We'll never see car chases like this film again. Most of the budget went toward the end of the film and the mall chase. This movie is criminally underrated for it's chase sequences.
I agree they did get themselves in a lot of trouble, but they were doing everything they could to save the orphanage and keep it from closing . They are a mission from God.
Funny, I never noticed before. The National Guard showed up in half tracks. As far as I know, they were not made after WWII so I doubt any units still had half tracks in service. Maybe they were a WWII reenactment group that the Blues Brothers upset. Along with the Illinois NAZI's, the good ol boys, police, carrie fisher. Did I forget anyone?
@ the kind of manpower that comes after these two is something you’d expect to come after villains like Shredder, Joker, Lex Luthor, Mojo Jojo and Green Goblin.

Welll... except for the one in Blues Brothers 2000.
I can't imagine a G-D EV car chase. Ludacris.
Jake and Elwood got 'emselves a six star wanted level...
That's how it's done kids. 😉
This movie did everything to excess!
The Statues *know* that car had done the impossible.
God held their car together just long enough for them to get there.

A timelessly adventurous classic.
7:14 remember at this point theres still men pouring into the building.
The first prisoner to jump up and start dancing to Jailhouse Rock is Joe Walsh.
Was a 106 mile drive to Chicago, thanks to the full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, while it was dark, and wearing sunglasses 😎
Greatest movie
The best movie in the world...

Classic
Villain is signing the bill.
7:13 are all the cops, soldiers and firefighters in this clip really necessary for just two men?
With the amount of property damage they have under their belt and who knows what else. Anything less would be insulting.
@ the kind of manpower that comes after these two is something you’d expect to come after villains like Shredder, Joker, Lex Luthor, Mojo Jojo and Green Goblin.
Yes, so is the use of unnecessary violence in apprehending them.
@ you mean the way doors are wrecked just to get to the blues brothers?
Yes. And the use of unnecessary force was approved.
6:12 Steven Spielberg cameo
*WTF is a **_Military Troupe?_* 🤨😒
I think he spelled it wrong I think he meant troops.
