I saw this concert in philly with queensryche opening. I was 13 and in metal heaven.
Nothing like a concert at the Spectrum back in the day. 🤘🤘🤘
No mobile phones = class concerts
Agree 👍👍 saw them 2x overseas in Germany when I was there
Just lighters held up !! 🤘
Mate no one cares about phones. During Maiden, Bruce told us to raise our phones during children of the damned.
yet here we are watching this because someone brought a camera to this legendary concert.. imagine if nobody brought a camera to it.. all this would be lost
@@shadowproductions969 the phones them selfs are not the problem, it's the people who are on their phones during the concert and that turns down the whole mood and energy of it and the people who filmed this probably weren't hired by metallica
The '89 Seattle concert has a rawness and aggression to it that I really like. I love watching youngish bands in their "we are going to kick your ass!" years. I need to pull out Binge and Purge again for another watch.
not gonna lie ; san diego 92 is my personal fav concert
@@Makaveli13Xroy I think IMO San Diego 1992 is there best live sound they ever had but Seattle is more raw I mean the whole black album tour was there best live sound
Any Metallica song is absolutely mental. That's why it's so damn good.
I saw them in '88 at Monsters of Rock and then in '89 on this tour. The energy was insane.
I was lucky enough to see Metallica in 1989 and justice for all tour in both San Antonio and Austin TX and it was incredible, so loud and intense. In Austin I was near the front of the stage in center in front of James Hetfield. I still consider it the best time to see Metallica was 1989, I have seen them at least twenty times live and they never disappoint!! My favorite band of all time!
I still got the Metallica box set on VHS. Live shit binge and purdge. The best ever.
React all Seattle songs, its the best concert.James is fking amazing.
That ending was fucking BADASS!🤘🤘
If you get the "Binge and Purge" live box set you can watch this concert in it's entirety plus two other full concerts. I highly recommend that you do. Plus there's audio recordings of the concerts on CD
This and I'm sure their San Diego 1992 concert are both on UA-cam and in 720 and i think 1080P HD🤘🤘
Them g the man love all you together you all are kicking ass and of course my favs keep rocking together can you believe they been doing this for 40 years think about the metal they are still kicking ass today more metallica
We need more 1989 SEATTLE
MOREEEEEEEEEE 1989 SEATTLE
Or 1991 San Diego........ The Four Horseman
This concert was the best concert forever. Because the song" The thing that should not be" is the best riff on this evening.
I saw this tour in Providence, RI. Queensryche was the backing band, one of my all time favorites! The energy of the show, and crowd, was unbelievable. If you didn't know the words, it didn't matter, because everyone was focused solely on the stage! And if you want to time travel back to see the show, you better make sure you go back to the time and place the tickets went on sale, because this tour was completely sold out. My friend Brian, and I, got up early on a snowy Saturday morning to get a number to wait in line, and then we waited in my car until right before the Ticketron computers started the sale. It was crazy! We were so happy, though, but had to wait several months before the actual show. It was well worth it! 🤘💖
Loooooveeeee them ! Love this song! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Lars used to be my fave drummer and I still love Kirk's guitar!! Oh and of course, James' unique voice! Yes please! BTW this iconic song will live into infamy!! And back in the day, Metallic had some of the most loyal fans all over the world than any other.... and to this day, you will see the crowds still moshing. lol
I was at this show. I have been to a lot of concerts since but this is still the best show I ever went to.
If you didn’t see them live back then you have no idea what they were like, when James would bring out the explorer we all knew the older ones were coming
This is a super reaction . It gives to me good vibes
I've been to 3 shows where the crowd was singing the songs so loud I couldn't even hear my own voice in my own head as I was sing along
This is exactly how Metallica created their followers forever!!
That riff at 4:20 is just plain sick, might be the best rock riff I've ever heard.
Two friends of mine, brothers who are metal to the core, were at this very concert and the video doesn't show how insane the concert really was. It was far beyond mental according to their stories. BTW, when James hits that phrase, "It's the last time to WILL!!!" all of your reactions are priceless. Love this channel.
That ode to Hendrix at the end was so epic and Kirks smile was priceless
The Seattle 1989 concert has to be their Best, or one of Metallica's Best ever. This is by FAR my favourite performance of my favourite Metallica song🤘🤘. Jason is Great on their Best intro, James's vocals are LOUD and this is the Best James has ever sounded. Lars is Great, and Mr. Hammett also sounds Great. All 4 of the Lads are intense and focused 🤘🤘🔔
Awesome jam yeah, live is even better 🎸🎸🎸🥁🎶🎤👏😎🤘
Back in the day when Metallica ruled the world. I miss this Metallica!!!
This is good, but the 1985 Day On The Green version featuring Cliffs killer bass intro will always be the best one.
Totally agree with you on that one, my favourite one as well. Cliff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
you should check out them doing One on the 89 Grammy awards this is what got me into them i was 18 not into metal but this and Guns n roses doing Patience on the 89 AMA'S another one you have to check out.
I was at that concert!! NOT ON THE FLOOR!! One of the most insane shows I have ever seen!! You should check out the four housemen!!
Firts time I saw them was back in 1992 one month before the Olimpic Games in Barcelona, the Generalitat wanted to test the runways and fire doors at the Stadium. In That concert played, Motley Crue, Black Crowers, Niagara, Metallica and AC/DC. We could see Metallica playing 30 seconds of High Way To Hell, another 30 seconds of Let There be Rock and another 30s of Whole Little Rosie. And then James ask to the audience, "you like rock n roll? I said do you like Rock n Roll", he was shouting and then guess what they play - yes that one "I've got something to say I kill your baby today..."! The Last Caress by Misfits. As a AC/DC fanatic I'll never forget what they played in that stage in that day!
I very much like this format with all you together....
I was there! Down front for a couple songs. Had to get out cause exhaustion. No broken nose tho 😂
I wish I was at this concert. If back to the future was ever real, my first destination would be this concert, ha.
Been waiting for a Seattle 89' for whom the bell tolls reaction for awhile from any reaction channel really.
For some reason I just love yelling "Cliff!!"
I’ve sent them 5 times one time front row in Dallas , great channel, proper channel. 🤓
Fun fact the album bells were the original notre dame bells
Their the best band in world live , and yeah it’s crazy. God of Rock 🔥
Yes, hellYeeeaaahhhh
I love how Lars goes apeshit on the drums.
he do that everytime on this song at the ending
Lars is so underrated as to how he ramps up at the end of this and many other songs.
One of the laziest drummers I know of.
@@travisfoster1071 Back then, No way.
Put your retro actives concept for yourself.
You re too predictible.
Lars was great
And By the way Eric carr ( not a bad drummer ;) ) was huge fan over Lars drumming back then , and said Lars was a great drummer.
Awesome!!!
In their prime ❤❤❤❤
Of all the requests from Them G has sent to you he has not sent what so many people considers to be Metallicas best song Metallica: The Shortest Straw (Washington, D.C. - July 17, 1992)
I would disagree and only because i watched that show, the sound was terrible to me. Maybe it was the video, but it was not good in my opinion. One of the greats by metallica
right on point, that tune is bad a**. we were jammin to the shortest straw in the eighties.
The Metallica boys have come here......to KICK! YOUR! ASSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
They were watching this already
Nice and best reaction ❣️❣️
This concert alone should be selected by the Library Of Congress for preservation in the National Recording Registry, along with Master Of Puppets!!
You guys are awesome
You guys really need to react to TEMPASHOT!
One of the most original and also exciting new thrash bands coming through. You must watch do Social Cesspit video.
The four of you look like you are at a drive-in theater, in a 1977 Buick Skylark, drop top, watching that concluding scene from "Taxi Driver" where Travis Bickle saves Jodi Foster.
Yasss…..!!! BadASS!!!! Time travel invented for SEATTLE’89 METALLICA… nuff SAID
Awesome 🤟👍
GOAT
It's the metal militia which is also an epic song off kill em all
The next song they were about to play right after Kirk ended that solo was Sanitarium. You guys need to react too that as well!
Jason❤
Metallica's in a league of their own. Nobody can touch them. NOBODY.
The Kings 🤘
The guitar solo Kirk does here and think Jason does a bass solo too, not sure of when, but it's a loud and powerful evocation. I might be thinking of one of their Mexico City shows featured in Live Sh!t: Binge & Purge. Either way, it'll melt your face off. 🤘
THe actual opening riff of the song is played on the bass . If you want to see areal good version of it , check out the Cliff em All version (tribute to late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton)
Jason Newsted, the BEST Bassist Metallica EVER had!
Back when metal was that metal.
Hi you all. You have to check something about Metallica and Lars.. LARS ULRCH DRUM SOLO. For sûre yu will all love it. 10mn long vidéo, must be watched.
One Love from Paris, France
Heaviest concert’s heaviest song
Kirk the Ripper! 🤘
Fun fact…Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl from Nirvana were at this concert and actually hung out with Metallica after this show
was there done that.
Hey guys i have some recomends for you: Hämatom -- "Mörder" / "F**k das System" and "Ich weis"
Lindemann with "Blut" / "steh auf" and "Ich hasse kinder"
and a new band called Guano apes with "Lord of the bords" / "open your eyes" / "break the line" / "big in japan" (cover) and "no speech"
you will have fun withs this tracks
🤘🤘🤘
I'm Coming bro😊
To get the best version of this song you have to go back to when cliff played it ... Jason didn't have the skill to do it justice
Aug 14th in Pittsburgh I will be there pnc park Pittsburgh pirates baseball field can’t wait n I’m pretty close also
Sick
Batery from this same show next please.
Toxic masculinity at it's finest 🤘 Dope af

Okay I thought that the Suzy lady and the other lady were the same person this whole time. I seriously thought the blonde woman was her without makeup and hair color. XD
Better loose the eyepatch dude.
@@tjerkkorving yeah now that I see them both together it's so obvious. XD
That one was good but live in Moscow 1991 enter Sandman was better 1.6 million people
I have watched both, the size of the crowd in russia is wild but the seattle show is the best recorded metalica show of all time by far, that was metal
I need more S&M and if you haven't heard it you should be slapped
