Cheers Kenneth. No long term symptoms I’m glad to say. I had an abscess at the same time and I it got lost in the pain I was in at the time. I love it too. Yet I’ve only used it in the garden not in the wilderness. I should sort that really. Thanks for reminding me.
It's been so long here in SW Texas since we've had a good rain I'm just loving the whole sound of the rain on the tarp. I miss the rain and the sound of it. (I've lived in other places with real rain. LOL) I appreciate seeing you guys who are showing how to use these correctly. I just got mine and it's not just starting the fire on top, but loading it right with the wood prepped right. Thanks for showing that.
Glad you liked the video Amos. Living in England we get rain all the time. Even Julius Caesar hated the English rain. I’d love to see Texas though. I love history and the Alamo is somewhere I’d like to look around.
Thx Rob, much appreciated, especially knowing your predicament! I for one would say it was totally worth your effort 👍. Like many of us I also have a wood gasifier, but generally light it with all fuel wood, load it like you do but leave a hole in the middle where I put my tinder, I’ve found as long as the wood closest to the tinder has feather/ ragged edges it lights first time. It was good to see you answer you own question about the need for more tinder! Hope you get the all clear soon. All the very best from here in deepest Dorset 👍
Nice one 👍🏽.. don't matter where you are, it's better than sitting in front of the telle . Yes this is the correct way to light these stoves..I have one in my collection also and use it regularly . TIP when boiling or cooking in pans use the trivits provided instead of the grill part. This let's more air in and out so less smoking 😉
I have a load of wood gas stoves, you build the fire upside down except the fire starter goes below the thinnest twigs so the fire starter can set them alight. And one pad would do, you don't want them creating a barrier to the rest of the wood catching alight.
@@robtherover I have two of those gasification stoves, my first one had to have the burn cup holes enlarged with a drill. Second one works fine as is(for pellets). You may need to use a wood/wax firestarter or some meths to avoid smoldering. ATB
Hope you got better and aren’t having any long term symptoms. Love those little wood stoves. Have fun stay safe.

Thanks Rob, excellent realtime content.
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
Finally! Someone has setup a gasifier stove properly! Great video.
Also, it's amazing how coyotes sound like children. LOL
Thanks Darrell. Yeah and some of the wildlife around here can be just as feral as coyotes.

Thank you Clive. I like the idea of the hole in the middle. I'll have to try it sometime when I'm allowed out. All the best to you mate.

I thought the exact thing about using the trivets next time. Cheers Scott.
Great video mate, sometimes it is nice to just sit in the garden and just chill 👍 see you out soon 🤗
cheers mate. I guess it's all I can do at the moment. I'll be going for a wander next week that's for sure.

Thanks for the info John. I must use my gasifier more often.
Try using wood pellets if you can find them, works a treat!
I have tried using wood pellets before in the gasifier. But they just started to smoulder.

@@connosaurus I used the cat litter wood pellets. Is that what you use? I started thinking they were treated with something to stop them burning.
@@robtherover Mine were for heating, got a 50 lbs bag for 7 CAD
@@connosaurus thanks mate. I’ll see if I can find some and give it go.
