A hotel or two would make a lot of sense in this area, both the amusement park and the media center would draw a lot of out of town visitors.

The UFO shaped unique building from mid-century modern would have added some extra age-depth spice in my opinion
Nice build! With the Airport in close proximity the whole area is screaming Tourism so I think that would be a good focus. That theme could even wrap around the other side of the mountain to a more chilled escape vibes with Lodges and national parks type stuff maybe :D Love the series I’m so hyped for Cities 2 gonna be some series on this Chanel! Keep up the good work OE

26:51 I would use a bike path instead so that people could take the bike from other parts of the city to the media centre and as well add bike lanes to some of those roads so that you could bike all the way to the amusement park. Also, great video! The amusement park looks amazing!

You mentioned it while building, but the amusement park really is just so crammed. Lots of attractions but barely any space for guests to move around. I dunno how well that would work tbh.
Also the back of the department store needs some kind of fence imo, right now the pedestrian path just walks right over the loading area of the store. And there's no fencing of any kind towards the train line, very dangerous!

Hey, Egg, you placing the robotics center got me thinking, you could build a Silicon Valley like space in Orchid Bay, with open grass fields between the buildings! Loving the build so far!

Oooh, this build reminds me a bit of Odaiba in Tokyo. Fuji TV's two buildings, Joypolis (indoor amusement park), Diver City... and enormous parking lots. Very cool.
A nice area for some Hotels opposite the Amusement Park on the main drag...
I actually didn't think of using campus buildings to compliment non campus buildings. Thanks for the great tip yet again

Really cool build! Personally, I feel like the noise from the amusement park wouldn’t sit well for the media execs and any streaming they do, but I think it looks really good!

Such a great use of the amusement park! Those new Cities 2 commercial buildings ate up all my commercial demand. Only realised when I started deleting some commercial to try figure out what was wrong and hundreds of people scattered out from under those and my commercial demand returned.
Some more height at the end of the peninsula, sloping down to the amusement park may look good.
In between the gardens and the train station there is a small gap. A couple food trucks or food stands would look great there.

In that corner on the other side of the mountain, a zoo could work since the mountain would block some of the lights and noise from downtown to not upset the animals. Plus a nature Preserve combo could work as well.

Sleepy fishing/ mountain camping town seems appropriate, especially with some roadside motels, modest piers for fishing and farrying

The media centre is awesome! Love the placement and choice of all the assets. I'm on the fence about the compact amusement park - maybe its the haunted house pumpkin that doesn't work for me on the corner lol. It still blends really nicely together of course though! The train in between the warehouses and shopping mall is a big yes please from me!

Great use of assets in the media park! Only other one I could think of is the radio mast from Natural Disasters for that extra pop in height. And those nighttime shots looked extra crispy
23:06 maybe a more colorful tree is warranted here to stand out a little bit more from this view. A nice purple or pink would look fantastic

A little disappointed I didn't get that view, but instead I got to witness another beautiful park of the city come to be. Personally when I see a media center. I always seem to see the big satellite dishes. Cannot wait for the next one.
I just finished watching the Ilos hospital build. Yes Egg loves using campus buildings outside of the campus. Like all of the campus buildings. 😂
Suggestion to extend the train line down to meet the other station at the bottom of the island but replace the station with the multilayer station that has lines at different angles. It would link the 2 train networks together and form an interchange point before that line from the city heads off into the countryside. Would need to move that office building though. Loving this series.

as i mentioned in many other videos before. its your best vanilla series (i know its vanilla plus) Love this city
University/Campus buildings all over a city is quite normal. Most Universities have a main campus indeed, but as they started on a plot of land historically, and they city grew around them..... they just don't have room to expand. So they start buying land elsewhere or simply buying/leasing buildings all over town for various purposes. It's really not uncommon for a University that is in one location, to e.g. have a health education department built close to a local hospital, or a marine biology department located miles away at a lake or ocean.

Great build. The Hamilton mall fits perfectly. @29:57 the airport approach looks fine to me. Plenty of room and no clipping. What more do you need?

Amazing build as always, fun to watch. I don't know if I am the only one triggered by the single tower suspension bridges, kind of missing the suspension part, but anyway... it is vanilla and not much that can be done
i dont think TV studio would be behind train tracks haha they cant have that kind of noise on their recording
You'd be surprised. Media City in Salford has a load of industrial train lines passing nearby!
With the intercity train stop, you could make the head of that island have a sprinkle of nightlife/tourism assets. It would round out the island nicely as a tourist attraction.
The theme park with tv studios - very Universal or such. Maybe call area Galactic Broadcasting and Theme Park (GBTP)

Why use the bypass station at this location if you’ve blocked the access out of the station in the other direction? You should have at least extended the tracks out to preserve the right-of-way if that’s what’s planned. If not, the bypass station isn’t needed

The Media Center it's self looks good, the Amusement park not so much. That Amusement park is way too cramped and confined in to way too small of a space for all the assets you tried to bring in. Especially that log ride! People would be stacked up all down that midway lining up for the log ride and the roller coaster in a real park. As you also mentioned, that entrance to the log ride it's self is just horrendous! I understand parks in Europe are different than they are here in the US, but there is just no room for anything, there needs to be parking just for that Amusement Park!
I am also not a big fan of the way that train station is laid out. That station has 4 tracks and none of them continue out the other side. Quite a big station for a dead end line in my opinion. I also do not like that department store backed up against the raised road like that. I think you are just trying to cram far to much into way too small a space.
