This is my vote for the temple on top of the mountain! Winding dirt road up with a yoga garden? Or even bring in some skyrim lore with some broken castle ruins where the original settlers prayed to the gods of the carnivorous deer. Maybe incorporate an old shack where the last monk or greybeard lives to tell the history. BTW great episode as always 🤙
Love the build, really came together, and I'm not even mad about those arty towers - they make a lot of sense there, definitely the sort of thing you see around expo sites and touristy areas. Would love to see a mountaintop temple build! If anyone can pull it off I reckon you can OE!
When I suggested the Central Park behind the uni I never thought it would be such a perfect If It Fits It Sits moment! Love this episode so much! And another vote for the temple on a mountain top, as soon as you mentioned it I had that thought too
You really know how to turn an empty space into something beautiful! The view from that patio would be amazing during a sunrise or sunset, I'd for sure be sitting there or even get a job there so I don't need to spend money to see it. Keep up the amazing work!
If you do put a temple on the mount, you gotta put an enormous epic staircase running down the mountain side, so disciples/monks can prove their worth, like some fantasy novel.
Oh wow, the roundness of the London eye pairs sooo well with the twist in that unique building. Ahh! 🤌🏻🤌🏻 Egg, you have such a way with geometry and visuals. Absolutely inspiring!
Really not feeling CS2 with all the bugs. So happy to have this series to continue watching. Beautiful as always, so inspirational for my gameplay. Thank you Egg
Great build!! Very vibrant addition 🤩 Yes to the rooftop restaurant and bar!! Definitely would sit and have drinks and or dinner there!! 😍 It's going to bustle around that area!!
That view is perfect, I'd definitely sit and people and world watch. 100% love what you did. Looks so lovely. And please keep making CS1 content as I really love it.
I'd recommend adding more foliage between the broken sections of rail, probably some small trees as well as bushes. It would be that growth breaking down the tracks. If that green dinosaur mascot is a permanent fixture of the plaza next to the tower and is nameable, could i suggest Blarney? Yes to the mountain temple!
Please do the mountain temple. I am half Japanese and every time i go to Japan to visit my grandparents there are still a few of those mountain top temples kicking about and they look gorgeous.
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG The one I personally enjoyed going to was the Yamadera temple in yamagat which took a whole hour of hiking just to get to the top. The views were very well worth it tho
It’s pretty common in Japan and China, maybe Korea too, to have tea houses on the tops of mountains, with insane winding roads going up to them. Tianmen Mountain 99 Bend is the classic example. It has some insane bridge infrastructure near the top, I think you’d enjoy it. The Hakone Turnpike in Japan is another one. It’s a toll road that goes to a mountaintop restaurant , purely for pleasure driving. That Korean temple would make an excellent mountaintop destination.
Great build, Egg! The Entertainment precinct has some strong Circular Quay vibes, perhaps a bleeding over from Thessia's Australian inspirations? 😂 Also, 100% yes to the temple atop a mountain!
Mountain top temple build would be awesome. Has a very batman begins/Dr strange vibe! I'm not a fan of the big chonky tower BUT I think this is the perfect spot for it given you see these kind of artsy buildings in waterfronts a lot :) Please keep up a CS1 build, even with CS2 now out. Can't get enough :)
I'm going to miss Orchid Bay when it wraps up. It'll never take the place in my heart currently and forever held by Noob Yolk, but it's been a great journey watching it develop over the last year or so
Suggestion: In Lotus along the abandoned train line perhaps you can place a single decorative box car with tables next to it. It can be repurposed at as a coffee shop or place for drinks/snacks.
the central park should be the old lotus train station, the middle sunken bit does look like an old one. just an idea, thanks for the episode egg, you're giving me inspiration every time you release an episode
In what might be one of the loveliest coinky-dinks the channel has seen so far, a popular and widespread Korean beer brand is Oriental Brewery, or OB for short. Just imagine taking the Maher to Dosan for Korean BBQ and crispy OBs with the lads ❤
I'll throw in my vote for the mountain top Temple. That would be a cool build, and there's a lot of inspiration to be had from real-life temples across the world sitting atop huge hills and mountains.
the more i play cs 2, the more i value the mass of dlc content / Mods / Detailing Options in CS 1. This game is imo so much better than CS2 right now. And you are doing a gigantic good job in your cities and my beloved orchid bay
Fun build! One name suggestion: Could the Expo Center be named Fire & Ice Arena, to honor the successful execution of the famed Iron Lotus, by Chaz Michael Michaels and Jimmy Macelroy? (Also, yes please for the temple on top of a mountain!)
Currently sipping a glass of wine while taking in all the goodness that is Orchid Bay, and pretending I'm on the rooftop bar at Lotus Pier. My imaginary life is to much fun!
I think it would be fun if you build all the football (soccer) stadiums in orchid bay. I think that the OBL (Orchid Bay Leauge). would be a great adition to your city. Maybe some amateur football clubs where the big OBL teams can scout their next talents.
Goodness sake I love cities skylines 1 so much, sure it's not new or has fancy new graphics but for pure fun of design and detailing it just can't be beat at least for now. Maybe in a year or two cities skylines 2 will really start to shine on it's own but for now give the original game and I'm as happy as a pig in mud. By the way Egg Man your doing an awesome job of creating and detailing your city and it's been very inspiring to watch so please don't be mad at me for stealing some of your design ideas. Take care and keep on keeping on because no one does it better then you...💯👍
The “collection” bundle on Steam just went on sale (at least in the UK) and it looks like that is the whole lot for 45% off and you can get it even if you own some of the DLC/CCP already, it just reduces the price of the bundle by subtracting what you own
I think along the waterfront between Lotus Pier and the map boundary, there’s a lot of room for some high density residential right along the water. It reminds me a lot of the area southwest of Toronto, along Lake Ontario
That Tower looks like one of those buildings developed with way too much tax money ending up costing several times as much as estimated taking triple the time to build... you know... one of those... like the, by now, Famous Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, that was planned with 77 million and ended up costing 866 million...
The Lotus pier reminds me of "the Hamilton experience" in CPP's Verde beach playlist. Since you also mentioned city planner play in previous videos, why don't you call the pier "the Lotus Experience" plus it is also tourist and leisure based
What ab9ut building religion compp3x with Korean temple, church and musqe and name it St Joseph complex as he was mentioned in bible and quraan and tawrar

Would love to see a mountaintop temple build! If anyone can pull it off I reckon you can OE!
Ps. I would if another path attaching the main path to the quay in the big park area would help cims move around and use the quay more?
Turning the outer edges of the map into forest and dummy farmland would be a great way to flesh out the edges.
When I suggested the Central Park behind the uni I never thought it would be such a perfect If It Fits It Sits moment! Love this episode so much! And another vote for the temple on a mountain top, as soon as you mentioned it I had that thought too

Please Egg, dont leave CS1 as I absolutely love the detailing you can achieve here!.
I agree cs2 in my opinion is quite underwhelming both to watch and to play
I won't mate, as long as you guys are happy to watch, I'm happy to play 😊
If you do put a temple on the mount, you gotta put an enormous epic staircase running down the mountain side, so disciples/monks can prove their worth, like some fantasy novel.
"The Ferris wheel she told you not to worry about" really cracked me up !

Lovely build again. I'd definitely stop for a pint at that bar terrace and enjoy the view before hopping on the monorail to get downtown.
A suggestion about naming the Central Park Central station park. Like it was an old station at the plaza in the park. Great video!❤
Great build, Egg! The Entertainment precinct has some strong Circular Quay vibes, perhaps a bleeding over from Thessia's Australian inspirations? 😂

nice video as always. Im always getting some good head bobbing song recommendations. Egg has some absolute bangers up his sleeve
Just finishing the fish farm build. I absolutely love Orchid Bay! Keep up the fantastic work!

As a Cumbrian native im really appreciative of the little bits of home in your recent uploads mate!
love the vibe of the music during the detailing
Thank you for the birthday messages and the Maher monorail. You’ve got yourself a new patreon 🎉
Too kind bro! Appreciate ya
Amazing how much better CS2 looks suddenly!
Er... wait...
the central park should be the old lotus train station, the middle sunken bit does look like an old one. just an idea, thanks for the episode egg, you're giving me inspiration every time you release an episode

Cool build! I feel like the ferris wheel would be better if it was flipped 180 and sat right up against the quay wall, road layout permitting ofc.
I'll throw in my vote for the mountain top Temple. That would be a cool build, and there's a lot of inspiration to be had from real-life temples across the world sitting atop huge hills and mountains.
I’ve cycled that old train line in Keswick. Very cool. Excellent build as ever
A monorail stop near the uni would be a necessity!!
I could imagine that rooftop space being an alchemist bar or a trendy cocktail joint. Can't wait for when CS2 can look anything like this
the more i play cs 2, the more i value the mass of dlc content / Mods / Detailing Options in CS 1. This game is imo so much better than CS2 right now. And you are doing a gigantic good job in your cities and my beloved orchid bay

Hope you enjoy it ❤️
dude orchid bay is looking so good , been here since day 1!

Whoooo Orchid bay! Im at work but it will be my evening viewing!
I think it would be fun if you build all the football (soccer) stadiums in orchid bay. I think that the OBL (Orchid Bay Leauge). would be a great adition to your city. Maybe some amateur football clubs where the big OBL teams can scout their next talents.
Another fantastic build. I hope you will continue vanilla CS1 alongside CS2 content.
YES on the temple!

I hope there will be a bundel someday with cities skylines with all the dlcs for less then 400euros.

@@ben0329 thx man gonna get it rn
I don't really like the tower in that spot as a tower, but it totally works as a piece of divisive public art that the locals complain about.
Love your monorail build!
mountaintop temple 😎
Yes another video needed this as I am ill :)
I think along the waterfront between Lotus Pier and the map boundary, there’s a lot of room for some high density residential right along the water. It reminds me a lot of the area southwest of Toronto, along Lake Ontario
Great build Egg. :)
How did you sort the edge-of-map train problem from last episode?
You are almost at 100k citizens 🙌🏼🙌🏼😍😍
I absolutely love it!
The cinematic 😊
I think you should have at least one business hotel around the expo center. Just fits thematically
Every time I see that you have a video, I think to myself, Oh! it a good day!
We want hotels -- signed People of Lotus. 😀
i would TOTALLY take in the view from that Hearts of Korea asset...what a BRILLIANT view!!!
Oh how I missed Orchid bay
We really need a biscuit factory for lotus (lotus biscoff) loved the build was this a missed opportunity for the copperbowel?!?
You could use the sphinx and other awkward assets to make a gambling district.
For the moment I really enjoy the CS1 content more than CS2 but in time when mods will come CS2 will start to become better aswell
Best series ever

Make a cable car to the temple on top of the mountain!
Nice video oe 100k subs is next
Where do i buy my plane ticket to Orchid Bay?
Also the university might want to put there Commencement office close to the water
The Temple should be as remote as possible and have no view of the city to preserve its exposure

Why dont have a themepark?
We do, there are two! One in Twochurch, one in the downtown!

For the abandoned rail line, I’d say it would look better if the track pieces were connected with each other as well as the main line.
I was like 666 .. :/
Im not a local but dang i find that tower ugly
Time to move on to CS2
I am covering both. Right now CS2 is crap.
