As a mobile tyre fitter, the TPMS sensors go off for a reason! It's either low presssure or too much pressure in the tyres. Unfortunately with that model of car it doesn't tell you which wheel is "faulty", so it's a case of checking them all, unless one is obviously flat! One good thing to video if you were to hire a car again, is to show the condition of the tyres. Go close to the sidewall to check for the same brand on each tyre, check for cracking and check the tread pattern to ensure there is enough rubber to keep you on the road! Also check the DOT code on each tyre. The 4 digit code indicates the week the tyre was manufacturered. For eg, if the car was 2 years old the DOT code on the tyre should in theory end in either 19 ro 20. I've heard horror stories of when people have hired cars and they've been less than roadworthy! Also, I can't believe they allowed you to video the whole journey through the airport, whilst on the plane and leaving the airport too! Great video as always
As I've always said, I love Tim's upbeat vids... He actually makes travelling by plane seem less stressful. And as per, I'm always spoilt for choice when wondering the airport shops... Or is that my wife? Brill vid, Tim! Keep up with this particular theme. 👍👍
Great video as always! Was very funny to see how cheerful the car hire guy was... and £47 a night for all that space? That sounds like a really good deal
That’s where Jeremy Clarkson was with Hammond, when he has that epic rant about airports, on the grand tour and the route you went was were clarkson fell on the plane docking bay and Hammond went the correct way. It was in session 3, episode 12
Honestly loved this, big fan of your channel anyways but I love these style of travel vlogs where we experience the trip from airport to destination and vice versa (similar to the MacMaster videos) so really appreciate these Tim! Thanks a lot!
Flew that plane (G-RUKA) to Almeria Spain in September from a gate right next to the one you left from! I believe it’s registration starts with a G because it is operated by Ryanair UK, not Ryanair. You’ll notice almost all other Ryanair planes have a reg which starts with EI which denotes a registration in Ireland. Any plane reg which starts with a G is registered in the UK.
We flew into Fuerteventura this morning and rented a car with the same company Ace Rent A Car and even went to B420 parking space, great service straight out the back of the car away in 5mins €154 for 7 days and mention of extra insurance or hard sell.
Gave my son a lift to Stansted and thought cool I could look around as reward for driving a 260 mile round trip. Turns out passenger drop off is about two miles out and passengers get a bus in. So I saw a car park and a bus stop. Nice to see what I missed!
We stayed at a country town Beach hotel once and they were all gone from the desk by then for the day. The desk attendant told us our room would have a washcloth stuck in the door so we could get in. They didn't have key boxes or all-night staff back then. Memories!
Hi Tim glad you arrived safe in your hire car, fab views from the airplane over the coast, looks a lovely room, must be a Brittania upgrade, 😂. Enjoy and see you Wednesday, hope Gaby feeling better, enjoyed your live last night, take care
El Cotillo is one of my favourite places! So quiet and chilled! Adore the lagoon beach and the total contrast of the big surfing beach on the other side of the town. El Galoso is great for coffee and delicious patisserie!
Hello Tim,another awesome place, the car hire was a bit strange but cheap.the room is very spacious, the pool and the weather makes it more interesting to visit.
Cicar operate car hire there too, I used them in Tenerife and they were incredible, I definitely recommend them. I booked an automatic Seat Ibiza with them and they were super helpful and friendly. Then I got to the car park and they had upgraded me to an Alfa Romeo Giulia, a €200 upgrade, for free. That made driving a lot more fun!
I had the same car in Tenerife booked through autoresin and they were so good. No deposit and full insurance included, they don’t sell any extras. Was the easiest rental experience ever
I’m a Canary Islands regular. Never been to Fuerteventura….so hoping to be persuaded! On the car hire subject, I’ve always tried to use out of terminal companies. On Tenerife, Pouls Auto and Sanasty give you a box within the front window and you just drive away…..10 mins after coming out! Paperwork done in their offices a day or two later. Simple and cheap. I HATE the normal pressurised queue. Your style of presentation is great by the way….glad I’ve discovered your wee videos.
We went to fuerteventura in august. We hired a car with Autoreisen. €135 for a week great value. Although the prices fluctuated over the months before we finally booked. At one point it went as high as €250. We stayed in origo mare in the north of island. Nice hotel but in middle of nowhere.
We flew into Fuerteventura this morning and rented a car with the same company Ace Rent A Car and even went to B420 parking space, great service straight out the back of the car away in 5mins €154 for 7 days and mention of extra insurance or hard sell, but leave the key under the seat and send a photo when returning made me laugh, will definitely recommend 👍
My god! Tim you probably won’t see this but I’d go to Fuerte on a family holiday most years before covid. We came back in March 2020 weeks before the first lockdown I love the place so much. We’d stay in a village called Lajares a close drive to El Cotillo and we spent so much time around the town itself. I know the place so well and it’s bizarre to see everything again (the big modern Spar supermarket was an empty unit last time I was there!) I adore the place and would love to come back soon. I hope you enjoy your stay it’s a truly wonderful part of the world. ❤
I buy the Poundland version of Toblerone (Twin Peaks - and as a fan of show I had to) - it's only a quid but near-good as Tobler. Shocking 2.79 for an Evian but that's airports. They stop you bringing your own water through (like a cheap bottle from Lidl) and then charge a ransom. Part of what put me off airports esp if delayed and thirsty.
Excellent video, Tim. Been to Heathrow many times, but never to Stansted. So, quite informative. And I hire an airport pickup every single time I travel.
That's a "studio" apartment? Wow! I can fully understand your feeling of weirdness of sleeping in such a big space. Looks lovely though. Have a great trip!
We love Fuerteventura! We've stayed in Corralejo twice, and popped over for a day trip when staying on Lanzarote. We're going back in April next year (over Easter) - this time in Calete De Fueste. Can't wait! Going with TUI though.
Calet de fuste is really nice Andrew I've been there a few times and travelled up to corralejo via car, such a lovely drive and peaceful island. This video makes me want to go back 😭 enjoy your Easter holiday 😊
Reminds me of a car hire in Portugal. I went with the parents and booked the cheapest, it was a massive trek across car parks to find them and after paying all the mystery extras I could have got one cheaper from the standard places. Properly ripped off. I was going to cancel but saw how exhausted the parents were so went ahead. I hadn’t the heart to tell them what a shed we had ended up with! The 3 bald tyres were the least of our problems! It got us round! 😂
Oo, I know what you mean about sleeping in a big open space. I’d never thought of it, but I’d feel exactly the same. I always have to close the bedroom door when I sleep.
Used to fly Easy jet all the time to Alicante in Spain. Actually prefer them for short haul. Love flying from the North terminal. Glad you showed us what No 1 lounge looks like have nearly booked it a couple of times but as it comes to well over £100 for 4 of us I'm glad we didn't!
Oh once again I missed the beginning. Never mind I can catch up. Love your videos....I am always fascinated about where your next destination is going to be. 🤩🥰💙💙
I was holding my breath when u turned the key to yr studio, praying it would be clean and nice, and it was, yeah,🎉,it looks like a great place to travel to, glad the car got u there safe, phew 😊
You can take that cardy off now, Tim!! I'm going to Fuerteventura in November. Hope you had a good stay? I love each of the Canary Isles- favourite Lanzarote.
I love the idea that Tim is somewhat baffled by the idea that people who don’t live in England might also be travelling through the airport. ‘Who buys this before they go on a plane?” All those people who are flying home and want to take a gift back with them. Love the videos and consistently watch them as a homesick ex-pat living in Canada.
Enjoyed that vlog so much, reminds me of the chaos when arriving in Tenerife and you step out of the airport and have to find a particular coach to your resort, the apt looks fabulous if i got that apt i'd be well happy...
Just a tyre pressure sensor - shouldn't be a worry - I had that once when it started to snow - took the car to Kwik-Fit and they told me the air in the tyre loses pressure as it gets colder - one of them was a couple of PSI below recommended and it set the sensor off. He just banged a bit of air in a tyre and job was done
I have to say I would have to agree with your wife on the car hire part. That would stress me out 😂. But fair play to you for trying a different company.
Wow what a bargain short break holiday at that price it seems better value than some holiday stays you have had in the UK. I've still not ventured abroad since covid-19. I look forward to your next adventure.
Love fue , been so many times ,corrlejo is a must to visit if you can also flag beach , you will be amazed , the rui Hotel is right on the beach for idea were it is , Enjoy Tim
Hi Tim im a new subscriber to your channel & really enjoy how thorough and honest you are with every aspect wirh you travel & accommodation!! Regarding the car hire situation i once lived in Cyprus & worked for a small car hire firm and we always did the rental agreement in the car park to keep costs down ( not paying rent for an office which in turn meant you could offer very competitive prices compared to the big companies) it might have been the temperature that caused your tyre sensor to come on 🤔
I've had a few car hires in Spain and Fuerteventura where I've met them in the carpark. Feels odd, but each time I've had a much better service and experience than with the named brands
Autoreisen car hire are really good if you are ever hiring a car again in Fuerteventura. They were recommended to me by someone who lives there and I have found them really great and prices are good too.
I really enjoyed this video - I don't know why but this one in particularly felt like I was coming on holiday with you. The apartment and the car hire both seem like absolute bargains - how much was the flight (or did I miss that?). Cheers Tim

The Lady at 4:49 giving you the side eye is honestly my spirit animal. I'd definitely do the same seeing someone chat to a camera in public

More to come!
Fuerteventura is beautiful and I love the old Architecture of the hotel. The airport is just as impressive than it was back in 2009 when I visited.
I haven't flown for a few years, I didn't realise how expensive everything had got! £10 for a croissant and coffee! Great vid as always Tim
Found this channel a few days ago and I literally can’t stop watching it. Love the vids Tim. 👌🏻
hey thanks

You are a real Anorak 😂😂😂 must be your hobby
But can you need EASA ATPL to fly the G reg? and not Irish EASA licence.
@@flybobbie1449 irish covers all. But all uk pilots have uk and eu licenses

Thanks barry
Hired a car that way in Menorca many years ago. That place looked great! Thanks for sharing.
I love these travel videos, it gives me that airport feeling. Gets me excited for my next holiday!.
Yay happy holidays

Bit of good advice Tim … Book car hire with Autoreisen in the canary’s . Very good mate . 👍
