    • @kaziglubey4455
      @kaziglubey4455 Рік тому +3

      @@Anonyomus There's literally video on youtube of them saying that Mustis wrote the entire intro to The Serpentine Offering, but the song is credited to Shagrath, Silenoz, and Galder. Mustis has a particular style that is kind of his signature; it is pretty easy to tell just by listening what songs he contributed to. He definitely didn't get due credit. But most of their best songs from the time Mustis was there were written or co-written by him. Progenies, Insight and the Catharsis, The Promised Future Aeons, Kings of the Carnival Creation, etc. I would follow/purchase anything Mustis produced, he is one of my favorite metal musicians.

    • @Anonyomus
      @Anonyomus Рік тому +1

      @@kaziglubey4455 I agree, that's why I suspect that him becoming too powerful member (as he was the best musician in creativity, technicality and educated in the band at the time), he had to be get rid of. Dimmu Borgir would be as big of a band as before, if they wouldn't have diminished Mustis' contribution. Now they are falling in obscurity as their albums are way weaker than before.

    This is the music that introduced me to black metal in 2012. I remember the first time I've listened. I was buying some game (I believe it was Skyrim) and the salesman was dressing a shirt of In Sorte Diaboli album. I got pretty scared at first, but when I got home the first thing I've done was to search for this "Dimmu Borgir" band, and this was the first video that appeared in youtube's list. When I've heard Shagrath's voice and saw all the strange face paint and spikes, I thought "what the fuck is this sick shit" (I was sixteen and got pretty creeped out). One month later, I was listening norwegian black metal every day.

      Never heard of them before, but I'm always looking for new stuff--while I enjoy music from a lot of genres, I average 3-5 new (at least for me) metal albums a week, and I've already gone through this week's stuff (all quite good--if you're a fan of technical melodeath/melodic tech death (I've heard it called by both names, so take your pick), I would definitely recommend Barton's Odyssey by Atlantic Chronicles--just throwing that out there), so I need something to fill out tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion!

      Innerself Yes! I'm only mentioning Vortex as the best one for Dimmu Borgir, and no one can replace him despite the choirs performing his parts. It has to be done or else the live shows wouldn't go well

    Early Dimmu Borgir was absolutely beautiful Black Metal.
    Later Dimmu Borgir was incredibly epic symphonic metal.
    Modern Dimmu Borgir is basically Ghost with growl vocals.

      fltbm cxs I've seen Dimmu twice. Once with Vortex, and once without. The band is nothing without him. This song in particular without Vortex and Mustis in a live setting is mediocre at best.

      Jester TheZombie I looked at my comment. Yeah, I think my words weren't in order. Vortex brought a great atmosphere in vocals and remember Kings of Carnival Creation, this song and Symposium. They both are what I liked to tune in on. It's like Martin and Sarah not in COF how Vortex and Mutiis not in Dimmu.

    Yeahhhhhh!!!🤟🏼😎 i still Love this track of Dimmu!!!🤟🏼😎 i've got almost all their albums, even their earliër albums,...but i still love their unique Symphonic Blackmetal style, its almost like Epic Symphonic Blackmetal they make the last years, even their music vids looks like the're movie-like👍🏼👍🏼🙂😎 its been a long time i've seen them Live on stage, also because of the Covid Lockdown, but i hope i can see them in the future Live on stagr again somewhere anyhow, and this time i will bring a friend of me who loves Dimmu Borgir as well but never saw them Live on Stage.👍🏼😉🤟🏼😎🤟🏼so keep going guys!!!!🤟🏼😎
