I've used Stansted airport around 40 times with Ryanair. Never really had any problems at the airport, even if there is a queue it's normally moving, even through security. I do agree about the long waits at passport control, especially if 2 or 3 flights come in at the same time. With Ryanair, turbulence avoidance is an extra €10 payable when booking 🤭🤭 But seriously, Ryanair have always got me to my destination in one piece and on time. Yes, they are not British Airways Business Class, but you get what you pay for, a seat, a bog if you need it, and a bit of nosh if you forget to buy a sarny before you fly. I really don't understand why some folks whinge about flying on a 'budget' airline, if you want premium service, get your hand in your pocket and pay for it!
@@TheTonytiger89 If 2 or 3 flights land at the same time, then yes there can be quite a queue to go through the border gates, but I've only had really long lines a couple of times. Normally they whip you through pretty quickly.
My worst experience with turbulence was when flying back from the states, halfway across the Atlantic all the plane lights went out and the seatbelt warning came on. I compared it to one of those rides at Alton Towers, Tim. 😅
We were over 2 hours late with our flight arriving at almost 2am but Avis car hire stayed open for our flight coming in. We were so grateful 🙏🏼. Great service from them.
You crack me up, I was starting to think you were going to walk all the way from start to finish. How you keep it together I'll never know. Really happy you arrived safe and sound, I would have completely lost it at the airport both with the delay and subsequently not being able to get the hire car, been there done that and it wasn't good. Can't wait for Sunday.
Loved the fact he called everyone lazy for using the escalator going up and not the stairs at the airport but then got in a lift for just ONE floor DOWN at the hotel in Ibiza. 😂 As always, great vid but with added turbulence footage treat👍
Watching your frightening experience from the comfort of being on the ground. Never forget a flight back from Sacramento to Chicago. I'd been watching for a few days the progress of some thunderstorms, forecast to be directly on the route. Absolutely terrifying. My young niece thought it was great fun. Love your videos, keep up the good work.
I remember back in 2016 I went on a United Airlines flight from Heathrow to New York and about 2 hours into the flight out of nowhere the fasten seatbelt sign turned on and the plane shaked so voilently to the point I thought an explosion had gone off.

This is the first travel video of yours that has made me not only not want to use a hotel but also avoid an entire region. I actually felt sorry for you during this ordeal…….
Heck Tim you looked scared during the Turbulence Scene! Must of been rough especially with it being dark aswell. You had a stressful journey to Ibiza this time with all the waiting you had to do for a Taxi to get you to your Destination & your Hotel! I'm sure I'd never make it travelling abroad on my own. It's not easy! The Hotel looks quite nice on arrival. Tho the corridors do look like a Hospital. Room basic but functional I guess for a night or two!.
Luckily we’ve mainly avoided bad turbulence except for once on the way to Greece when the hostesses ran down the aisle with a black bin bag and the cabin announcer instructed passengers to deposit all drinks, hot or cold, into the sack. Those complaining about giving up their recently purchased lagers soon understood why the captain made the request! That wasn’t the worst aspect of the flight, but that’s a story for another day 🤣
We flew Ryanair on the BH Friday 2weeks back…Had a 3pm flight from stansted. Arrived 3hours early as was told how bad all the Qs were being half term week..Got in terminal, checked cases in 2min wait, then security not fast track took less than 10, so had 3 hours to kill, the worst Q was for weatherspoon, over an 1hr to get in…Apart from that all ran smoothly.

Turbulence is the worst. We experienced it coming back on a flight from Egypt, was thrown around for over 2 hours. I've not flown since but hope one day to overcome my nervousness!
During half term, we (me & my 13 year old daughter) flew from Bristol to Dalaman (Turkey) with Tui, the queues were absolutely insane, starting at arrivals & snaking all the way down the airport to departures, we ended up delayed by over 3 hours, but still had an amazing holiday despite the rough start. On return I claimed compensation for the delay & have already been awarded £700 by Tui, which was over half the cost of the holiday... I actually think Tui have done very well to own up to their recent issues, & compensate effected passengers where necessary. Tui airport staff & flight crews were amazing & they have been very apologetic since. I'm already planning a solo trip to Greece with the money, probably with Tui again! Result!!.. 😃
Flew from Stansted last night no issues my flight with jet2 nice and early on time and went to my gate early passengers free You got bit unlucky with Ryanair this time what I loved about you're video is how you put it all together good edits was crazy flight lol for u.
I honestly cant stand these kinda travelling days- everything is uncomfortable and slow and delayed.. Thanks Tim for powering through and delivering great vids.
The best advice I had for traveling was to never book flights that leave late in the day. You are more likely to be delayed and every flight we have booked that has left from 18.00 for the past 25 years has been delayed!
My ever first flight aged 39 was to Ibiza , and a horrific flight , there and on way home even worse, never been on a plane since , the misses goes with her Daughter now to various places on planes ,, She says it’s the worst flight she’s ever had , and she has flown many times ,,, cheers shane uk 🇬🇧
The second hand anxiety I felt watching this reminded me why I holiday in the uk lol 😂 just don’t think I could cope with an airport and I definitely couldn’t handle the turbulence.
Don't worry! A great flight would be from Bristol, Newquay or Cornwall to somwhere in Spain! Small airports and turbulence is extremely rare, my cousin has flew for Ryanair for over 9000 hours, only experienced turbulence about 15-20 times!
That turbulence would scare me and i’d be a nervous wreck by the time I landed. I know i’m getting old but that noise was annoying even though I know people are excited about getting there too loud
I used to be terrified of turbulence, but I studied it extensively.Planes are tested, where they bend the wings to the breaking point. In the US they fly planes into hurricanes to take measurements. So I don’t like turbulence, but there’s no reason to be overly frightened. I just think of it as going down a bumpy road in a truck.🛻
my advice is to take a empty bottle through security and fill up the bottle from the filtered water dispenser the other side of security. (outsside the bathroom) beats paying £1.39 for water. and i cant tell the differance?
Hello Tim,what a brilliant video, great view from the plane,I wouldn't be happy about the turbulence though lol,the hotel room is acceptable for what it is,can't wait for part 2.
Worst turbulence I ever had was Heathrow to JFK, just over Boston. Hit a massive patch of turbulence. Drinks flying, stuff coming out of the overhead cabins, people vomiting. It was hell!
JFK to Heathrow in Feb with an unusually strong jetstream. We experienced turbulence that the captain described as some of the worst he had ever experienced. Zero G and dodging all manor of items flying about the cabin. However, turns out that it broke the record for fastest flight after completing in 5h 11 mins.

That turbulence did not sound fun at all! The worst I had was flying back from Venice age 17 during a thunderstorm. They had to stop the trolley service and seat belt sign was on most of the flight. I’ve only recently overcome my fear of flying following that and I’m 36 now! I think that taxi queue would probably annoy me more now 😂! How long did you wait in the end?

I hate flying but I can just about control myself on a flight if its all going smoothly. On the way back to Edinburgh from Malaga a few years ago I was on a flight that hit some minor turbulence about half way. I was white knuckling the arm rests with my eyes tightly shut until it sort of calmed down about 3 mins later xD I could see people were trying not to giggle at me and I was def the most scared in any of the seats near me, everyone else seemed like it was totally normal. When we came in to land an hour or so later in Edinburgh, the winds really picked up to the point where the people around me that were not even slightly phased by the turbulence earlier were clearly panicking. We were coming in to land and the whole plane was shaking like mad, the person I was next to even threw up. I was just totally blank, I had already been stressing for 3 or 4 hours and it honestly felt like it was the end and my fears were justified and I just checked out xD As it turns out, it was just strong cross winds and the pilot stuck the landing like an absolute boss, in fact the actual landing was about as smooth as it gets but the cabin was def traumatised. I felt like standing up and shouting "SEE!! ITS FUCKING SCARY NOW INS'T IT?"
No one should think it funny that someone is scared etc... I'd love to takes these smartarses up in a cradle with me, 170 feet in the air on the outside of a building, on a windy day...and then see if they were laughing 😡

These Ibiza hotels have the air con rigged to the terrace door, I had a roommate in a room in a hotel in the party side of the island that wouldn’t turn off the air con. So I figured out if you had the terrace door even slightly open, without appearing opened, the air con would shut off. Drove him mad but at least I didn’t have the air blasting me in the back as I slept.
Which Hotel/Hostel did you stay in? Next time you go, I recommend Reco Des Sol for families and Hostel Florencio for singles or couples. Both in San Antonio.
Have you been to Asia…? We stopped in staff quarters once which were based in a garage with a cold water hosepipe! I’d say the hotel you’re at is pretty ok!! Especially for the price!
Top tip for turbulence, pretend it is a roller coaster! Makes it much more enjoyable and fun😂 The drink that was spilled on you oh my god i would have cried
Also Goldcar in spain is the ryanair of car rental. They seem cheap but will land you with so many extras, like compulsory fuel purchases, crazy insurance costs etc.. and of course.. your flight is 10 minutes late and you have a car booked!?? Well we're going home byeee sort yourself! Then again that is just such a spanish thing to do. I remember flying to the UK once and had a massive delay and the car rental companies stayed open because they knew they had bookings on the flights.
Nice style of presenting and viewing numbers clearly excellent......As for turbulence that was mild lol....when you've bounced off the ceiling of the cabin on Cathay Pacific that was heavy turbulence lol....have subscribed as easy watching videos
If you ever come to Cape Town on British Airways flight BA 059, what ever arrival time they give it is not right. It is the flight most tour guides will happily pass on to another guide
We had some bad turbulence landing back in Manchester a few months ago in a thunderstorm. I'm terrified of flying anyway, but it felt like we dropped 30ft 🤢
Sorry I couldn't make the premiere Tim. Just caught up on big screen, so don't envy you that flight, not sure what's worse, turbulence or rowdy passengers 🤣 Stanstead looks good though, never flown from there. If the taxi driver was manic, give the ones in New York a try, whole new level of manic! If you're still there, safe flight home
Well, that flight looked interesting! We decided not to fly this year because of all the issues at airports and we are staying in a eurocamp in Holland for about half the price of a haven type place in the U.K.! Interesting hotel - those beds did didn’t look comfortable!
Oh my goodness - the turbulence on that flight sounds insane, made no easier by the fact you're on a plane of Ibiza clubbers by the sounds of it, haha!
Flew to Tenerife..4 hours...cooped in to my seat...with Ryan Air. I was going truly mental by the end. Will hopefully never have to fly with them ever again.
Worst turbulence on Ryanair way back from Majorca over the Pyrenees as the winds sweep up the mountain range into the flight paths. That was sat at the back of the plane so I always sit in between the wings now as more stable and you don't feel the bumps as much!
@@abigailparsons3202 This was an afternoon flight in October, before take-off the pilot warned there were going to be 'a few bumps', I'd advise a stiff drink if they say that as it seems to be a gentle way of indicating moderate turbulence. If nothing's announced I wouldn't worry!

I thought I did
@@WalkWithMeTim I didn't catch it if you did.
Have you been to Asia…? We stopped in staff quarters once which were based in a garage with a cold water hosepipe! I’d say the hotel you’re at is pretty ok!! Especially for the price!
6:00 So you have something to put all the duty free purchases in, I suppose?
I used those exact check-in desks @3:23 (desks 501) for a flight two weeks ago to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines / AnadoluJet
wow
15.48 Why does it look like a hospital? 🤣🤣 You beat me to it…
Top tip for turbulence, pretend it is a roller coaster! Makes it much more enjoyable and fun😂
The drink that was spilled on you oh my god i would have cried
It did a bit
OMG... what a queue...this is all you need after the flight from he'll...
I remember flying to the UK once and had a massive delay and the car rental companies stayed open because they knew they had bookings on the flights.
oh wow! that's the UK for you lol
Nice style of presenting and viewing numbers clearly excellent......As for turbulence that was mild lol....when you've bounced off the ceiling of the cabin on Cathay Pacific that was heavy turbulence lol....have subscribed as easy watching videos
Thanks 👍
10:23 kid in the background.. "noooooo! there's no charging point!!" had to laugh. Welcome to Ryanair kid!!
LOL
Don’t blame him. It’s 2024. Seriously
Each to their own not for me but loved the experience and as always thanks for the video.
Taxi line always been like that on late night ibiza flights we’ve waited hour before
If you ever come to Cape Town on British Airways flight BA 059, what ever arrival time they give it is not right. It is the flight most tour guides will happily pass on to another guide
Hi, I just discovered your channel and your videos are very entertaining, and I subscribed. Keep up the good work
Thanks
I went on a Club 18-30 trip to Ibiza once when I was in my early twenties. Oh boy. Never again.
Jesus! - what a nightmare from start to finish.
I think I will wait for another year.
Sympathies mate.
:-)
I’ve waited two years, I’ll chance it now thanks!
We had some bad turbulence landing back in Manchester a few months ago in a thunderstorm. I'm terrified of flying anyway, but it felt like we dropped 30ft 🤢
Omg
Great Vlog Tim x
Sorry I couldn't make the premiere Tim. Just caught up on big screen, so don't envy you that flight, not sure what's worse, turbulence or rowdy passengers 🤣 Stanstead looks good though, never flown from there. If the taxi driver was manic, give the ones in New York a try, whole new level of manic! If you're still there, safe flight home
Lol yes the mixture of how rocky with the drunken antics
Those stains look like bed bug stains! Be careful in future because if you carry them home you'll have a nightmare!
I know
did you hear about the singapore flight?
Well, that flight looked interesting! We decided not to fly this year because of all the issues at airports and we are staying in a eurocamp in Holland for about half the price of a haven type place in the U.K.!
Interesting hotel - those beds did didn’t look comfortable!
nope I had to put extra towels under
Oh my goodness - the turbulence on that flight sounds insane, made no easier by the fact you're on a plane of Ibiza clubbers by the sounds of it, haha!
It was!
All probably coked or pilled up too 😮
Flossie's cake is beautifully decorated ❤
Flew to Tenerife..4 hours...cooped in to my seat...with Ryan Air. I was going truly mental by the end. Will hopefully never have to fly with them ever again.
Go with Jet2. Slightly better
@@mrglide7078 Nexr flight was Jet2..to Croatia. Way better experience.
Worst turbulence on Ryanair way back from Majorca over the Pyrenees as the winds sweep up the mountain range into the flight paths. That was sat at the back of the plane so I always sit in between the wings now as more stable and you don't feel the bumps as much!
good tip!
what time of day did you fly?? i go in september & hope there’s no turbulence! i also fly with ryanair
@@risteardconchuir4065 we go morning in early september so hoping all ok!! was it the same on the way there & back??
@@risteardconchuir4065 i will also be 29 weeks pregnant so hoping for a smooth journey!! especially being morning flights both ways & hopefully not as windy with it being morning flights and still warm start of septwmber
Thanks Tim, I'll never fly, scares me so much, brave ,glad that You back home safe ,see you Sunday
@@ColchesterCO3 no don't drive, coach holidays usually in England, but not been away since covid

@@ColchesterCO3 very true

I was just at Stansted Airport last week on a city break to Rome. Stayed in the same car park
