nice to see someone that actually knows his ROCK....all other channels r just copying each other...
if you d like to see how good vinnie was, there is a ald guitar instruction video from the time guitar players made instruction videos on YT.
u remember saxon ??/ pat travers??? frank marino???
She needs to hear “That Time of Year”
Vinnie was one of the, if not they most self-destructive musicians to ever come along. He was literally handed the golden ring when he was with KISS. But because he refused to sign contracts, he refused to sigh the insurance contracts and venue contracts that come along with playing in a major touring band, and his unwillingness to be a team player, he went from being in a position to not only become one of the most respected guitarists/song writers in a generation, to now being nothing but a footnote in KISSTORY. He could have truly been great.
On top of that he would end up fired from his own band by the label (Chrysalis) for over-extending his credit and charging anything and everything back to them. Chrysalis would end up keeping singer Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum on contract to form a new band, which would end up being the much-more-successful Slaughter. They even did a song about Vinnie called "Burning Bridges" that appeared on their debut _Stick it to Ya_ .
mark slaughter owes ALOT to vinnie.if not being the frontman for vinnie vincent invasion the band slaughter wouldnt even have existed.@@zmbdog
And without KISS, Vinnie would still be a nobody named Vincent Cusano. Slaughter made it on their own material. Slaughter may not have formed as it is without them being in VVI but don't act like Vinnie handed Mark a career. @@marywise7661
add, Don Felder, to that group
@@marywise7661 Mark Slaughter was fortunate that Chrysalis had power over him and Vinnie Vincent and it was Chrysalis that selected "the kid." The kid who was Slaughter was put in Invasion because of Chrysalis (not Vincent(; never Vincent. Vincent had no say over this, even though he was and is a great guitarist but he had limited power even though he was in Kiss.
Mark and Dana paid their dues and that is life. March 2024. USA
Mark Slaughter…great voice+great looks=total package. I met him backstage once and he was so nice. Took a pic with me and I looked like a deer in headlights haha
I have heard he is a great guy and generous with the fans.
@@flickeringboxofficialMark and Blas were the only two who stayed and talked to us. They talked about music in general and it was so interesting. My friend was talking to Mark and got on the subject of Babylon A.D. and Mark randomly started singing the chorus of “Bang Go The Bells” and of course it was amazing. Such a fun memory
This album is so great and I’m so upset it was taken off all the streaming platforms.
I know, I had it on my Amazon music and then poof, it's gone.
@@flickeringboxofficialyeah that’s unfortunate. You can still listen to it on UA-cam music as videos.
Thats why you buy stuff on cd or at least as downloads
@@maxmustardman298 yeah 👍
@@flickeringboxofficial its back on spotify
Vinnie is a guitar virtuoso but it's too bad that his other issues got in the way of what could have been a long and incredible career. I'm a Slaughter fan and used to wear out my Stick It To Ya album. Great reaction. 🙌✌️
Everybody needs to go back to the 80's and experience the amazingness of everything about it!! This was awesome, song, video etc.😊 where is the time machine? I wanna go back. 👍
Still gotta do Dangerous Toys "Scared". It's not on any horror movie soundtrack but a great metal Halloween song, plus the song was written to an homage to Alice Cooper. You could also do Fastway "Trick Or Treat". Another great Halloween rocker.
This was a good song, on a good album. Then VV went off the deep end, mentally. I believe the song Burning Bridges on the debut Slaughter album was about VV.
it was
1000%
Dana Strum on Bass … Here with Vinnie Vincent and with Mark Slaughter in the Band Slaughter…
Don't forget Dana Strum, the bass player from Slaughter was also VVI's bass player as well.
Slaughter has so many great songs whether with Vinnie or without. Sounds like Alexa would like Fly To The Angels, days gone by,
Song That time of year is even better
Krokus head hunter and the blitz album 1982 and 1984. Every song on these albums a hit and headpins turn it loud 1982. Every song a hit.and headpins three albums after that line of fire, head over heels and greatest hits. 1983,1985,1988.
I never realized Mark Slaughter was in this band, great singer and a guitarist
Thats Dana Strum on bass here too.
I have always felt the same about Mark Slaughter. I love the lyrics, too.
I don't know what is scarier, Halloween or all the flammable hairspray this week, lol.
What I wouldn't give to go back in time to the mid-'70s and buy a crap-ton of stock in AquaNet👍
Sometime in the future, you have to react to the band Nelson, since the Drummer here, Bobby Rock, was in that band, and then everyone in this video is covered. Dana Strum and Mark Slaughter, both in the band Slaughter, or maybe Kiss, from the "Lick it up" album, which included Vinnie Vincent. Great song though!
Ohhhhhh you found a true treasure here! I LOVED Vinnie's work in KISS, especially on the "Creatures of the Night" album, and as you say his creativity was boundless, but the man just could NOT get out of his own way, and it breaks my heart. The lineup he had with the young Marc Slaughter was a powerhouse and "All Systems Go" is a masterpiece. But...sadly...Vinnie was one of those artists that was never happy. I understand...the writer/film director I worked with for many years was the same. He was never truly happy with anything he did...no matter how many people loved it. There's a video here on UA-cam in which Marc talks about how he landed his gig with VVI and how hard he fought to prove himself. He was very respectful about Vinnie...Marc Slaughter is a true metal warrior through and through! Awesome vid...thanks for uploading!
Dana strum from slaughter was in the band also and when they left Vinnie the formed slaughter, also Vinnie was a great guitarist from his time in kiss to his solo stuff
I remember calling around for days trying to find this on CD. Still have the CD in my Jeep. Hasn't left any of my cars since 1988. Man I'm old.
Such a nicely crafted song. 🤘🏻. And Bobby Rock on drums!
Fun. Didnt know about this song.
Great song , good reaction. That song should have been huge tho. It is cool to see Alexis crushing on Mark. It reminds me of a lady friend that is no longer with us unfortunately. We went to see Slaughter & she kept saying he is so cute and she kept grabbing my hand to move to the front.😂 I can’t remember if you have a showed her Fly to the Angels. Also show her more of the Skid Row ballads. 🔥Thank you both!🙏🏼❤️🤘🏼🍺
Vinnie was good, awesome cool song yay, awesome band 🥁🎸🎸🎸🎤🎶🤘😎🤘
Such a great song. I remember it being somewhat big on Dial-MTV back in the day. It's interesting that they downplayed the glam even in '88, when it was at its peak. Amazing song. Mark's voice is stellar. This album was huge for me. I was 13, when music was making a huge impact in my life.
VV is amazing and many didn't know about Mark Slaughter before Slaughter.
"Love Kills" by VVI is one of the greatest songs of the genre. The song itself tells a story, and it builds up as one. Starting softly with the acoustic guitar and Mark's soft voice, then building up and breaking down again for the soft melodic part to then build up again to the chorus and later releasing all the emotions built up until that point in the beautiful guitar solo. This song is a masterpiece and you're right, the music video itself is so cinematic and goes well with the movie's story. Another song I'd recommend from that album is "That Time of Year" which, along with "Love Kills" is one of my favorite songs ever (which I myself covered).
And yes, Alexis has a beautiful speaking voice, she could be a singer if she wanted.
i'm with ya on Mark....love his voice and he is not hard on the eyes either..lol
Mark is not only extremely talented. He's truly the nicest and hardest working guy in Rock-N-Roll! The guy lives, eats, and breathes music 🎶 🎵
And his dedication and appreciation to his fans is absolutely real and from the heart ❤️ Believe me, I saw it first hand!
God bless and take care...
Loved this album and this song!!!keep on sharing the great music of the past with Alexia 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
MTV had a special promoting part 4 when this came out, and they showed the VJ Ken Ober looking for Freddy I Freddy grabs Vinnie. Haha
Don't forget Slaughter Bassist Dana Strum was in this band too. =)
This Music Video By The Group Was Made For My Favorite A Nightmare Movie A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 The Dream Master The Best In The Series It Also Celebrated It's 35Th Anniversary 8/19/23 Happy Birthday ❤🎉😊
This will be your jackpot of all live video. Headpins live in dortmund1984 and headpins ,club soda,Vancouver,sept12 1985. These guys will blow any other band off the map.
8.4K views in 2 weeks. I think i must have been 3K of those watching this!..lol. Burch you're great and I love your stories but i'm sorry, I come back over and over again to watch Alexis
dana strum has such a fantastic BOOM to his bass. i love it
As much as I absolutely LOVED Dokken's killer stuff in the 80s, including the Nightmare on Elm Street 3 stuff....Love Kills and That time of Year from Vinnie Vincent Invasion's debut album are two of my all-time favorite songs. Mark Slaughter is one of my all-time favorite vocalists, as well.
Holy cow, I forgot that in the video, Vinnie has Freddie's knife glove for his pick slide. That was so epic.
I literally just happened upon your channel, and I am blessed that I did. You guys should do a King Diamond song, such as Welcome Home (the live version is so intense).
Probably my favorite VVI song, besides Back on the Streets
Check out vinnie vincent invasion- live at rock ‘n’ roll heaven, Toronto,Canada,USA,18.07.1988(full show)
Thanx, I forgot how awesome this song was.
Great song ,and that time of year is also aa great song / with Mark Slaughter on vocals, glad i have them on my ipod, wish these songs could be on touchtunes to play at bars!!!
I got this back in the early 2000s when I was in college. Great album! Mark was vocally at his best!
I agree with Paul Stanley about Vinnie. He's very self destructive even in his music. I was surprised when I heard the solo to this song. He actually keeps it in line with the song. In others it seems like he just wants to be fast.
Vinnie Vincent full consort Toronto 1986.
Vinnie put his heart into his band...he couldn't handle the pressure, my opinion
Check out a cover song
Slaughter - Rocky mountain way
the guitar melody reming me the song «dreaming (Tell me)» by Malmsteen
I can hear that Frank. I love that song and Joe Lynn Turner is a brutally underrated singer.
Blast from the past, I LOVE this song - you are absolutely right, a superb album all round
I loved this song when it came out! Been so long since I've heard it! Thanks for bringing back a high school memory!
You forgot Dana Strum, the bassist, was also in Slaughter😁
Vinnie Vincent Invasion is basically Slaughter without Vinnie. Dana's a cool guy. Meet him with VVI, after they did their set, he came out in the crowd and stood next to my seat and signed autos for the kids. He talked the whole time with my girlfriend and me while he signed autos. They opened for Iron Maiden that show. Mark didn't record the first album but he replaced the singer for that tour.
Este Lp es uno de los mejores de toda la historia del rock
I might just watch A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master tonight! It was a blast seeing it in the theater.
Such an amazing song
Its a beautiful song. Good changes. Killer drums. I enjoyed this listen
Still rock this song till this day
'that time of year'...another song from VVI and sung by Mark, try listening to that
Just wanted to show you guys/ladies some love. Not a lot I can add to, so I’m just gonna enjoy reacting , to your reaction. And Alexis gets prettier every time I see her. So much love and light to both your families.❤️🎃🌟
I've seen Slaughter 3 times. Back in 1990, I saw them open for KISS for the Hot in the Shade Tour. They were fantastic and made me a fan for life. This song really expresses the pain and longing you feel as a teenager in love. After seeing and loving Dream Warriors in the theater, I didn't have any desire to continue with the series. Mainly because Nancy wasn't going to return. I've only seen The Dream Master once, and watched it for the first time maybe 10 years ago. It actually wasn't bad for a fourth entry in the franchise.
Awesome song and album, my favorite is that time of year, epic ❤🔥
Great song good group
Hello again you two did another Awesome reaction to the Soundtrack for Nightmare on Elm Street 4 the best part of this music video is where Vinny was wearing Freddy's glove as he motions and slide's the glove up the neck of the guitar to make it seem like he was attacking it with killer riff's great sound all around as well in the video even though they didn't do a upgrade to the video as you remastered the video. I think that song could played in many other movies if given the chance.
Wow deep dive on this one!
My name is Chris and I love every reaction to every video y'all play because the best part is that you both have open minds and don't crap on something because it's not from your era or favorite genre. I especially like to see Alexis reacting to music I never thought she'd hear, like this song and Dokken and Warrant, and for that I think Burch is awesome cuz he knows his stuff and doesn't come across as a know-it-all, but rather a teacher of what the bands, songs and that era was all about. This is my favorite channel on the entire internet.
That is extremely kind to say, thank you very much! Don't miss the live show this Tuesday @7pm, it is going to be a lot of fun.
Yessssss!!!!!! On of my fav Mark Slaughter vocals!
Really good song I really think he sounds like Mark Slaughter
A real blast from the past, thank you!
Great song! I really hate that they cut this version up in the remaster.
Had this on cassette ashes to ashes❤
the both of you are great
It took me until probably 2003 to get Mark's screeching vocals out of my head. He's like human tinnitus. Love you guys anyway. 😉
Really i love Vinnie Vincent he is really a great musician, and this album is amazing.
Nothing wrong with loving Mark Slaughter! The best voice in hair metal. Period.
Vinnie is a true tortured genius
Good group
You should get her to react to time of year by vinnie Vincent invasion!❤🤟
We talked about it, that is her next Slaughter / VVI song
Fully appreciating the comments, the music, and that D&D shirt. That's a great topic for your channel, is the Satanic Panic.
Vinnie also sang background vocals with Mark.
i have and always will be a vinnie vincent fan.he was an outstanding song writer and player.mark slaughter owes him ALOT .if not for vinnie slaughter never would have been started.was he difficult to work with? whose to say? unless we know both sides of a story we cannot believe only one side.he helped kiss ALOT as well.writing songs not only for creatures of the night.the night but lick it up.a very handsome man as well.i have both vinnie vincent invasion ablbums still but their second is still my favorite.i love this song.thank you so much for responding to it
It's time to revisit Vinnie Vincent Invasion / Slaughter please.
Love watching your videos I hope you do something about on kiss before their last concerts
And mark was great, happy his band slaughter did so well
Mark's solo stuff is awesome! Supernatural is a great song, so is halfway there. You should give a listen.
Looks like Alexis and Mark could share the same bloodline
The power ballad maestro..Slaughter was more than the voice, but dude has it 🎙️‼️🎬
Great Song !!! Takes me back to Highschool. Too bad this video had the edited guitar solo.
Alexis, since you like Mark Slaughter's voice and look. Listen to "That time of Year" where he sings with Vinnie Vincent's band.
You should do April Wine's "Rock Myself To Sleep" from the movie Fright Night!!!!
마크 너무 사랑합니다^^
I want to meet a woman like you who is so well put together
Gotta do Deborah Holland Come To Me and Tuesday Knight Running From This Nightmare
Vinnie Vincent started his own band, producing some great rock music. Then the rest of the band kicked Vinnie out, due to his disputes that always popped up, and with some further changes became Slaughter.
Found her rock star crush.
I think, sometimes from different angles Vinnie looks like young Hetfield
I presume this was post VV in KISS.
You would be correct. Slaughter is really just VVI without Vinnie due to Vinnie being an unbelievable chode. Listen to Burning Bridges on Slaughters debut album its all about Mr Cusano.
I love this song, its a great example of how great VV songwriting was. I prefer the first album, Fleischmann vocals sounds better to me, and also, I'm more a fan of the agressive sound of the first record.
Check out songs from stick it to you and wild life both loaded great songs
What is the relationship between the two of them? Are they coworkers, family, etc???? just curious how they know one another. new to the channel. love your shows
Thank you and welcome, here is our intro video and we a live show every Tuesday here on UA-cam. Join us, we answer questions from the chat in real time and sometimes take live phone calls. ua-cam.com/video/Kp-qS6Djl6c/v-deo.html
Vinnie was and still is extremely weird. Without Mark Slaughter he would never gotten as far as he did.
How about "Sword and Stone" from the Shocker soundtrack
Not sure we will get it in this year but we will try Jeffrey
looks like the guy from slaughter.
you should react to boyz are gonna rock and watch Mark lipsinc to Roberts vocals...lol
