I have the Benchmade Mediator and it is an incredible, snappy, all-round great knife. I’ve carried it every day for the last several months. Bought it just before the pandemic and it’s been my companion throughout this weird, weird time. Buy one - you won’t be disappointed!

The Kershaw Launch series are excellent knives for different purposes. I don't know exactly what number Launch I bought but I purchased 2 knives, one for myself and one for my daughter. The Launch knives I bought are serrated, black in color and about 6 inches long. My daughter also loves it.
Blade HQ great video but you guys need to put in the title “Californians don’t watch, you’ll just end up raging” 🤣. Kershaw is trying with the launch but the length just kills me emotionally lol.
I own an AKC knife and when I found that company I was really HAPPY because they actually delivered to the city I reside in. You can tell the AKC knives are well built and you get a variety of colors to choose from. The AKC knives are sharp and the action is crisp.
My favorite auto knifes are 2 inch long drop point aka fillet blade, heavy duty stainless for fishing; 6 inch tanto saw back with hook by the base of the knife blade, titanium, black color for edc, and the basic saw back tanto, black color, and deep pocket clip. All the knives need to be non-reflecting, heavy duty, reliable, and easy to maintain.
Do you not realize that the lock can also be used when the blade is in the open position? I've always thought that was more of the reason for one. That way is you are using the knife for hard use you can actuate the extra lock so even if you accidentally press the firing button it won't fold up on your hand. It's not just for making sure it won't fire in your pocket.
Have 3 Kalashnikov's, an AUS-8, a D2 and an S30v. All drop points. I've carried one of these every day for the last 3 years, and open them 30-50 times a day for everything from opening boxes to splitting CAT5 wire to slicing summer sausage. Love these knives, but they're cheap enough that losing one isn't the end of the world
I just got a Boker xxl Kalashnikov in desert warrior. Between the D2 blade steel and the 9" overall length, and it's awesome. Was even bigger than I thought it was going to be.
For whatever reason I keep letting you guys pull me into these videos and I always end up with at least one new knife added to the old wishlist... but that wiskers in general is awesome production or custom I dig it.

I don't believe the SOG Flash line was not mentioned perhaps because it's been discontinued! Well anyway I must tell you guys The SOG Flash knives are a great buy! They are lightweight, tactical and have a locking system just in case you have children. I have the 9400. Bought it from you guys the day it came out. I reserved it like 3 times and just canceled each time thinking I didn't need it. Talking myself out of it. I wish I kept my first reserve. May have a first production. Anyway, I'm glad i have one of the first models of its introduction because, you know this will have a long storied history too. Wish i would have went with black like my 940 but, all my blade are black and I wanted to try something different. Kind of regret it because the 9400 bk is just beautiful. May attempt to stonewash it but, 3 of the screws already stripped and yeah, benchmade please use a tougher screw. Isn't my only benchmade to strip. I hope they put serrations on these. Don't know though considering they cancelled all 940 serrations. Long story short, this has replaced my 940 as my edc. Why? Because just how simple and clean it looks. The green aluminum are the best scales ever. Especially when they get scuffed up. The body only has two screws. The auto mechanism adds to the look. Its just smooth and simple. Fun fact: I bought the last 940 serrated black off of you bladehq. Cause once i bought it, the one from your site and amazon, which you were selling, said sold out. I think that's awesome. There goes Zac finding any excuse to handle a Pro-tech custom again! I think if he finally got one he may have a knife he couldn't bring himself to beat on.
Can you do a video in this format for either front flip knives or axis style lock knives? A lot of companies are jumping on the axis lock train after the patent expiration and it would be cool to see all of those in one video like this
I just picked up the teal Launch 12. I haven't seen anyone else mention this about it, but I find the inclusion of making the pocket clip reversible really intriguing....because if you were to switch the clip to the show side of the knife, the end of the clip covers up a portion of the button! Is a lefty supposed to order a shorter clip or something? lol Also, I continue to lobby for a Launch 10 with a red handle and damascus blade. It is my dream package-opener!
I love small autos and assists. Got a Protech Runt Cocobollo I love from BHQ and a Kalishnikov Tanto Mini, but my fav is my Kalashnikov Sub D2 (sorry BHQ). It's a total pos, but I love it b/c I don't care if I drop it or lose it. I'd cry if my Runt fell victim to a hole in my pocket. My Sub D2 is hard and sharp and the paint is all worn from the skin, but this knife never fails to excite. Has as good a snap as my Runt upon deploy, which you can hear clear across the room, holds an edge from its tool steel and extra springs are avalable. Even if a cop stopped me and asked me if I had any weapons in the car and I pulled out my Sub, he'd prolly just laugh and hand it back- and if he took it, who cares? If he took my Runt, I'll end up dead.
They all seem like wonderful knives. If I had to pick one and I had the money, I don’t know how much that money is. I would pick the broker Osborne 9500. I do have a Kalashnikov which I have just purchased from your knife sale. Very snappy indeed.. However I think I would like just a little bit shorter of a blade. I also purchased the study for my son. However being that short of a pocket clip makes it feel like it wants to rip your pants pocket right off of your leg trying to put it on. Keep up the great videos.
I really dig the Kompact. Y'all could do a red and black and call it the Mortal Kompact. Hehehe... Really though, very handsome design, the style looks like a higher price point to me.

I love theses vids so I know what kind I should get next
Which one are you going to get next?
@@BladeHQ ALL OF THEM
Great video. You covered the gamut! That beautiful ProTech Magic BR-1 Actually has a titanium bolster. I think you inadvertently said aluminum.
Doh! You are correct. There were a lot of specs in this one. I thought we caught all the mistakes but that one slipped through.
Blade HQ No problem! There were more specs per second than usual! As my reward, please me send the knife 😆
just ordered the desert warrior sketch!! can’t wait!
Hello, new follower. Excellent synopsis on all the automatics. Thank you. It's a toss-up for me, Protech-SBR and the SOG.
Can you do a video in this format for either front flip knives or axis style lock knives? A lot of companies are jumping on the axis lock train after the patent expiration and it would be cool to see all of those in one video like this
It's on the list.
I love the color scheme on that 9400.
I just picked up the teal Launch 12. I haven't seen anyone else mention this about it, but I find the inclusion of making the pocket clip reversible really intriguing....because if you were to switch the clip to the show side of the knife, the end of the clip covers up a portion of the button! Is a lefty supposed to order a shorter clip or something? lol
Also, I continue to lobby for a Launch 10 with a red handle and damascus blade. It is my dream package-opener!
I like the Buck 10, but I like a sheath. Where do you get sheaths for knives that have a pocket clip?
My favorite auto is my Protech tr3. Super snappy.
Gonna go with the Lund next I'm thinking. Also want to try a Piranha.
The Kompact and the Strike were great knives! All the others as well.
Benchmade Casbah needs more love
I live in Canada so it’s a no go for auto. But I would get the ProTech Sprint in some kind of upper level finishing.
Pro-tech makes killer manuals too
@@brandonbutler7643 I want one of those Malibu! But the question from Zac was about the autos on the table.
Gotcha. I just know they do manual versions of most of their designs. Especially if you start looking at the custom model's.
You didn't tell the price on 2 of them, I think it was the Gerber 06 and the Benchmade Mediator.
The Kalashnikov has never been pegged as the best auto, but it is a great balance of price and performance. Glad you like yours.
Gotta love those boker launch knives
Wilson Combat Hogue Tanto blade. Out front auto $395👍
Hi, i have a dilemma about two knives to buy Ontario Rat-2 (Aus-8) or Spyderco Ambitious, what knife will be better? What should i buy?
I guess you could say the SBR is... perfectly balanced
I want to see a protech magic whiskers-buck 112 collaboration. Would be cool.
