That one cleaned up, real nice. Speaking of Robert Tilton, You're probably too young to remember, but he had a big church in Dallas, Church on Trh Rock, back in the mid '80's.Very good video.
I am an old car guy who never got married or had kids. I found your channel a while back, man you are so blessed. I love the cars but the adventures you get up to with all the family involved are absolutely great to watch, watched the $1200 camper ones back to back. I have been watching Goonzquad for a number of years and their family vibe along with wholesome content was what I liked, they are changing though, becoming money hungry and too slick. You have replaced them as my favourite channel. Keep up the great work and I will keep watching.
@@rsprockets7846 I knew the dash would bolt right up to the Monarch, but thought you'd have to do some "engineering" for a Mustang! Good to know, thanks for the info

I really enjoyed seeing how well this car cleaned up. I used to have a couple of these Fairmonts, I wish I had another one. I like this one a lot and it was great watching your whole family get involved in helping clean it up and making it look better. Keep these awesome videos coming. @@Sleeperdude nice batmobile!!! Love the video man ...just imagine...that car fully loaded was at the most 8k...... Try that these days.... you'll get laughed off the showroom floor
Hey, Sleeperdude, love this car, I hope you go all the way with this one and make her shine again. But that's not why I am commenting. You asked in the video why does Rocky always want to eat cardboard? I can answer this as I have 40+ goats and actually run a goat care group. Rocky is lacking trace minerals. I noticed this a while ago, and Granny goat also lacks copper and Zinc. That reddish hue to their coat is a classic copper deficiency. Many states as well as Canada are deficient in selenium and copper so it's not anyone's fault, just that we need to supplement. Once you give copper you will see a big difference in their coats and shedding process. Sorry man, I couldn't help myself, but I am sure you understand I am only answering your question and answering with the best intentions at heart. I try not to miss an episode, love the cars and the family and your goats.

Those factory V8 Fairmonts and Zephyrs are pretty rare. I grew up in Dearborn when those were new, and didn't see many. I still remember going to the Lincoln Mercury dealer with my mom and dad back in 77 to order a new Zephyr wagon. I kept asking my dad to order the V8 because I would start driving soon. He ordered the straight 6 (200?) because that was right after the time of the OPEC "oil crisis". Warm over that little 302 and that would be a nice air conditioned sleeper, dude. Thanks for posting.

Great video like always man, the Futura cleaned up really well and for a car that was in a swampy environment it held up pretty well. Sure the interior is baked but after the cleanup it's a solid car, and I am excited to see if she will fire up and run alongside the big-block Futura. I'm also hoping that the red brush painted boxtop Fairmont wasn't crushed so fingers cross!

Just love watching you guys get stuff done. Its so satisfying for my OCD. Lol. Some of those cleaners may want you to let it sit for 15 minutes. I'm sure scrubbing bubbles does. And don't forget oven cleaner is also heaven sent. I'll be getting some merch next month. Shot my wad this month on a 73 gmc camper special square body. Just brought it home today. 6 hour round trip. May be asking for advise soon. Lol. Love your whole family. A family that plays together stays together. Bless all y'all!!!
Only need to use some turtle wax on it. It is in better shape then I originally thought? Maybe the 302 will still turn over? The gas cap will may be indicate the concition of the motor. I like 302s though that is what was in my 67 Mustang and it was a pretty good ripper for a kid back in high school in 78. If not send it to the machine shop to have it bored over .10 thousands. And redo the crank and heads and everrything. I love old 302s. LOL the are a great running engine. Replace the intake valves in the heads with 2 inch chevy vavles Im not kidding and it will be very fast. thats what the guy at the machine shop told me the guys at the race track loved to do to them in the seventies and he said they loved them that way.
One of the things I love about your videos is watching your kids grow up and their changing nuances. Reminds me of my kids when they were growing up. I wish I had a sizable piece of land like yours so I could Tinker as much as you do.

I'd be happy to ship you some if you cant get it to try!
That car looks great just as it sits with the black paint and Red pin stripes and the black hoops. Great Family content thank you for sharing. God Bless
I have a couple bottles of that Awesome degreaser it always works really well. Looks like some of those pine needles preserved the paint underneath. That came out really well for not having been cleaned up in 32 years. Good to see everyone helping clean this one up as well. Thanks for the video.
Well that was fun! The car cleaned up rather nice. Who would have thought under all those pine needles there was a decent looking car. Great job family!
I owned a 1978 Ford Fairmont station wagon back in 1989. It was yellow with woodgrain stickers on the side. It had a factory 8 track tape player. The car was totaled in a wreck in 89.
Hi Guys, car turned out nice. I always liked that Ford body style car also. I always heard boxy when people described those cars and don't agree. The mid to late 70's the US car market was in transition and all the car makers were "finding their way". The Fairmont's a nice car. Well powered, nicely optioned and a comfortable ride. 1978 was 44 years ago. Eagles, Boston, Kansas, Rush, Led Zeppelin were popular. Jimmy Carter was president. The world was a different a vastly different place!
That Dollar Tree Awesome soap is awesome stuff. LOL Pun intended! :-P Fun fact. If you have a (lot's) model(s) cars that you painted when you were 12 and now your 68 and want to repaint them. Take all the chrome parts off and take them apart set it in a small tub of Awesome Soap with a bit of water for 2 day or so and all the old paint will fall right off and be as clean as a whistle... Lol Way better than Easy OFF Oven Spray or Break Fluid. Yes I said Break Fluid... :-) Thanks for all the fun videos... God Bless you and your family! LLAP 🖖
I had 2 Fairmonts, both well past their prime, but I liked them so much I rebuilt the engine in the second one. Nice job on yours, you put a lot of effort into it!
Well.......that Fairmont is gonna be a fun to watch you guys work on. "The family that prays together sprays together" nice pressure wash!!!! look at those driving skills Wawa has👍👍👍
Ralphie is sporting that curly hair do and Looking sharp. Love how the whole family including Rocky cleans the whole car. It's not every day that i watch some one clean a car and injoy it.
The Fairlane Futura is one of the best looking cars Ford made in the late 70's in my opinion anyway. I've always wanted one to hot rod. Lots of them were turned into drag cars. I'm jealous. Hope you can get it back on the road.
The Fairmonts were a great car for their time. A new lighter and stronger Fox unibody. Your 2 door coupe Fairmont is loaded up with options!! I hope the engine will rotate! My guess is Fox Mustang floor repair panels will work on the Fairmont with some trimming. Back in the day the 2 door coupe was called the Baby Thunderbird. The entire family did an excellent job cleaning up the car!! You and your wife are awesome role models.
No 4bbl carb available in any Ford car in 1978. I think you could get power windows and locks though. This car is very well equipped and I agree, the color combo is beautiful. I almost bought a new Thunderbird on Halloween 1983 that was black with red pin stripes and gray cloth interior. It even had the moonroof that you could flip up or take out. It had a pouch in the trunk that you would put the glass in when driving without the moonroof. This car is an amazing find.
Great family. I can't wait for the start up. Now you have a major issue. The girls will not leave Ralphie alone now with his curls and great personality.
16,000 views in 3 hours. 92,000 subscribers WOW. I'm blown away. Keep em comin, keep em comin cause I love them ❤🇺🇸🐘P.S. Ralphie is really getting the hang of things. Man did you see him peeling that rust off that bumper. Man he was on it. Go Ralphie❤
I had a 78 and an 81 Fairmont Futura. The 78 was a six cylinder and the 82 was a 255 V8. The V8s never came with a 4 barrel carb from the factory. Love the roofline on those cars. Ford used to make an upholstery cleaner called Triple Clean. It had a brush on the top of the bottle. That stuff was the bomb and cleaned up those grimy body sweat stained arm rests like nothing else.
I really enjoyed the video. You certainly got the whole family involved in the clean up. I like to see these old Fairmonts. I remember riding in one way back in 1980. A friend's Dad used to drive us to Civil Air Patrol meetings in one. It was a green 4-door with a 4-cylinder engine. I wouldn't mind having one now to work on and restore. Finding one up here in the rust-belt (PA) would probably be a challenge.
I came across your channel cuz I'm researching Van life and saw your $1200 RV. Now I'm hooked on your channel. I love the whole family gets involved even Rocky....lol
I really appreciate your ability to find these diamonds in the absolute rough Great Work I was a teenager when the ‘77 thunderbird came out - always loved that “wrap-over roof line” that showed up the next year on the fairmont futura Great Find on an under appreciated Fox
I'd be really pumped to see that engine get a nice 4bbl intake with a nice aftermarket 4bbl carb. It's clearly a smog engine, so it'll be gutless no matter what, but a 2bbl to 4bbl swap definitely wouldn't hurt. You ALWAYS got the hookups though. I've been dying to get my hands on a cool old domestic and they're impossible to find like that around Pittsburgh. They're either completely restored, completely picked through for parts, completely ridiculously expensive, or completely rusted.
I’m so happy. Yesterday I actually drove my dads 1969 amx and this car hasn’t been driven since 1996 and been in our barn since before I was born.
That’s awesome

Yes it did have a vinyl top you are correct
That car is totally a different car. And yes cleaned up well . Another team effort. Everyone pitched in. Thank you for sharing!
The sweetest and kindest family I’ve seen in a very long time.
Thank you
79' Zephyr fast back, baby blue white vinyl half top my first ride.
I saw those tail lights and knew the car immediately👍
GF had the Fairmont you found same interior and color.
We had communion in the back of those all right! Minus the lil cups 😉
Thanks for the walk down memory lane 👍
Thanks for watching
I Love old Square body cars .That 1 could make a cool cruiser for someone.I Love to watch your family work together on your projects.Keep them coming you all
Thank you
Just love watching you guys get stuff done.
That’s awesome. ..
Yeah maybe so
One of the things I love about your videos is watching your kids grow up and their changing nuances. Reminds me of my kids when they were growing up. I wish I had a sizable piece of land like yours so I could Tinker as much as you do.
That’s great glad you enjoy it
Dude, I bought a 79 futura from my neighbor as a 15 year old. I still remember how I felt bringing it home and cleaning it up. Loved that car! Great video and thanks for sharing!
So cool! Thank you
@@Sleeperdude I actually traded off the Furura for a 73 dodge charger 😳
The kids are a great help and trainable. That ride came out great.
Great job guys. I bought one new in 1981. Great memory.
Awesome thanks
Love that Fairmont, Brings back memories, Had an identical one back in the day, Nice project, beautiful shape.
Thank you
New project and the help of the family, priceless.
Dunno how available they are over there but here in aus i use Wurth Interior cleaner, its in an Aerosol can, Foams up and bubbles and gets right into it all, gentle wipe off with an microfibre. if its available over there you'd be surprised how amazing it is. I'd be happy to ship you some if you cant get it to try!
One thing I took away from the lockdiwns in 2020 are ALOT of car restoration/RV channels. Keep the content going, love it!
Thanks so much
a great...loving family...this is therapy for many of us...thank you...
Thanks for watching
That car looks great just as it sits with the black paint and Red pin stripes and the black hoops. Great Family content thank you for sharing.
God Bless
Thank you
Backing up a trailer takes a lot of practice,.
Remember, very slight corrections, and turn opposite direction that you want the trailer to go .
Yes thank you
Just wanna let you know awesome works on everything even carpet from the dollar tree
That’s good to know
That intake manifold in the trunk looked like a 1968 big block Chrysler one . Enjoying the clean up videos. Nice family
Thank you
Reminds me when I was a kid my father would drag an old car home and we would spend the day just cleaning. Fun times. Enjoyed the video.
That’s great
I have a couple bottles of that Awesome degreaser it always works really well. Looks like some of those pine needles preserved the paint underneath. That came out really well for not having been cleaned up in 32 years. Good to see everyone helping clean this one up as well. Thanks for the video.
Yes for sure
Sleeperdude - you and yours did an awesome job of cleaning up that old Ford! Your videos are very entertaining, too.
Well that was fun! The car cleaned up rather nice. Who would have thought under all those pine needles there was a decent looking car. Great job family!
Yeah not bad
I owned a 1978 Ford Fairmont station wagon back in 1989. It was yellow with woodgrain stickers on the side. It had a factory 8 track tape player. The car was totaled in a wreck in 89.
That’s cool
Hi Guys, car turned out nice. I always liked that Ford body style car also. I always heard boxy when people described those cars and don't agree. The mid to late 70's the US car market was in transition and all the car makers were "finding their way". The Fairmont's a nice car. Well powered, nicely optioned and a comfortable ride. 1978 was 44 years ago. Eagles, Boston, Kansas, Rush, Led Zeppelin were popular. Jimmy Carter was president. The world was a different a vastly different place!
Yes!!!!
‘Lil Fairmont cleaned up well! That Tough Stuff is great! I use it!
Y’all are great, love the Family participation and Rocky helping/ eating too… 😁
Thank you yeah it works good
I could not believe how well this car cleaned up. I really thought it was going to be a rusted mess. Way to go kids, you did great.
That Dollar Tree Awesome soap is awesome stuff. LOL
Pun intended! :-P
Fun fact. Lol
Way better than Easy OFF Oven Spray or Break Fluid. Yes I said Break Fluid... :-)
Thanks for all the fun videos...
God Bless you and your family!
LLAP 🖖
Good tip thank you
I had 2 Fairmonts, both well past their prime, but I liked them so much I rebuilt the engine in the second one. Nice job on yours, you put a lot of effort into it!
Awesome thank you
Well.......that Fairmont is gonna be a fun to watch you guys work on.
Thank you
I love this channel coz they are very nice family friendly people 😊 ❤️
God bless your family and you deserve all the best
Thank you so much
The Fairlane Futura is one of the best looking cars Ford made in the late 70's in my opinion anyway. I've always wanted one to hot rod. Lots of them were turned into drag cars. I'm jealous. Hope you can get it back on the road.
Yes me too thanks
The Fairmonts were a great car for their time. A new lighter and stronger Fox unibody. Your 2 door coupe Fairmont is loaded up with options!! I hope the engine will rotate! My guess is Fox Mustang floor repair panels will work on the Fairmont with some trimming. Back in the day the 2 door coupe was called the Baby Thunderbird. The entire family did an excellent job cleaning up the car!! You and your wife are awesome role models.
Thank you
No 4bbl carb available in any Ford car in 1978.
That’s awesome
Great family. I can't wait for the start up. Now you have a major issue. The girls will not leave Ralphie alone now with his curls and great personality.
He loves his new hair
16,000 views in 3 hours. 92,000 subscribers WOW. I'm blown away. Keep em comin, keep em comin cause I love them ❤🇺🇸🐘P.S. Ralphie is really getting the hang of things. Man did you see him peeling that rust off that bumper. Man he was on it. Go Ralphie❤
Thank you
I had a 78 and an 81 Fairmont Futura.
That’s awesome
She cleaned up nice love the color it looks great now to get her running
Thank you that’s next
I really enjoyed the video. You certainly got the whole family involved in the clean up. I like to see these old Fairmonts. I remember riding in one way back in 1980. A friend's Dad used to drive us to Civil Air Patrol meetings in one. It was a green 4-door with a 4-cylinder engine. I wouldn't mind having one now to work on and restore. Finding one up here in the rust-belt (PA) would probably be a challenge.
It's nice to hear someone from Tennessee on UA-cam. Sounds like they are extended family. We are in NC.
That’s awesome neighbor
I came across your channel cuz I'm researching Van life and saw your $1200 RV. Now I'm hooked on your channel. I love the whole family gets involved even Rocky....lol
Thank you glad you found us !!!
I really appreciate your ability to find these diamonds in the absolute rough Great Work
I was a teenager when the ‘77 thunderbird came out - always loved that “wrap-over roof line” that showed up the next year on the fairmont futura
Great Find on an under appreciated Fox
"The Big Juan!" I remember those from the Del Taco days. I miss the Del Taco in Athens. Love the videos so keep em' comin'!
What we had one in Athens ???? No way ..
