Thanks for shooting the video so we can actually SEE what you are describing. You do a wonderful job staying out of the way and filming up close with good lighting. Thank you!
So happy to have found you. Got my machine 15 years ago and never could figure out how to thread it. Lol put it away and stuck to my kenmore, now a phaff. Thank you. You can teach an old dog new tricks. Just need a teacher!
Threading the serger is critical to having even one inch of your seam turn out properly! I think I will return to video #3 often. A gazillion thanks for this series! You are delightful to watch; you inspire confidence in your audience by the up- tone of your voice and the confidence in which you break down the complex into the simple doable parts. In short, you are instantly recognized as an expert. Excuse me, I have to go label my serger now!
Perfect!!! Sure beats the heck out of trying to figure out the manual - I think I just bought this exact serger. Interesting that the manual NEVER EXPLAINS what a looper is. But you do in your first video of this series. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials! Amazing camera work on the intricacies of threading the lower looper which has been my nemesis! Just want y’all to know, this info is still relevant for those of us who are learning to serge.
I've owned my serger for 20+ years, and I never knew you were supposed to thread them in a particular order. I'm glad that I'm watching the entire series!
All sergers are different. I don't think anyone could learn to thread their machine with this video because it does go to fast but really what people need to understand is that with practice, it can be done this easily. The best thing about this video was showing me what order to thread my machine. After seeing this video that will be so easy to remember.
You can slow down the video. Just go to the wheel or gear on the bottom right of the screen and choose playback speed. Or you can choose to have subtitles on the screen to see what she is saying. I hope this helps.
Hello! Thank you for this amazing video! I enjoy your videos and I am so glad you start the ”serger” chapter. Please make a video for the serger thread tension. For me is a chaos to find the correct thread tension. I do not understand how it works. I know there is a catch...

Love your vid videos just subscribed today. I do not sew but My mother has a serger machine that is probably over 15 years old believe it or not it still works however she is having some issues with the lower looper thread popping I was wondering if you could provide some help on what some of the issues could be we have tried to contact a sewing machine repair companies but have not had much luck.
Thank you I ordered my Over locker today,, and it arrives tomorrow. My question is on my sewing machine I use polyester, and cotton. Polyester is probably cheaper, but what am I looking for in good/usable thread? Thanks, really good series on the Over Locker.

Wow! I understood that! Thank you.

After threading where do we set it from zero I am totally new to serger as my daughter gave me a serger as a gift. Thanks for the help.
Usually tension is set at 4 and you rarely need to change it for regulat serging
I love your videos, you have some steady hands! Could be a surgeon!!

Why do you use thread nets please?
So glad I splurged little & bought a serger with Jet Air threading. I could never do those loopers.

Holy Cow! How many times does it take to get those four thread techniques down pat??

So I use Madeira polyneon thread for my commercial embroidery machine. Is this what you are using or is it a different Madeira product? Thanks! 🙂
The third that you threaded; which needle did you thread it into? I could not see it well. Thank you!
Right needle
do you need to thread both needles?
Wow this is alot 😯

For a serger/overlocker, I recommend the following polyester thread.

Thanks!
Do you need to use 4 threads or can you just use 2
Nice video. Just wish you would slow down a bit & turn your mic volume up
I just brought one from the sewing shop . I sew Ity only ( interlock twisting yard) . So I was wondering how should my tension should be

What foot do I need for our machine for going in a curve? It's a shorter foot.
Do you run the thread to the left or right of the tensioning disc?
You want to thread between the discs! :)
You are an excellent teacher however a little too fast for me.
why did you put the netting on the thread?
Hi! The netting helps the thread feed better through the machine. It's a preventative measure, especially with specialty thread.
Aah that's too tough to do for the first time

Why is my neddle hiring the presser foot
I can barely thread a regular machine. I was lost after the first thread. Won't be buying a serger, lol
It's intimidating at first, but I promise it's worth it!
Thank you! It was very helpful.
