Thanks for the video. A common problem is know that if you take too long to fill the oil back ip again on the engine the oil pump drains out and looses prime, upon start-up it wouldn't prime even with the 7 liters of oil and that is the end of the bearings...

Good stuff I just purchased an 07 defender here in Canada and I'll be doing a compete fluid change in the coming weeks thanks for the great videos I wasn't sure about changing the fuel filter but now I know what to do. 👍

Many people don’t understand the importance of fitting the new O-Ring seal to the oil filter housing when changing the filter. As the old O-Ring has been under compression for so long it can loose it’s shape and ability to seal perfectly, thus possibly causing a bad leak further down the track.
The trick of pre-filling your fuel filters can mean the difference between your Diesel engine starting quickly & easily or it taking lots of cranking time to pressurise your fuel lines sufficiently to get fuel to your injectors.
Where possible, pre-filling your oil filter is also a good idea to prevent possible damage thru lack of lubrication.

Thanks for the comment Grahame, yes maybe I should have put some oil in the engine LOL. This was just an engine service so the next video will be the serpentine drive belt, and a third video on gearbox oil, transfer case oil and the two diffs. Appreciate you watching mate - Safe Travels! Warren.
