He was one of 10 kids raised on a farm. Never learned to read or write. Served in the Navy in WWII (which is how I came to be here). One of the wisest and most real people I've ever known. So glad I came across Tyler's music. Besides being just generally great and real the way my grandfather was, I immediately heard grandpa's way of speaking, phraseology, mannerisms, etc. It's like I get to kind of hang out & listen to him talk for a while. Wish I would have had discovered Tyler before when I did earlier this year so I could have seen him playing in my hometown. I would so love to see him back in Bristol, VA!

Tyler is one of my favorites. I’m a serious metal head, but I love good music in every form. Tyler, Billy Strings, Marcus King… don’t say there’s no good new music out. You sound foolish. There’s tons! All 3 of those young men and as real as it gets. And are just as talented as anyone to come before them.
I wish he would put Out on A Drunk on his next cd.
