absolutely. this is by far the best guide for building budget friendly fpv drones. most of the tutorial made by other youtuber uses some expensive parts.

be careful - this is not a "cheap drone setup". you'll need the fpv goggles, remote and HOURS of training before you can bring this thing outside. this is not you typical dji/whatever fly ready consumer drone!

There’s so much drama about FPV being dead and analog being dead, but there is soooo much coming out of China at such low rates that I actually think we’re heading into a new era of analog, with new pilots joining the ranks with these cheap options. You’re doing good work here…
Analog will make a comeback. Its breakdown is easier to spot and theres evennways to make repeater systems for them. Just as in war or redbull downhill. I actually just bought a used pair of hdo2 and rapidfire for some budget builds and whoops.
im sure you already use this but you should mention to the new people that rosin core solder is also a must. once i started using rosin core solder, soldering became like riding a bike, dont even think about anymore
Did you cut off the ground and 5v out wires on the vtx? I was confused on where to solder them until i went back in the video and it seems you dont use them or have them on your vtx. Thank you for the guide it has made getting into the building very easy so far.

I got the 60A ESC, and when I got everything soldered correctly, I plugged in the battery with a smoke stopper and it started beeping... after looking for a bit at the internet, I found that it could be smoke stopper fault, so I tried without - it wasn't the smoke stopper :D Anyway, I have then found out, that something must have been wrong with one motor output, because when I unsoldered the motor (new, working), everything booted up correctly without fault. So I wrote a refund to AliExpress yesterday and today they told me that I will get my money back. Overall great customer support, I'm ordering a replacement from Ysido rn.

Great build, one word of caution though. The pinecil linked is a knockoff and is more than the original ( at least for me ). Also don't be like me and forget to select the fc and esc combo stack. I just bought the fc.
Is it okay if I get the stack with the 60A esc? I'll be using the same motors but there's not a huge price difference between them so if I get the 60A variation I'll be able to upgrade my motors (I will upgrade it for sure after some time)
Just built one like in the video, but get the better camera the fisheye is terrible on the cheapo one. Also there are kits on ali with the frame motors and esc fc stack😅

It should, just note that the M6D only accepts DC power input so you will need a separate power supply. The Hota D6 can plug into a standard wall outlet

Hi thanks for build. I have a quesiton - motors are not start together if I use Lihv battery (1550 mAh, 60C, 22.8v, 6s1p, 35.34wh), but when I check them one by one in Betaflight its ok, they spin. But if together - no. Is it something to battery related? I also ended up using speedebee stack cause yisdo couldnt see my computer..... ((
Look in the power tab for Betaflight, I think you have to do something special for LiHv 6s since betaflight usually does not expect such high voltages. Or charge it as a standard Lipo and Lihv
@@hoardersam10 thanks for the feedback, so probably I resolved that issue and basically the issue was with voltage, e.g. for high KV speed we should use lover voltage (14v+), for low KV speed we should use higher voltage (22v+) . Chat GPT also calcuclated that with current battery voltage (22v+) motors should run too hight rpm value, which causes hight load... as 1v == KV per minute of your motors
You would need different camera and video transmitter and diffeeent goggles. Usually in digital systems like walksnail the camera and video transmitter is combined into one part.
Is it possible to freestyle this? I am a beginner and I want to build a decent drone. And are 6s lipo’s possible on this. The esc would handle it but how about the motors?

Had a brain fart, I assume this 5vout and ground are for some sort of peripheral, as there are two grounds
I removed the pins for those extra 5v and ground. They are to power a camera in case you don't use a flight controller (like cars or airplanes).

The Echos are not diversity and only have one antenna, so the signal will be worse with them

It's not much different, it only really fixes a bug with the O3 air unit. So either one will work just fine for this build

Yeah the 60A will work exactly the same, its the same as the 45A except they just used better MOSFETs

Not very well at freestyle. I'd get modern motors like 2207 ~1800kv motors and not these red bottoms

Not very good I think, the motors aren't powerful like modern ones. I'd use modern 2207 or 2306 motors for freestyle

Is it possible to freestyle this? I am a beginner and I want to build a decent drone. And are 6s lipo’s possible on this. The esc would handle it but how about the motors?
If you don’t have a GoPro on it I think it would have plenty of power for freestyling

@@domnicdrakon If you just want to fly, the Avata 2 is good for that budget, and then when the DJI O4 comes out you can use the goggles from the Avata 2 with it.

I'm committed to building a drone specifically for learning line of sight, no camera/fpv, stricly LOS acro. could you do a video on building something like that for cheap? only item I have for this so far is a flysky fs16 transmitter and receiver. (it's not elrs). pleeeeeease :)
