this is the best regeneration song for doctor who
Well that isn't hard, considering that other regenerations other than 11's either had no music or the music was just meh. I really liked 11's regeneration music, but I would agree that this is better. However as a whole I think that 11 to 12's regeneration scene is more emotional and well done.
I agree, except for when he basically sneezes and out pops Peter Capaldi.
BritishSnakeHD The difference with that scene being that none of the music in that episode was written for it, it was all reused from previous episodes.
I also think his regeneration was SUPPOSED to be more emotional, he fought it held it just did -not- wanna go unlike the others who accepted it.
eleventh didn't hold it he already ran out of regeneration cycle because he is the last regeneration (technicallly) and then he got new cycle

The song itself is sad as it is but add the translation and it is just so depresssing but uplifting. The one thing the 10th Doctor knew and was burden by was the everbearing fact that no matter how much he tried he was always alone in his times of need. The Ood was probably the only one who ever acknowledged the fact and understood him. I believe that is what he needed.

Pure music. Judging by the fact that they made an actual Latin song for the tenth, it confirms that he really was a valued doctor. Definitely my favorite doctor, this music just makes his regeneration even more saddening... Well, anyways, this video was quality-filled! Thanks mdragon1801 for the epic and awesome video! Tenths regeneration was the most sad and unfair because if you do the maths you'll see that he lived way less than his other regenerations. He lived only 6 years ,regenerated at 900 and died at 906.
Knowing the lyrics makes the 10th Doctor's regeneration that much worse...

I haven't watched doctor who in about a year and this brought tears to my eyes now that I'm remembering how incredible the show is and what Tennant brought to it. Especially since it's the season I grew up watching.

My first Doctor regeneration was 9th to 10th, and that was "Fantastic! {fssssshhh} Now where was i?" done and over. 10th's however, left me in tears. and everytime i hear this song the feels get me.

I love the pic you used of David Tennant and Matt Smith at 3:31 - it reminds Dr Who fans that even though their favourite Doctor is stepping out of the show, there's always someone else waiting in the wings to take over the role, so the show will always go on.

There is a line, in day of the Doctor, spoken by Tom Baker - and he says something along the lines of 'revisiting old faces' - I wonder if that means a previous Doctor will be returning at some point? It's been driving me crazy wondering what he meant. I'd love it to be Ten.

I still love the "vale vale vale vale" part right before the "I don't wanna go" the most, and noticing that it happens 10 times just makes it hurt more when you hear it
I love the montage of doctors at the end. These the greatest actors of our time and before. To play the doctor, each with their own cult following. We grateful for them, them for us. The doctor an alien who often embodies what it means to be human. A fictional show that we relate to on a very real level. Every song must end, but in the great concert of life there is always another song. May it continue for hundreds of years.

This is, without question, one of the most powerful pieces of music that I think has yet graced Doctor Who. I can't tell you how much this chokes me up - particularly with the translation. A beautiful score and wonderful send off to Ten *sniffle*. Now, if you will kindly excuse me, I have to go break open a new box of tissues *sniffle* I miss my TEN!!!!! *bawls*

I think I remember from the 50th Special Episode that a Time Lord can regenerate into anyone maybe including past regenerations! So, if that was to be, I hope Tennant comes back, he has a huge fan base.

as they used to say in the old times... this hit me right in the feels
I don't care what anyone says. I'm incredibly excited for the 60th episodes with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Typically I AM of the mind that Doctor Who should move forward and not back, but I trust RTD to give us something really fun and special with David ahead of Ncuti's introduction. While some of his standalone pieces were hit-or-miss for me, RTD always did the best job of showing the more raw and "human" side of Doctor Who throughout his era in my opinion, and I was a big fan of that. I hope we get to see more of that going forward.

So, I think the time that the tenth doctor got to enjoy his “life” was about 6-7 years. Unremarkably short by comparison to any other doctor’s lifespan before regeneration. He wasn’t kidding when he said, “I could do so much more!” He barely got the chance to live his life.
