  • Feeling low on energy? Living on caffeine and sugar to get through your day? Dr. Gundry sits in with the Heal Squad to discuss how and why this is happening more and more in Western civilization AND how it all begins in the gut aka what we eat. Dr. Gundry shares how "leaky gut" is the main culprit to zapping our energy and to many autoimmune diseases. He discusses what foods with lectins tear the holes that cause leaky gut and what foods can seal them. Dr. Gundy discusses the various do's and don'ts behind leaky gut along with the proper and affordable testing for leaky gut. If you're low on energy or having stomach issues of any kinds, this episode is a must listen!

    Dr. Gundry is the real deal. I've been following his Plant Paradox plan since April 2018. It has changed my life! No more pain. I can walk again. Lost 55 lbs. My husband is no longer diabetic. I just read The Energy Paradox and I HIGHLY recommend it!

    I've lost 120 pounds since May of last year on the Plant Paradox. I've been a binge eater my whole life and from day one after taking lectins out of my diet I have had not one craving for junk or one "cheat" day. I don't want to cheat because I'm super satisfied with my food that I'm eating that do not have lectins. Gundry saved my life. Type 2 is gone. Feeling weak and tingly fingers are gone. It took a few months to get rid of all those symptoms but it happened and I'm healing from the inside out.

    My grandparents were farmers in rural Illinois, they tended to feeding the animals for an hour outside in all seasons, in the dark hours before breakfast, drank no caffeine, never ate between meals, ( too busy tending crops, vegetable and flower gardens) and had plenty of e-n-e-r-g-y and never read a nutrition or health book in their lives. My grandma sadly died too young in her early 80s she drove into an oncoming truck at dusk doing chores when the light sky plays tricks on your eyes,; my grandpa developed cancer from the chemicals he treated crops with. Before we all knew better.

    Hi guys, Ive been on PPI's for acid reflux for years and want to know what can eat in order to ingest the nutrients that are not absorbed if a person has been taking these PPI's (low stomach acid) I think Magnesium is one and here are some food sources, Nuts, Tofu, seabass (farmed fish), bananas, leafy greens ALL these foods are problematic (Oxylate, lectins, phytates), B12 is found in Liver, beef, clams, Zinc is found in Oyster, Beef, sorry Im just confused how to start to replenish my nutrient stores, those that may have been depleted, thanks.

    • @ssv8364
      @ssv8364 2 роки тому +1

      Sorry for not answering your specific question but I got off PPIs a couple of years ago. I drink a spoon of apple cider vinegar (raw, organic, unfiltered, 5% acidity) diluted in a glass of water - first thing in the morning or both morning / evening before dinner. The theory is that you have heartburn not because you have too much stomach acid but because you have too little. Too little acid and the lower esophageal sphincter doesn't close completely as it has receptors that react to acidity. PPIs work because they stop stomach acid (the sphincter doesn't close but there's nothing to irritate your esophagus). But the thing is that you want to have your stomach acid. Everything in our body has a purpose. No stomach acid and you have nutrient deficiencies as you said, leaky gut, etc. I also have these pills that don't stop acid production or don't neutralize acid but when you have heartburn, they temporarily create a coating which protects from acid - www.neobianacid.com/. However, this treatment is also symptomatic and now I'm willing to try Dr. Gundry's diet to see if I can eliminate the root cause.

    • @brothercaleb
      @brothercaleb 2 роки тому +1

      @@ssv8364 can I also add that, supplementing with Betaine HCl helps to replenish acid levels in your stomach to where your body starts producing its own acid after prolonged PPIs.
      Also, ensure the gallbladder is not sluggish as is usually the case if there’s been acid insufficiency for a while. This can be mitigated with Ox Bile or Bile Acid supplementation.
      The combined use of Betaine HCL and Ox Bile helped me turn the corner to where my acid levels are pretty much sufficient. I’m now off the supplements and focussing on healing leaky gut from years of damage following PPI over usage.
      I hope this helps too.

    What's your take on seriously building muscles all your life to remain strong?. I can't imagine doing that as a sort of No. 1 priority, and I don't think its necessary for longevity. I think keeping your immune system in good nick is more important than being "musclebound". I know Betty White got to 99 yrs happily dancing around and I haven't heard that she ever used weights, but maybe she did. .I understand being strong and doing stretching exercises are advisable, but building huge muscles? Eww.
