There are a few simple calculations necessary to get the answer. This video shows the odds of correctly selecting 6 winning numbers out of 49. However these calculation steps can be applied to other lotto style of games with more or less numbers.

Tell me something i don't know, everybody knows that how to figure that out.
The odds of getting struck by lightning in any given year are approximately 1 in 500,000. Most people live their entire lives without getting struck even once. Now, the chance of winning Lotto 6/49 is equivalent to getting struck by lightning 28 times in a year. Just imagine that.

My brother in law won 25 mil a few years back. In Ontario. He is not an idiot. He had a system for picking his numbers and only started playing about a month before he won. He hasn't played since, though, so I am curious if his system would work again.

You are better off picking 14 to 18 numbers and then spend a couple hundred bucks making your pics from those numbers.
Last draw of 100 million the numbers were so weird. I forgot exactly the number but it was something like 25 26 27 48 49 52 ...

If you invest $ 14 million dollars ofand play all the combinations of lotto 6/49, you would defintely win the jackpot. But the issue is that you would lose $13 million and worse if someone wins the jackpot, he/she will share the $ 1 million with you. Therefore, It is not worth investing a lot of money. It takes only one combination to win if you are extremely lucky.

Iv met 2 6/49 winners, 1 maxmillion winner and heard about various other significant amount winners and they all have 1 thing in common.. They all played autopicks.. Why these numbers?
I don’t understand why you have to devided by 720 if theres 49 number your chances of picking the first number is 49 since one of the number have pick number cannot be double. Your chances on second number is 48 ect .ect .
So 49x48x47x46x45x44=10,068,347,520
Example if the number to choose is only up to 10 and you only need to choose 1 how many chane do you have then it will be 10
Then what about if you have to pick 2 numbers your chances is 90. The chances are
1-2 1-3 1-4 1-5 1-6 1-7 1-8 1-9 1-10…ect
2-1 2-3 2-4 2-4 2-6 2-7 2-8 2-9 2-10….

The lotto is a scam. The lotto corporation is owned partly by the government and that's how the government gains financial gains. Like a casino slots. The draw is manipulated.

tbh i thought it was a lot worse. so i havent slept in a couple days BUT! if the prize is 14 mill ( in this hypothetical idea ) and i have a 1 in 14 million chance of winning. then my break even would be to buy a ticket for 1 dollar. so a lotto 649 ticket minimum is 3 bucks. the prize would have to be more then 42 million for you to have the statistical advantage over a billion years?

The number is choose for luck are 1, 7, 11, 13, 23, and 44. The fact is 1+7=8 + 13 = 21 + 23 = 44. Now I divide 44 from 4 = 11.

I understand your calculations, you are justifying the government. Now, that is somewhat false because often, there is no winner. So the odds are quite often 0 - zero.
To say that the odd is on out of close to 14 million, presuppose there is a winner. The reality is that not all combinations are purchased, then the odds that someone wins is quite a lot more than the Lotto propaganda, in my opinion, but I am not math inclined, you are.
