I love seeing losi go all in on the mini stuff! I think more companies need to follow suit in the 1/16 1/18 stuff. Cheaper way of getting into the hobby but still a blast!!!!
I do see what you mean but if we look at the prices of spares and upgrades, not cheap at all. It is such a shame. And a few other companies do offer alternatives. Team Associated do the Reflex 14B and FTX do very cheap alternatives with much cheaper parts but admittedly the quality isn't as good. I think Losi have missed a trick by not making parts and upgrades better value but these are still great to see and use.
Wow, what a cracking little buggy! It looks good, runs well, it's way quicker than I was expecting, and seems to handle great too. And that track, very, very nice ;)
we can only only hope Losi see sense from this and re release a micro T range.. The best rc truck they ever made!! Im looking forward to seeing what stuff fits the mini T especially the swaybar kits
I had the mini LST (upgraded to brushless LIPO) and the MicroT as a kid so when I wandered into a hobby shop a few months ago and found MiniT/B’s in stock I geeked out so hard and picked a Buggy up today can’t wait to rip it when I’ve got some down time.
Also, that ESC is programmable! I've found that tuning the punch down one to two steps helps out a *ton* with the throttle curve. Turning the brake down one step works really well, too 👌🏼
Got my mini b from the enfield shop.. great people! I’m just down the road in Springfield mass .. amazing to have such a great hobby shop so close.. support your local hobby shops!
I just bought my mini B. what a awesome RC ! I love this car. So zippy. Rear Tyres don't last long for road use ! I highly recommend this RC. On the carpet is where this car really SHINES !! You naiĺed it Losi. I dont use the clip.
@@PSF_RC-PatSmageFilmsI have a CF chassis mini8 that hasn’t seen love in a love time. I’ve salvaged some parts off it for other projects, but I had a castle system in it that ripped.
It looks awesome Love my old mini losi’s I’m bashing mine so 1 run’s 6100kv and 4s with a custom stretched chassis and full steel gear set the other is pretty much stock just drilled and lightened
I picked up a mini t 2.0 a while back at a pawn shop really cheap, it’s tons of fun! It’s the brushed version and I think it’s great as it is! It would be kind of nice to be just a little faster but the brushless isn’t for me, I’d rather have a 1/10 for going faster. I ended up getting the knobby tires from the brushless one and it made it much better for me since I only run it on dirt too though
Got to be real, I had a 1/14 mini 8t for a while that was one of the first really fast rc cars I ever had. It was a learning experience for sure. I still have some brushless mini electronics, I should probably track down a kit verson to play with inside this winter.
I have a question. How does this version compare to the Roller kit version. Cus it seems this version has a lot of changes to the original and i cant tell if the roller has those same changes or if the roller follows the original design with a few upgraded parts.
From the day I got my first Tamiya Rough Rider in 1979, EVERY buggy to come along has been " The Fastest Buggy Yet". Every NEW buggy after that had to be faster and faster.
Another great video! Would you say the Mini-B is generally faster than the Mini-T? Or are they "easier" to get faster with due to the longer wheelbase? Or is it just driver preference?
Great Video !! Would love to know what you think of the new front ribbed tires is the compound on the front tires the same as the new rear tires if so what is your thought of the front tires ? Any information would much be appropriated.....
We have the Pro Roller with brushless motors. We are really struggling with traction rolling on carpet. We have ride height as low as possible, and still rolls in every fast corner. Any suggestions?
First would be to back off on the dual rate. On high grip tracks, more physical steering throw will trick you into using it and oversteering can cause too much roll in the corner. Next old school trick is to coat the outside of the front tires with CA. Just a thin coat. This will allow the tire to slide in the corner rather than grip as the face rolls. Be aware you’ll have to adjust your driving as it will feel like it’s under steering. Or you can try the swaybar sets too to reduce chassis roll in the corners.
I like my Mini B but i rarely use it as i dont have many places to run it. I bought a roller when it was on sale from HH and then bought a RTR body as i dont paint bodies. My Mini has a Castle Mamba Micro with an 8200kv.
@@rcdriver sssswwweeet! I like the truggy version better personally, looks wise I'm talking, performance I cant really comment much I've been looking at them for about a year and always buy something else, I have some tires already for it that I ordered for another car but wouldnt clear the c hub so I'm thinking for Christmas I may treat myself
Would you be willing to do a speed test mini video short on the buggy to see it's top speed? To see how it compares in speed to the brushed version? Awesome video again. 🎉
Quick question regarding the included charger as I have never had Spektrum batteries before. I know that Spektrum batteries will, after a while, auto discharge from full, down to storage voltage (around 50%). But after doing a run with any of my other cars, I then charge my used batteries UP to that 50% storage voltage (as opposed to charging them up to 100%) So my question is, any idea if there is a way to take such batteries up to storage charge and then stop? Or will I have to do some trial and error experimenting and learn to just turn off the charger after, say, 15 or 20 minutes. Thanks to anyone who can help 👍
I found the throttle was way too punchy out the box even for playing around in the house so I dumbed down the settings in the speed control. Much better now.
Dynamite 2 n 1, rebranded? No mention of the wing mount that always busted. I have a carbon mount wing that’s fully adjustable. LOSI needs to make better ball cups and wing mounts for this kit.
2 in 1 is basically the same, but shifted to a factory that uses better quality components. No mention of a broken wing mount because I’ve never broken one on any of my Mini B’s nor have I ever seen one broken at the track. Ball-cups still need some attention.
Alot of chassis smacking I like it I would it rather not have esc made inside the motor , Id rather want the stiffer springs and thicker oil in da shocks so it's not smacking so bad.
The answer is yes. It’s too fast to race on a track. Should’ve been a 4000kv range unless that 6000 can be geared down enough? 40mph is way too much and driving it slower will make the electronics hot accelerating and decelerating with it overgeared.

Soooo so excited for this one! Will definitely be picking one or two up 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Just bought one cuz of this video thanks for the content man! Great footage
Got the mini t 2.0 brushless some month ago, a mini beast and really fun to play with.
I don't know why the Mini 8 fell off in popularity. I feel like they could update that design and it would outsell the mini b.
Those were super fun! A longer chassis would have helped a lot. Wish they would have kept them going.

would be nice as a kit.
do you think its better than the brushed?
12mm Hex tire hex?
About time!
Wish I could keep a servo in mine
Can anyone tell me how many minutes of run time can one expect with the stock battery?
4 to 5 minutes??
Less??
Do you know what range of pinions will fit? Mainly the smallest that fits. About to buy two of them if I can slow em down enough.
Can’t find my small pinions but a friend thought you can go down to a 16T. You can also use the Throttle Limit switch on the radio to tame the speed.
Is the power delivery any smoother than the dynamite 2 in 1?
Same feel as the Dynamite.
We have 3d printed body mouts for SC bodies!
Does it have a slipper clutch?
Yup, revised too.

It comes with a base setup. You get to tune it however you like.
ADD Some EXPO to your Throttle channel so that the power transition isn't so INSTANT, she wont flip over so quick.
The stock radio doesn't have Expo.
