"Disco pants and haircuts."
"This place has got everything."
Forever in top contention for greatest film car chase of all time.
The bluesmobile seems to suffer no damage despite half demolishing a mall.
It's divinely protected.
I thinking that too! How many were used for this scene
Joseph Mullin those old Dodge police cars were pretty tough cars back then. Same deal with the police package 440 engine.
“...cause it’s got cop tires, cop motor...”
If you watch the DVD version with the deleted scenes, it explaines how the blues mobile gets it's "super powers". Jake parks it under a transformer when they go to his apartment.
Lots of space in this mall
Yep
Funniest situation in films I've ever seen.
I said that with my Mom the first time we walked into a new mall (that was 3 stories) a few years ago. Being one of my family's favorite movies - she lost it 😂🤣😁👍👍
R.IP toys r us 1948-2018
Actually Toys R Us was never in that mall in real life. Walgreens held that space but they wanted to have nothing to do with that movie.
just one more thing Amazon's killed.
Toys R us died long before. Only idiots still shop in stores.
@@dvferyance Really that's quite interesting dvferyance
technology productions 2018 Dude,it just revived.
This is a great way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Blues Brothers by enjoying one of these iconic car chases from the movie.
So glad my dad turned me onto these great classic flicks easily one of my favs movies ever
The car chases and crashes in this movie was AWESOME
Best movie of all time hands down. Best soundtrack of all time hands down! Any day!
Rollers. Haven't heard that term in forever lol
Rollers...... " no!" " Yeah" "SHIT!"
2:07 when the cop car floats back down off that curb, just perfect. Will forever be one of my favorite car related scenes from any movie.
A lot of STAX in this movie which makes it great.
Baby clothes... This place has got everything! =)
Pier 1 Imports...
Lots of space in that mall
Easily one of the top ten movie car chases of all time.
EVERYTHING about this movie is CLASSIC
The MUSIC in the mall scene is CLASSIC BLUES BROTHERS ALL DAY
The Blues Brothers are a menace.
The guy running into the camera at 6:12 kills me every time. 😂
OMG, I never noticed that!
There is a woman at 3:48 that gets took out my the display shelf.
Metomadness- I never noticed that before.
I bet she got hurt.
She runs into the counter, then gets hit by the debiris from behind, gets buried and pushed into the counter
Rip JCPenny window ????-1980 6:14
Ima let you finish, but....
The Blues Brothers was the greatest movie of all time! OF ALL TIME!
they sure don't do awesome stuff like this anymore
They dont do anything good anymore
What about Baby Driver?
They try too hard to be unoffensive these days. Unless you want to offend white males.
@@ryanmomtahan4786 yeah but it does not have enough awesomeness to give me interest like this movie
@@elwoodblues9613 they need to stop doing that and just make a great movie for everyone to enjoy not for those SJW assholes.
Sam and Dave playing in the background o 8 track of all styles of recording is epic !!!
Without a doubt my favorite MUSICAL of all time……… We’re on a mission from GOD !
This movie was a classic
John Bowan correction:. This movie IS a classic
I've seen this movie dozens of times, and for some reason I always find it hilarious at 5:24 when the one cop car just deliberately cuts through Pier 1 Imports. Like, they're on a straightaway, both cops were lined up down the line, and the one just makes a bee-line in and out of Pier 1. Not sure why, but that cracks me up.
“You want out of this parking lot? OK!”
Proceeds to destroy a mall…
Love how they are crashing into stores on purpose 😂😂😂
Dan Aykroyd did some awesome driving!!!!
"I'm gonna catch that sucka if it's the last thing i ever do" ( Trooper Mount)
U.S.A. WARRIOR I bet that black cop is Cable's cop father, the cop from the second movie.
"They broke my watch."
@@biguy617 Cab Callaway (Curtis) is his father.
Juanesha Franklin I meant the man that raised him. Curtis was his biological father
It very nearly was.
I love how the dialogue at 0:12 fits so good with the song
@Adil Jadot Sam & Dave - Soothe Me
The timing of that bit is one of my favourite pieces in film. It just works so well and naturally.
You are right! I also love how at 2:35 the squeaking of the car tires fits to the playing song. The whole movie just seems like a very long song to me, because I watched it so often, especially in my childhood.
If you listen to anything long enough, you are going to hear it as music at some point .
Dang never noticed that
One of the greatest movies ever.....now ripping thru that mall like this would of been a blast.....so much fun
One of the greatest movies, ever!!!
Never understood the mall scene as a kid. As an adult, watching them smash the epitome of 80s consumerism is soooo satisfying.
Filmed in 1979 but yeah.
