Please never take this video down! Every time I have to re-thread my overlocker I come back to it. My cat has the bad habit of biting off the threads so I have to re-thread it every now and then and your video is my lifesaver! It’s been a few years since I first watched it and I always come back to it. Best one ever!!! Thanks!

Jamie, Your two videos on this overlocker (what we call a Serger in North America) is the best by far that I've ever seen. I've gone though my User Guide a few times and you explain things much better. As other viewers have said, please never delete this video. Thank you.

Dear Jamie, I've never experienced a better tutorial than yours! Thank you so much for your support. I'd have never been able to use my overlocker without your fantastic threading tutorial. I even recommended to a German friend who does not understand any English, but managed to get her machine started aver having followed your explanations step by step! Thank you so much and I hope you'll never take this viedeo down because I always use it when I have to rethread my overlocker. THANK YOU!!!

Hi Jamie, thank you very much for the video. It is a brilliant guide. My man, as you described in the beginning, bought cheap sewing mashin in Lidl, not knowing what it is like, not sewing at all... I played beginning of the video to him with a comment: "Listen! Listen! This guy is talking about you!" 😀 Rest of the video is for me. As experienced person with ordinary sewing mashin, you helped me a lot to even understand what is what on an overlock. I am not afraid anymore and can then start discovering this interesting equipment. Will check other videoes and learn more. Thank you again and I wish you all the best.

You are a genius!! Your instructions are very clear and concise. The camera angles and lighting ensure you can see in all the hidden areas and that bit at the end where you hand crank the needles, was the bit I missed, previously, and that's probably why I was not chaining. It's now midnight, so I will try to thread it tomorrow. Thank you so much. Looking forward to watching the other videos.

I have to hand it to you. This is as clear as it’s possible to be! I was used to a toyota and had to use a Singer and the few differences were such a headache. I have always heard how hard these were to thread and that's why most people buy them and never use them. I'm not at all afraid of going and looking at one tomorrow. I clean, lube and check out the sewing machines for a dog rescue thrift store before they put them out for sale. They sent me a picture of this on today and now I feel confident checking it out for them after watching this video. Thanks.

I was threading between the plastic and the tension disks. :) The zoomed shots are greatly appreciated. I spent hours trying to get it right, and finally found this video. Bought the LIDL version on Thursday. This video was essential and proves 2 things. 1.Some people are natural teachers and demonstrators and 2. This is a very underestimated machine, that when threaded correctly is probably more than adequate for the majority of home sewers.

This has removed my dread of threading my overlocker. I always tied the thread of the new spool to the existing spool ..and I've had my machine for 25 years. Also only ever stuck to black n white threads because of this dread. Your video has changed all this. A shame I didn't see this years ago. A real lifesaver.

I have had this overlocker for many years now. It was wonderful when I first got it but it has been gathering dust for a while. Dusting it off yesterday I couldn't find the manual and for the life of me I couldn't work out how to fix a tension problem. I watched several videos last night, one was on cleaning and oiling the machine, which I decided to do as it has been a couple of years since last used.
While this video made me realise I made one fatal error in threading my yellow, I also noticed an error I made putting the footer plate back on. Because of the wonderful tight clear close-ups. I think this is my new favourite channel..

Jamie, thank you so much for the easiest Tutorial I have ever followed. Your camera angles showing all the hidden bits was definitely what I needed. I’m all threaded and ready to go 😊 I have also recommended you on my sewing group as you can imagine a lot of us went to Lidl and purchased one last week 😀

I bought this Overlocker years ago from Lidl (as, I think you mention, loads of people did) and it's been sat on my sewing desk intimidating me ever since. Thank you for helping me to finally get it up and running, I might actually use it now!

I really hope you are still monitoring this site as I want to express my heartfelt thanks for this video. I got my first machine 3 days ago and have been trying for this 3 days to thread the needle so showing me how to move the cutting blade will make this so much easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t wait to watch your next video once I’ve got this sorted xx

Here to thank you as well for this amazing, easy to follow tutorial. I would've never figured it out just using the manual. Thank you!!!

This was a quite excellent tutorial. A logical flow, clear explanations, no jargon and very clear photography - on a subject and machine which are not the easiest to understand for the uninitiated. Thank you very much.

I've been thinking of buying a serger for years but am a bit intimidated by it. Your video is very well done, very clear and very encouraging. Thank you so much.

I have had this machine since they first came out in our local grocery store. I have no doubt it would still be sat waiting for me to thread it if it wasnt for Covid 19. Thank you for getting me to finally learn how to do it from your video. Thank you for inspiring me to sew something stretchy! Just now realise those four plastic things had a purpose and I threw them out as waste years ago!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! So easy to follow my machine is now set after being sat in its box for over a year as I was too scared to give it go. Feeling very pleased with myself. Looking forward to many more of your videos. A huge thank you also for not having stupid loud music as often these videos do over the person talking. The pace of this video was just perfect even with pausing it took me just 30 mins for whole business. Thank you again!!!!

Thank you so much for this! I would never have made it without. I have had this machine for years and suddenly came to think of UA-cam! And there it was, the best instructions!

All these years I thought an overclock Machine had only one stitch. Thank you so much now I can go and experiment other stitches. This tutourial has been so informative.

I got mine 6 years ago, took one look at the instructions and promptly hid it in the back of a cupboard! Stumbled upon it when having a clear out and had the brain wave of looking on UA-cam as a last ditch attrempt and found your tutorial. I can not thank you enough. I now love my over-locker. Still have to have you guiding me through the threading process though. :)
