This is my ever best class on Overlocker. I've learned so much in few minutes. Singer should pay you for making this simple tutorial. They can't explain it so clearly and so concisely themselves. Thank you. You're the best.

I know this video is years old but hands down best video bought one of these babies for 50 bucks on Facebook marketplace because they said the thread kept breaking, they just needed to set the tension properly thread it properly and I got all of my information from this video thank you so much

I am a grateful great grandmother- wanting to stitch all the seams on a little dress. Your video is excellent-such clear photos and directions. I have the booklet-but your directions are much more clear!!. My eyes are tired now-so I will stop after a fairly successful 4 inches of what looks reasonable!!!

My Singer overlocker has sat in its box for 3 years since I abandoned trying to use it following the written instructions.I was so disappointed as I had wanted one for years. This week I found your tutorial and will not look back, it is brilliant and I now have it working and. have made my first blouse with beautiful tidy seams. Thank you.

So pleased this video is here, thank you for doing it.
I bought my over locker from Lidl about 2 years ago and ever since then I've studiously avoided going anywhere near it because I didn't have a clue where to start.
Being in desperate need of an over locker for a project I'm working on at the moment, I headed onto You Tube.
Now I can't wait to unbox it and give it a go. Your videos are brilliant- thank you for taking the time to do them.

Omg!!! This by far is the best tutorial ever! I've had my Singer Overlock Serger 14u34 (which was a Christmas gift)put up since the 90s because it felt so intimidating.🥴 Now that I have a new hobby (pillow making)I decided to pulled it out and conquer my fears! Thanks to this awesome teaching video, I'm well on my way and enjoying my new hobby with great success! Thank you so much! I'm so grateful! 🥳

Hi there, just wanted to thank you so much for your videos. I have a new singer serger and after being frustrated with watching other videos I ran across your instruction. I've saved them, have taken notes and feel much more confident to experiment with my machine. I really appreciate how clear and slowly you speak as well as how clear your zoom in is. Thank you again so much and I look forward to more of your videos. Blessings to you, Denise

Brilliant tutorials - thank you soooo much. I bought my overlocker machine nearly a year ago but not used it much and had such trouble trying to understand the manual with it's not very clear pictures/instructions!! I need to shorten the dress I'm wearing to my son's wedding which has a rolled hem and want to do the same so will be practising using your fantastically clear and easy to understand tutorials before I attempt the real thing! I do a lot of sewing (mainly crafts/patchwork/bags etc) but have never used an overlocker before and thought it would be useful tool to add to my sewing room. Thanks again Jamie.

This is definitely the best video I’ve seen for this serger! Very concise. I bought my serger several months ago and waited to take some classes last month. I learned some things about serging but nothing about threading (we used a serger that had an air threader). You made it simple. It’s not at all scary like people say. Thank you so very much!

Thank you for your video. I've been learning about flatlock seams because I want to use it to hem my first (newbie) Tshirt-Tunic. My problem is couldn't find any instruction about which thread makes the ladder. I want the ladder on the right side of the material. Your video has been very helpful because your instructions were clear, and you used coloured thread which meant I could identify the ladder is made by the blue thread, which is the needle thread. Yipee! Thank you, thank you.

I didn't realise some seams were done purely by changing the tension and/or needle. I've only had my overlocker for a week, and assumed until I saw this, that tension had to be just right for the fabric (like a sewing machine) rather than for the stitch required. Many thanks!

Brilliant Jamie....I got a Silvercrest 2 years ago, tried my utmost to follow the book.....stitches were loose/ first the front then the back then all over the place etc......ended up putting it back in the box. I was asked to make Doggie raincoats for a StrayHaven rescue centre here in Paphos, Cyprus this winter so got the dreaded machine back out of the box and searched the net for problems, came across your videos and Halehlulia ! So if you and your family ever come to Cyprus, look us up......I owe you a pint and probably a medal 😂

I have this same machine, and I have had it for years, but didn't know how to use it or know what to do with it...I've lost some pieces, and I can't understand how, but I did make a couple of pairs of Leggings with it so far... Lovely clear instructions and nice and slow so we don't lose the thread (sorry about the pun!) of what is being said.

Many, many, many thanks for uploading this excellent, very simple and easy to following tutorial. I desperately wanted to buy a Serger Machine for a long time, but have been reluctant to do so as I was in awe of threading and maintaining the machine - even though I have been professional taught how to do so. Having watched your other video showing the basics and threading, of the Singer 14H754 Overlocker, I became confident that I could now buy this mach and maintain it with ease. I bought a Serger 14SH754 and followed your instructions on how to thread it. The first time I did it something went wrong. I patiently and timely followed your instructions step by step and BINGO my machine works perfectly. I can't thank you enough.

Thank you so much for this video! I was gifted the same overlocker that you are using and sadly it didn't come with instructions so I've gone in blind! I mostly quilt using my sewing machine but have ventured into dressing so i am looking forward to getting to grips with my overlocker!
