So great to have a small fixed in pocket. The other day I used it for whittling a little toggle from a stick for my tarp. Most often used for opening mail tho.

Except for when at work (high security building no knives) I've always preferred fixed blade knives. From first aid situations, cutting / stripping wire and rope cutting, food prep, undoing clips field stripping animals and everything in between.

I use my fixed blade for everything I run into daily: opening packages, cutting food when I don’t want to find a clean kitchen knife, breaking down boxes, cutting myself accidentally… everything

Those Odenwolf look pretty good, I would love one, I do have a small CRKT I carry but it rides in a fanny pack as I move about and get to and from work, it's with me at work but I do not carry at work on my person but do carry a folding knife by Kizer in my pocket every day, My dress code pretty much makes the fixed blade an impossible to carry, my folding knife gets used several times a day and I also have a fixed blade I keep in my desk that is used mainly for food processing like cutting up fruit and occasionally for package and mail opening. The fixed blade in my fanny pack is with my CCW item and available for use as needed. I really like that Esee knife looks like an affordable blade and very useful shape and size. The others like the Nuge are great looking knives but I can't swing that price, well I could but for that I can but some other things I need for the family.

Btw. The Rowan on the Esee is for Rowan Manufacturing, the Idaho company that makes the knives for them.

I have an ESEE Izula that I use as my “hard use” knife. ESEE has a lifetime warranty so I’m not as worried about damaging it. I have a video on my channel about mine and how I like to carry it. If you’d like to check that out.
