. I had to tell everyone at work about it and had them watch it to. Love that the kids and your wife are involved in your shenanagins and the wife chasing the white car to put a scotch under the wheel to stop while you were practically trying to jump in was absolutely hilarious. Love y’all’s videos.
@@bradzimmerman3171 I had many square bodies, one was totaled at the same time that bogus report on the news came out, mine got hit directly on the tank and poured 20 gallons of fuel out, never blew up. In 1972 I was 14. My dad took me to a farm in Oregon. And in the field among the cow's sat a 52 f1. 6 cylinder 3 speed on tree. We did a light restore. Paint, rebuilt the engine etc. It was to become my first truck. The at 17, I was tboned. Totaled it. Put my head through back window too. Lol
That is a really nice F1 Pickup. Never saw one in that great of shape being all original and to get the original engine running again. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

On building that carburetor, and you have a hole that stripped out, there is an old trick that works every time. If the hole is 1/4, 5/16, or 3/8 = take a zip tie, or you can use a zip-tie clipping, set that Down in the Hole. Now run your screw in. Just as it starting to tighten, clip it off with a razor blade. Now snug down the rest of the way. Now on the smaller screws, I'll just cut a zip tie clipping in half, it works good.
My good friend and I put my late grandfathers old 60 F100 back on the road back in 2018 on his gravel driveway. Its a surreal feeling hearing a truck that was a part of the family roar back to life. That kids ear to ear grin proved that :-)
Awesome 52 Ford! The engine sounds good. I'm wondering if the fuel line could be re-threaded. I can imagine those threads are really small, but it might be worth looking into a tap set that can do it. I hope the family decides to restore it eventually, it would be completely worth it. Thanks for sharing! 😎
That's a good idea except those old carburetors I think are made of some kind of pot metal that wouldn't take well to re-threading (or drilling larger and re-threading). Fortunately those old carbs are easily available, including the glass bowl part if one got busted.
You. Guys are wonderful. I love watching your video's. The 1952 f 1 brings back good memories to me .my dad and grandpa both had one .that is my first truck I learned to drive. Dads had a 390 he put in it . Boy would it run .thank you all for sharing. Killbuck Ohio
I see that Ralphie is really growing up. Watching him take the plugs out was a real treat. Thanks for these great videos and learning. See, I grew up with these vehicles. My uncle who farmed had a Ford very close to this. I want to say his was a 51 model. I know the front was shaped much like this one. I remember those round pedal pads.
There's a little black thing with the silver clip that Ralphie smelled that was in the glove box or ash tray that goes to a tank on a toilet it's the part that hooks to the filler tube I believe. What a beautiful truck. And what you are doing for that family is priceless getting this running and road worthy will bring memories back to the front of their minds. Once again keep up the great work! As always looking forward to seeing what you are doing in the next video! 👍
Wow,I would love to have that Truck..it was born the same year as Me...having its 70th Birthday this year. It is in great shape body wise.. Love your channel..love to You,Wife and kiddos...Ralphie is a gem.. So glad you got the old girl started!!
This is a great video, I have a 47 1 ton F-3 sitting in my back yard that my Grand Dad bought new and it still has the original tires on it and it needs just about what you have pulled off here !! Best wishes and prayers to you and yours !!
Priceless. I love those goats. I had nubian goats when I was a boy way back around 1970 and I love them.. The beauty of family has my eyes watering. Keep that boy at home and protect him from the world. May Jesus Christ keep all of you blessed and God bless the animals
Ok, I’m California born and raised. Lived in Hawaii for 8 years. Now been in Saint Louis for nearly 15 years and I still have never heard anyone refer to tires as casings lol. Great channel btw!
Man you're right you'll never find a old truck with less rust!51_52 Ford trucks are my absolute favorite trucks! She runs great you must be pretty stoked about it!!
Now that's my dream truck! Seriously, what a beauty, even in it's current state. Restored, I'd sleep in the bed of it every night. An even rarer find would be a McDonalds with a working ice cream machine.
You have a wonderful family!! Funny you told your wife to watch her language!! I thought were serious at first. You would be the BEST neighbors I bet!! The truck is a Beauty!! And it RUNS!!!!
I've been on vacation in eastern Tennessee several times, such a beautiful place. I'm new to your channel and have watched several of your videos this weekend and have throughly enjoyed them. As a southern boy who is Christian and living in Washington state it is so refreshing to see how y'all are doing an amazing job raising ya'll children. Just amazing work once again! And Ralphies apprenticeship is progressing nicely! Can't wait to see the old truck move down the road! Thank you all for sharing with us!
Pig kisser and the Ford she runs. Hey! You would not believe how bright and shiny that Ford looked new. When I was pretty small my dad bought a new Ford shiny red 52 pickup. I mean when you are 5 years old she looks beautiful. I could not keep it on the road sitting in dad's lap, snow Bank to snow bank.
I love love love your family. you all just crack me up, the way you all joke with each other. if i am having a bad day, i just watch you guy`s, and all is well. may God Bless your family.
Get you a 8 volt battery from tractor supply, cranks faster and won't hurt your 6 volt system. Nice truck man!!! Love how your family interacts, yall doing a fantastic job.
Love the family aspect of your videos! I'm in my 70's and learned 'fixen' cars and trucks from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, old time mechanics were a different breed! Lead foil tape with a set screw would have been the old time fix on the carb body, the modern fix would be JB weld. 1 wrap of Teflon tape for release, then JB weld the fitting in place. Works like a champ.
Not many people out there your age that know what points and distributors are, much less a points file. I bet your Dad or Grandad taught you so much of this. Love it.

@@davida.p.9911 It won't hold for long with that much steel line flexing
As usual great content and entertaining videos. Love that old car's are given new life!
Thank you

The Dodge truck has what's called an "A" series engine. It's the middle step between the "poly" and the "LA" series (270,318,360) engines
Ok thank you
What a great video. Love that old Ford and always a pleasure watching the family working on the cars and trucks together 👍
Thank you
I see that Ralphie is really growing up. Watching him take the plugs out was a real treat. Thanks for these great videos and learning. See, I grew up with these vehicles. My uncle who farmed had a Ford very close to this. I want to say his was a 51 model. I know the front was shaped much like this one. I remember those round pedal pads.
Yes they are neat thank you
we got Sinclare stations here in Oregon, you have a beautiful family.
That’s cool, I did see some in Utah
Great; video on the '52 FORD. We appreciate your family working together!
Thank you
I love the content you guys put out content
Thank you
There's a little black thing with the silver clip that Ralphie smelled that was in the glove box or ash tray that goes to a tank on a toilet it's the part that hooks to the filler tube I believe. What a beautiful truck. And what you are doing for that family is priceless getting this running and road worthy will bring memories back to the front of their minds. Once again keep up the great work! As always looking forward to seeing what you are doing in the next video! 👍

That is such a cool ole truck. I have a 67 Plymouth GTX W 440 Family owned since 68
Wow that’s incredible
Now that's my dream truck! Seriously, what a beauty, even in it's current state. Restored, I'd sleep in the bed of it every night. An even rarer find would be a McDonalds with a working ice cream machine.
Yes I think so too
You have a wonderful family!! Funny you told your wife to watch her language!! I thought were serious at first. You would be the BEST neighbors I bet!! The truck is a Beauty!! And it RUNS!!!!

That’s a great story

That is one sweet F100 I am with you all, fixing it up for the next generation! Sweet ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Get you a 8 volt battery from tractor supply, cranks faster and won't hurt your 6 volt system. Nice truck man!!!
Love how your family interacts, yall doing a fantastic job.
I have saw them there , good idea
Most enjoyable! Thanks for allowing us to see your family, and all of you pitching in for the cranking up!
Thank you
Just got through the 52 ford loved it loved the family envolvement
Thank you
Man he open that bottle like a bad ass
Thank you
Love the family aspect of your videos!
Ok thank you
Cool truck! I like the old 50's fords & chevy's/GMC's. My auntie had a a 1958 ford F-100 back in the day.
That’s cool
Not many people out there your age that know what points and distributors are, much less a points file. I bet your Dad or Grandad taught you so much of this. Love it.
Yes sir
We've had a 52 in the family since the late 70s. I love the 52...had a 54 but ended up selling it and regret it now.
Oh wow
Gotta say it again, another great video. Fun, family, pets, saving another vehicle, and appearance by "little hand".
Thank you
"Piddling With". Definitely a southeast phrase. I love it. Keep it real. I'm fixing to watch the rest of this video.
Ok thank you
